Sacrificed a couple chaos 40k decals to make something more appropriate for skellie standard bearer.
(Didnt have the intestinal fortitude to freehand it. 😅)
And now the gang's all here.
I've taken to calling the Archie, Betty, and Veronica.
1st proper AoS model. Technique needs refinement, hopefully that'll show with the other two.
Most of them, anyway.
I was building a squad of regular raveners, and my brain went to a weird place....
(Obviously it makes no practical sense for a burrower to have a sword and whip but... since when does 40k really make sense?)
I'm biased, but Zoanthropes should have tentacles as a default setting.
(Even when you glue the limbs backwards *cough* it still works, weirdly enough)
Couldnt leave these guys out of the collection.
Let's say I had 2 Norn kits, and for collection/display i wanted to have an Emissary and an Assimilator, *but* also leave the option open to field either in casual games.
(And do the least amount of magnetizing possible)
Basically it would be building each body, then magnetize the heads, right?
If an Assimilator body has an Emissary head, and I declare it an Emissary, shouldnt cause too much of an issue play-wise (unless my opponent is a puritan)?
I like the Assimilator body more, but the Emissary head wins for me.
Functionally useless, and a source of potential problems in-game (?), but I'm liking the look of Zoanthropes with arms...
I guess i'm going to have to learn how to play them now...
Tried to keep it consistent with my Hive Fleet colors, but "Red" is in the name so...
I keep reading that the Parasite is "cool model, not great on the table".

I definitely agree with the first part.
(Havent played enough to comment on second part)
Thankfully magnetizing was really really simple. Shame to let a perfectly good gaping maw go to waste.
Just in time for my first learning game for 11th ed (and 40k in general)
Im digging the red highlights on purple carapace, tbh...
No disrespect to the GW design (or those that like it), but the default box art pose of the Whip Prime wasnt quite my thing.
Tried adding a little more dynamism in the pose with epoxy putty and good intentions. We'll see tomorrow if it holds up (literally)
