sick note - lying to GP

i took time off work and requested sick note from GP due to my mental health

my managers a bit of a prick so i also requested medication to relay this back to him. thing is - i never actually took the medication due to concerns on side effects - eg suicidal tendencies

i requested a sick note extension giving the impression ive been taking medication , and instead ive been given another gp appointment to review my treatment

im not sure what to do. even if i was to stick to the lie that ive been taking it , GP will see i never ordered a repeat prescription so i would’ve run out by now

i could just be honest with the GP that i lied about taking it but dont think they’ll take my mental health seriously and may deny the sick note?

compliance caseworker interview results

i done my video interview on 29th april and i haven’t heard back yet. has anyone else submitted it around this date?

im a bit worried as i go on my account page and it just says interview slot booked

i’ve seen other threads where they come back and say application withdrawn as it wasn’t submitted on time (although it was)

what’s the career progression like working in this role at HMRC? are there a lot of opportunities within HMRC? if not would i gain enough skills/experience to look outside of HMRC?

if looking elsewhere, i’ve heard the training received at TCCS is not really recognised externally. would i be able to progress to, say, compliance associate role in financial sector with the experience/skills alone?

i’ve not got a degree or relevant experience. I do work in financial services however i’m more so in the customer facing side of things. I’d like to build a career in governance/CoSec and pursue getting CGI.

Is there any advice on how I can get into an assistance/trainee CoSec role? In an ideal world I would pay for the CGI myself however it’s not affordable.

I’ve been applying for jobs where I may not entirely fit the criteria to test my luck - especially roles where there are training schemes which fund for the CGI.

Any advice from those in the industry would be greatly appreciated

I’m based in UK
