redhat idm and entra id

A little confused, how exactly does hooking redhat idm into entra id work ? ( not windows ad ).

I understand that “user can be configured to authenticate using Microsoft Entra ID as external identity provider. With this method, IdM domain must be installed, and IdM user needs to be created before the user can authenticate with Microsoft Entra ID.”

So if I’ve got hundreds of users managed currently, I need to create all those on idm side and set them to use auth with entra ? Similarly , will the users in idm be able to benefit from other nice features of idm ? i.e managin their acces, sudoers and so on?

Lifelong multiplayer gamer (Dota, LoL, CoD, CS) looking to finally try single player — where do I start?

I’ve basically only ever played competitive multiplayer games — Dota 2, League, CoD, some CS 1.6 back in the day. Never really touched single player games seriously and feel like I’m missing out on a huge part of gaming.

Looking for recommendations that could hook someone coming from a MOBA/shooter background. Not sure what genre would even click for me — RPGs, story-driven stuff, roguelikes, whatever. Open to anything as long as it’s genuinely great.

A few questions:

**•**	What’s a good “gateway” single player game for someone used to fast-paced competitive stuff?
**•**	Should I ease in with something shorter, or just dive into a big RPG?
**•**	Any hidden gems that don’t get recommended as often as the obvious picks (Witcher 3, Elden Ring, etc.)?

Appreciate any suggestions!

Ev charing solar battery

Hi all,

I need some guidance pls, I recently installed solar + battery + ev charger. I notice that whenever I charge overnight it discharges my battery and I’d prefer to only pull from the grid using my time of use tariff.

The battery make is fox ess and charger is zappi, I read somewhere I could do with some modbus, but I cannot find any detailed guide how to go about setting it up, any help is muchly appreciated!

p.s I have home assistant running too in my home

ev charging

Hi all,

I will soon have to charge my car for the very first time and I am more than confused.

I am with e.on next drive smart, and I plan to make use of the time of day rate, now my question is, where is it best to schedule the charging times? fromm what I am seeing I can do it via next home app, via zappi ( I have a myenergi zappi ), via the car itself ( Tesla m3 ).

Anybody can shed some light?

thx

Used Tesla M3 type 2 cable

Hi all,

I just bought a used M3 and I noticed it did not com with a type 2 charger, it does have a universal mobile connector, but I do not see how I could use that with my zappi charger at home.

Anybody experienced can recommend?

rh satellite - licensing

Hey all,

Red Hat Satellite licensing is confusing me — what do I actually need?

I have a Red Hat Developer subscription (16 nodes) and I want to use Satellite to manage patching across my RHEL servers. Can I not just use one of the nodes as a satellite server? or would I need some other specific license to be able to ? I cannot find enough info in the rh docs about it specifically.

I also noticed there is a 60 day evaluation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, which presumably includes "Access to Red Hat Satellite and Red Hat Lightspeed", that different from the dev account I have.

Anybody can shed some light? Thx so much!

EX362 - resources

Hi all,

I plan on studying and doing the EX362 RH exam, but am struggling to find resources to study from.. has anybody done it and can share what resources they used? Apart from the redhat courses which cost a fortune. Maybe just the official rh docs?

My wife and I are looking to get solar panels, I am fairly new into it and need to do my reading and research. But I had a few questions for the more experienced out there, how big of a battery do people generally get? We are a couple and we use around 1800 kWh per year, one of us works from home 3 days, also is there any rule of thumb for how many panels to get? I was thinking about 10 assuming they would fit on the roof, looking at e.on next for the company to go with, any opinions about them are appreciated. 😄
