I’m looking for some advice. I am having to buy a 2nd property on a mortgage to house my father. I have read from multiple sources that a 2nd property is disregarded if a close relative or parents are living there.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

As from my understanding this shouldn’t impact the UC I am getting but want to be sure.
