I just noticed - in the last episode of season 3, Roy is setting up his new manager office and he hangs one of Phoebe’s breasts drawings with tape over the nipples 😂 This is my favorite callback of the entire show.
Every time I see a book I actually want to read on ACX, I have about 7 seconds to record an audition before they pull it or make an offer. I was so excited to record an audition tomorrow for a book that just went on ACX (my voice is hoarse today) and they already picked someone. 🤦♀️ Please give it at least 48 hours so you don’t miss out on some good voices. 😁
I am a beginner audiobook narrator and I love how 15 minutes of vocal exercises improves my voice. I go from Marge Simpson’s smoking sisters to Jessica Rabbit after I warm up. I do breathing meditation, humming, and tongue twisters because I mumble.
What am I missing? What are your “can’t live without” warm up exercises?
Also. How do I train the monotone out of my voice? I sound like Aubrey Plaza and I am struggling to get rid of it. Audiobook listeners do not like monotone voices.
