Why is Alphayi's Sym wall so bad?

I don't know how to phrase this without sounding mean, because he is so good and his team is looking so strong.

It's just one of the stranger situations I have seen. He is clearly a very good sym otherwise, but almost all of his walls are placed in a way that it can be kited. It's literally diamond level.

It's so strange that he has 3 teammates who played with Checkmate who literally started the modern Sym playstyle in pro. If even 1 or 2 of his completely fucked walls were not that they actually wouldn't lose a single game this week.

Is there a potential theory why they do these wall perpendicular to fight direction instead of deep cut walls? It's clearly not working since they never get much value from it.

Casual viewers' guide

Hey all, appreciate the help ahead of time. I am trying to get into watching brood wars but it's really hard to find content designed for new viewers. So I need some help.

**Who I am**:

I casually played all the campaigns of SC2 and watched a lot of tournaments for a decade, but never played SC2 multiplayer. Never played Brood Wars.

**What I need**:

Recommendation for content that will help me appreciate the Brood Wars tournament because I want to start watching those. Hopefully plenty for me to digest but no longer than 2-3 hours in total.

Thank you for the help.

All supports effectively showcased except the "do-nothing bot" trinity in OWCC so far

Appreciation post for the meta variety. Despite the frustration of the Castion mirrors, the rest of the meta is giving us a decent variety. As an example, thanks to the ban system and the decent overall balance state, all supports are effectively used in this tournament so far aside from the worthless Mercy/Moira/Lifeweaver. We are seeing insane tank variety as well, to the point I think the only tanks not seeing meaningful play time is JQ and Domina.

Enjoying it so far!
