Hi, I have an appointment tomorrow and the artist sent me the custom piece we had discussed awhile back for me to approve today.

I had sent a bunch of references images, including some other tattoos from other artists I found on Pinterest and insta (for inspo and vibes, I specified I didn’t want those exact copies). I really like this artist’s style.

However when I got the final artwork today (it’s of a cat along with some things however the cat is a main focal point of the piece) i realised the pose the cat was in was almost a one for one of a work found on Pinterest. Like down to the lines where its legs are bent. The coat pattern is different, but I’m pretty certain figure itself is the same.

I wanted an artwork from this artist not her take on someone else’s artwork. Can I just straight up bring up the copied/inspired art work and ask her to change it or would that be rude?

Any tips on how I can ask her to change it without coming off as rude or insulting?

I know it’s short notice, I’d asked to see the work earlier but she said she’ll send it 1-2 days before my appointment so here I am

Hi! I’m travelling between Melbourne and Sydney in July and there’s an artist visiting who I’ve been wanting a piece from for awhile.
But because of the schedule I’ll likely be getting one tattoo (in Melb) and then the second (in sydney) about two days after the first. Both tattoos are around 3-5 cm, nothing huge and only black in colour.
I was hoping to get them on the same arm, on different spots though

I was wondering if that’s generally okay or not?
I did email one of the artist to ask but I’m still waiting on a reply and just got a bit anxious about it.
