Both are overpowered fantasy protagonists who have fought literal gods in their verses. So after watching the first few episodes of Overgeared, and finishing the 2 seasons of Solo Leveling, it got me thinking, who would win between these two fantasy behemoths, the Shadow Monarch Sung Jinwoo or the legendary forger Shin Youngwoo aka Grid. Comment down below.
Both characters are at their peak, with all their abilities, skills and their equipment. So who would win in an epic mashup between the Bear Knight Yuna and the Legendary Forger Grid (aka Shin Youngwoo)? Comment down below!
Who will win between the two OP gamers. The Legendary forger Grid or the Overlord Ainz Ooal Gown? Comment down below.
The anime adaptation of Overgeared has finally been announced, and after seeing the 2nd trailer, it got me thinking "Who would win between the two gaming titans, Kirito (Sowrd Art Online) and Shin Youngwoo aka Grid (from Overgeared)", so I decided to make this matchup. Both characters have access to all their equipment from their respective games and verses, so comment down who would win.
So i just recently stumbled upon this obscure VRMMO light novel series called "Criss Cross: The Demon King of Chaos" which was written in 1994 by Kyoichiro Takahata, with illustrations by Rin Sagawa, and won the Gold Prize at the Dengeki Novel Prize (illustraton of the first volume below).
Criss Cross: The Demon King of Chaos light novel first volume cover
The Synopsis is as follows: MDB9000. Codename "Gigant". It is a supercomputer built by Japan with all its strength. This giant electronic brain, which boasts the world's highest functionality, was put into the virtual reality RPG "Dungeon Trial" that allows 256 players to play simultaneously. Participants who enjoy the virtual world just like reality in the general preview. However, what was waiting for them was not a gorgeous ending, but a chilling horror ...
Only 2 volumes of this light novel has been released, and I have heard that in this novel, the VR devices have electrodes which gives players their senses, meaning that they can experience pain, and if they die in the game, they die in real life, and one eventually makes it out alive. You won't be able to find this novel anywhere (even online), but this proves that neither .hack//sign nor Sword Art Online was the first to do trapped in a VRMMORPG premise, it was this that did it.

I am looking for a magical girl anime (one that is not singing or idol based, not that I hate those, but that's not what I am looking for here) that is fully aimed at a shonen demographic, has lots of action (but not dark like Puella Magi Madoka Magica, or doesn't get too dark like Yuki Yuna is a Hero).
Pls don't suggest any shojo, seinen magical girls anime (not that I hate them, I like them too, but I am looking for something shonen-oriented). Don't suggest any dark magical girls anime (not that I hate them), but something light hearted (with some dark moments here and there) and action-packed (which I will say again is aimed at a shonen demographic).
Many senen-oriented fantasy anime tend to be dark fantasies (and even light fantasies like Danmachi, Mushoku Tensei and Witch Hat Atelier become dark fantasies sooner or later). So is there a light hearted fantasy anime (oriented fully at a seinen audience) that despite having some dark moments here and there, still maintains a light-hearted fantasy vibe throughout (and doesn't get dark at all). Do you guys have any suggestions?
I'm not talking about shonen fantasy anime (not that they are bad, I like them too).
I watched the Season 1 Aincrad arc of Sword Art Online (didn't go for the Alfheim part due to the controversy surrounding it), and I felt like Season 1 of the show badly needs a remake. One that is more faithful to the dark and gritty vibe of the Light Novels (where Kirito is a deeply conflicted character, has monologues and Kirito is no 95% Gary Stu type character, the reason I say 95% is because in the anime, Kirito does struggle against Kuradeel and loses to Heathcliff in Floor 75, but somehow doesn't die and defeats Heathcliff).
I feel like this could be done my a more competent studio like Madhouse, Kyoto Animation, MAPPA or WIT Studio (not that A-1 Pictures is bad). And I feel like they should keep the original voice actors and the OST by Yuki Kajiura (or perhaps she could even collaborate with an equally good composer like Hans Zimmer).
If the original light novels are missing things out, mabye they too could adapt some things from the Progressive novels as well, and mix them all together to make a good, faithful remake.
What do you guys think?
