Qualified CMA (June 2026) without a B.Com degree — anyone else in the same boat? How is job hunting going?

I cleared my CMA Final recently
However, I don't have a traditional bachelor's degree (like B.Com).
For those who are in the same boat or have gone through this:
Do corporate HR filters or background verification create issues for lack of a graduation degree once you have the CMA qualification?
Did you end up doing a distance degree (like IGNOU) just to clear ATS checkboxes, or did your CMA certificate alone get the job done?
Looking for some real insights on how companies treat this. Thanks!

cma india + acca without a bcom — will i face visa/job issues abroad? need advice!

hey everyone,

i'm a freshly qualified cma (icmai) with 15 months of firm articleship experience. planning to start acca soon since my main goal is to work abroad (or transition to big 4 / gccs in india).

since i have my cma, i get direct exemptions for the first 9 papers and only need to clear the 4 strategic professional ones.

my dilemma is that i don't have a bcom or any university bachelor's degree.

i'm planning to work locally in corporate finance/costing for 2 years while finishing acca, but i want to know if skipping a bcom will cause actual issues later with:

  1. work visas & embassy attestation: especially in gulf/middle east countries where labor ministries ask for a stamped bachelor's degree.
  2. pr points evaluation: for canada express entry / australia skilled visas (wes/vetassess).
  3. hr/ats filters: corporate portals dropping applications automatically if "bachelor's degree" is checked "no".

i'm considering enrolling in a low-effort online bcom (like online manipal or ignou) just to have the degree in hand.

for those who've done acca without a bcom and moved abroad (or work in big 4/mncs), is an online bcom necessary or am i overthinking this? since the obu bsc route is closed now, what's the best way forward?

thanks in advance!

Cleared CMA Final (June '26) at 27, but no B.Com. Should I do ASTP & sit for Campus Placements? What about Convocation?

Hey everyone,
I’m looking for some advice on my career path. I’m a 27 year old male and I just fully qualified as a CMA in the June 2026 term. My Final journey looked like this: gave Group 4 in June 2025 (didn't clear), cleared G4 in Dec 2025, and finally cleared Group 3 in June 2026.

My biggest concern right now is that I do not have a B.Com or any undergraduate degree. I only have my CMA qualification and my 15 months of articleship experience.

I have a few specific questions for working professionals here:

  1. Should I do the ASTP? Is it going to add value to my profile, or is it strictly a compliance step for placements?
  2. If I skip ASTP, can I still attend Convocation? Or is ASTP mandatory for getting my Final certificate and attending the convocation ceremony?
  3. Should I sit for ICMAI Campus Placements? Given my age (27), my attempts, and specifically the lack of a Bachelor's degree, will companies even shortlist me?

Any guidance or reality checks would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Xiaomi India Service Issue: No trackpad replacement parts available for Xiaomi Notebook Ultra & Customer Care unresponsive (Bhilwara, Rajasthan)

Hi everyone,

I'm posting this out of sheer frustration hoping to get advice or visibility from Xiaomi India.

I own a Xiaomi Notebook Ultra, and recently the trackpad stopped working properly. I went to the official Xiaomi service center here in Bhilwara (Rajasthan), but they flatly told me that the required replacement parts are not available.

To make matters worse, Xiaomi's official customer care hotline (1800-103-6286) hasn't been reachable, leaving me with no escalation path or ETA for when the part will be in stock.

Has anyone faced a similar issue with Xiaomi laptop spare parts in tier-2/3 cities?

  1. Is there a way to escalate this to Xiaomi India's nodal/grievance team?

  2. If Xiaomi won't supply the part, where can I source a compatible trackpad replacement online or through third-party vendors?

Any help or advice on how to get Xiaomi to respond would be greatly appreciated!
