Need advice regarding my credit card upgrade.

I currently have a secured Gold credit card that’s around 1 year old, credit limit is 85k. Gusto ko sana i-upgrade sa Platinum Rewards with 150k credit limit. The bank told me they need to cancel my current card first before issuing the upgraded one.

I’m worried if cancelling my current card would negatively affect my credit score/history since it’s my main card and I’m trying to build a strong credit profile long term.
