Ako lang ba medyo napapagod na sa mga post sa group sa fb (funny, that acronym is not allowed here hahah) tungkol sa annual fee?

Gets ko naman na gusto nating lahat makatipid. Ako rin, tumatawag din ako para mag-request ng annual fee waiver. Walang masama dun.

Pero parang ang dami kasing post na galit na galit sa bank or sa CS pag hindi na-waive.

Guys, credit cards are bank products. Business yan. Kailangan din nilang kumita. Kumikita sila sa merchant fees kada swipe natin (yes, may binabayaran ang merchants sa banks), interest from people na may unpaid balances, at annual fees. Ganun talaga ang business model nila.

Tapos isipin niyo rin yung mga benefits na nakukuha natin:
Cashback
Miles
Airport lounges
Travel insurance
Installment offers
Fraud protection
Hindi mo na kailangan mag-withdraw ng cash para bumili
May around 20+ days kang interest-free bago mo pa bayaran yung purchase mo (basta full payment)

Lahat ng yan may cost din sa bank.

Ang annual fee waiver, request siya, hindi guarantee. Walang masama magtanong, pero kung hindi na-approve, hindi rin kasalanan ng CS. Hindi naman sila ang gumagawa ng policy.

At the end of the day, nung nag-apply tayo ng card, alam dapat natin kung may annual fee o wala. Responsibility natin yun as cardholders. Kung feeling mo hindi sulit yung benefits para sa annual fee, valid naman yun. Pwede kang magpa-downgrade, mag-cancel, o humanap ng card na mas bagay sa spending mo.

Kung ginagamit mo naman yung benefits ng card, madalas nababawi mo rin yung annual fee. Ang problema, minsan gusto natin lahat ng perks pero ayaw nating magbayad ng cost ng card.

Yun lang. Baka unpopular opinion, pero napapadalas ko na talagang makita yung ganitong posts sa isang group sa fb. And I also posted this here because I think this post won’t get approved in that group.

I have over 200k worth of credit points, i heard pwede raw maconvert to miles. How to do this? Or would you know if there's a better alternative? Thank you in advance

1. Counted naman dito yung utility bills no? Chinek ko kasi mga disqualified transaction hindi siya listed don.

2. Magkano po ang dapat maspend mo para makuha yung 1500 mismo?

Hello, hoping to get advice. I am a college student, and kahapon I decided to open an Atome account since sabi ng friend ko maganda siyang entry if I want to have a cc and build a good credit score. Fortunately I was approved din agad ngayon w a cl of 5,000. Hindi naman po ako masyadong magastos as a student and I primarily want to use this for building a good credit score for my future. I've read a few issues na din kay atome and honestly natatakot ako na mangyari din sakin yun so I am thinking of closing my atome account na din. Any advice po?

Ask ko lang po, I have a transaction last June 28 of Php. Xx, xxx. Then, SOA date kopo kase is Every 4th of the month. Then afterwards, cinonvert kopo sya into installment after lumabas ng SOA, shall I still pay the whole bill amount na relfected sa SOA or can I just pay for the Monthly Amortization based sa converted amount po?

Hi, so I'm planning to pay my BPI Free+ cc thru Lazada kasi may extra money ako sa Lazada wallet ko. Ok naman po ba to pay thru Lazada, di naman hassle? Thanks!

Nakalimutan ko kasi bayaran yung previous billing ko then dumating na yung bill ulit this month. So ang bill ko is previous bill + current + interest.

Ok lang ba bayaran ko yung previous bill + interest muna then yung current sa due date na?

Ask ko lang po kasi last July 2, 11pm nagbayad po ako ng Unionbank credit ko using BDO pero until now July 5 ay hindi pa nagrereflect sa Unionbank pero nabawas naman po agad sa BDO account ko same day.

Sino po ba ang dapat ko tawagan? BDO or UB?

An hour ago, I made a 50k trxn online and after 5 minutes I got a call from a landline number, caller mentioned he's from rcbc fraud team and he's just verifying if the trxn was really made by me. I had large trnxns using my BDO and BPI cards before but I never got a verification call like this.

Not sure if this is something that they do normally esp for large transactions, but kudos to them for having this kind of initiative.
