Rant lang: Nafrustrate lang ako sa RCBC. I've always been a good payer, consistently paying my credit card bills on time and in full, and I still have a substantial credit limit.

Since I urgently needed cash, I called the RCBC hotline to inquire about InstaCash. Usually, they would notify me via email or text if I was eligible to avail of it, but I haven't received any offers since July 2026.

This Monday, I called their hotline, and the agent informed me that I could avail of InstaCash, although the interest rate was 1%. Since I really needed the money, I agreed and was given a reference number. I was then asked to stay on the line while waiting for another agent to assist me. After 45 minutes, no one had answered. I waited for another 15 minutes, but still nothing. I eventually had to end the call because I had other things to do.

I called again at around 5 PM that same day. The process was exactly the same. I was given another reference number and told that an agent would call me back. I agreed to wait, but no one ever called.

Yesterday, Thursday, I called Customer Service again to follow up on why I never received the promised callback. To my surprise, I was told that I was no longer eligible for InstaCash and would have to wait until next month.

Of course, I was frustrated. I asked why, considering it wasn't my fault that no one assisted me or called me back on Monday. But knowing that there was probably nothing the customer service representative could do, I just asked them to create a ticket for my concern.

What makes this whole experience disappointing is that I've always been responsible with my credit card payments. I pay on time and in full, and I maintain a good payment record. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I simply needed access to cash when I needed it most.

It's frustrating when you're a good customer, yet when you finally need the service, you're left waiting, given the runaround, and eventually told you're no longer eligible because you weren't able to complete the process.

Honestly, this experience makes me consider closing my RCBC credit card. It's disappointing to feel that your loyalty and good payment history don't seem to matter when you actually need their assistance.

First time ko lang po magkaroon ng CC. Ask ko lang po kung tama po pagkaintindi ko sa mga nabasa ko.

First statement: October 16

Transactions before Oct. 16 + 21 days = Due date Nov. 6

Transactions after Oct. 16 to Nov. 16 + 21 days = Due date Dec. 7

Only use 30% or yung kayang bayaran sa total Credit Limit. Pay the outstanding balance after SOA. Always pay in full before the due date.

I have a JCB platinum that I forgot to pay a few months ago. RCBC then reduced my CL. After that, I made sure to use it always and pay it on time. Since then, always pang may overpayment yung card ko. I received a text last night na may CL was reduced again. What do I even do after this?

Anyone here na gumamit ng EW Visa and apparently dinrop "daw" yung cashback dahil naka-lock yung card? And then CS wants me to reach back out sa Visa to reprocess yung 1,5k? That's bullsh*t. I received the cashback naman on both Maya Black and GoTyme cards ko kahit naka-lock din. WTH?

may tumawag sakin to confirm if nadeliver na raw ba yung credit card ko. tapos nag answer naman ako yes. tapos kinonfirm sakin if tama raw babyung 4 last digits of my credit card number (unfortunately, i confirmed) and i was outside kaya sinasabi ko sakanya na nasa labas pa kasi ako pwede bang mamaya nalang nag lalakad.sabi ba naman sakin gumilid daw muna ako kasi para maasikaso na raw yung no annual fee for life. sabi kapag naka spend daw ako ng 3000 php, mawwaive na yung annual fee ko. seryoso?? 3k??? nag dududa na ako diro pero hinayaan ko lang. Tapos nect na hiningi sakin ay yung username ko sa app. (unfortunately nabigay ko rin) kasi sabi niya may nag expire raw akong points tapos yung mga natitira ko raw na points pwede raw nya iconvert as money to use sa hypermarket ganyan. so sabi ko okay sige. tapos aalis kasi talaga ako kaya sabi ko pwede bang mamaya na? “saglit lang to maam para magawa ko na pwede mo na gamitin mamaya” then okay sige. next naman sabi niya sakin “maam mali naman po yung username na binigay nyo” i know, i just know it from then na next na hihingin sakin yung OTP ko next kaya binabaan ko na siya.

i know dapat redflag na yung pagiging pushy niya pero hunayaan ko padin huhu

so, sa tingin niyo po ba need ko mag request ng bagong credit card? or hindi naman na compromise yung new credit card ko sa mga binigay kong info? hindi ko pa naactivate yung cc thank you huhu

Hi people, saw some old posts about buying giftaway gcash cards on Lazada to hit the naffl spend. Inofferan na din Kasi Ako finally Ng naffl 2nd card Ng rcbc pero parang antaas Ng spend requirements 60k for visa flex gold? Alam ko 40k lang Kasi dapat eh. Kaya medyo hesitant Ako to get it unless I can get it naffl.

Planning to get another cc, I have ub rewards and maribank only. I don't usually dine outside. My goal is for rewards/cashback since our monthly bills umaabot ng 20-25k. Also yung generous po sa cl? Thanks guys

If I call customer service and then dial in for credit card application, I just type my cellphone number and birthday. Afterwards, a system-generated response tells me that my credit card application is approved. However, I want to talk to an agent to know the delivery tracking number since I might not be at home to receive the card. How many days is the usual lead time from card approval (in my case, I think it's October 6 since this is the day I called the hotline and informed me that I got approved) to the card delivery date? Thanks!

Hello po, i initially applied for BDO shopmore card and got approved and the card was delivered.

After like 2 weeks, I received another BDO mastercard which I dont think I have applied for cause ung shopmore lang naman ung ina applyan ko. Di ko pa sya ina-activate. I also check my BDO app pero wla naman nka reflect itong 2nd card na na deliver. Some people here kasi nakita nila yung card nila sa BDO app kahit di pa activated.

So I was really doubtful kung e activate ko ung 2nd card.

What do you think po? Is it even legit ?

Hello, last tuesday Oct 6 may pumunta sa bahay and may iniaabot na demand letter from RGS hindi tinanggap ng kapatid ko.

For context, I have an OD sa CC kay UB for a year na this last day of October. Hindi ko pa mabayaran because may mga inuuna pa, 105+K siya na naging 140+ na ata bc of interest.

Question, magproceed po ba talaga si RGS sa small claims agad? I have plan of settling it naman pero baka next year pa pag nakaipon ipon na. Suggest naman po kayo kung ano need/dapat ko gawin. Thank you

Hi! I was offered a 2nd card just a month ago by RCBC and I haven’t received any updates regarding that. I called CS and they said na they can’t check it to their system not until I received a message from RCBC na processed ung card. Tanong ko lang. Mga ilang weeks or months before kayo nakareceive ng message and delivery ng 2nd card niyo? Thank you!
