Update on the old 1199R.

A few weeks back I posted a picture of a slightly ropey Ducati 1199R that i purchased. You all said to ditch the wings and the shell stickers, you were all correct. After and before photos where it absolutely does look better.

Left an unfortunate hole each side that has been plugged with a bolt, otherwise looks fine from 3 meters away.

Next is to find a magnesium clutch cover to replace the standard one someone has put on and give it a ruddy good clean for the weather to cool in a month and get some rides in.

[Question]Tudor Pelagos is too fragile for my daily use....what next?

This might sound odd, but my Tudor Pelagos has just proved to be too fragile. After 1.5 years of use on and off, it produced a grinding sound which the service center has said is from me causing "Serious impact"

I have pointed out that I sit at a desk all day but alas, they have claimed it is battered and bruised. It does get worn through everything and there are some dings, but at no point have i used this to cushion my landing from a fall or something.

Evidently, I need a tougher watch and the Pelagos is just too soft. I have a few other Tudors and a couple of Rolexes that I do baby so nothing formal needed, but I need a daily driver that can take a knock or two. I would prefer not to go the route of Garmin/Apple or G Shock (even though I own one). It would be good if it was reasonably premium. Whilst the Pelagos is away I have a Hamilton Field Khaki on but it doesnt feel particularly tough. Nice though.

Marathon GSAR offering look pretty sturdy, as do some of the Sinn watches. Anyone got any ideas?

Photo is the day I brought it, it now lives on a Grey NATO. Brilliant watch, unfortunately unfit for my purpose.

Edit: Many thanks for all the replies, it seems a Quartz watch from Sinn, CWC or Marathon are the most advised. Just to add, I am calling a pelagos "fragile" and "soft" with a touch of sarcasm because I am a bit disappointed that the service centre has refused the warranty when I am not exactly a member of Delta Force in my day to day life. I am sorry that upset one or two of you.
