Hi friends would love to take my elder mom to see fireworks. She can’t stand for too long so would be ideal to park and view from the car itself. I do have some camp chairs I could bring to sit outside. But am trying to avoid making her walk too much

Is the view of Great America fireworks pretty good from Mission college parking lot? I presume there are multiple lots so if any are better than the other let me know.

How early do I need to get there to park ?

Any other elder/mobility limited friendly spots to view fireworks? I am open to driving further if needed. Thank you in advance 🙏

Saw Prada, Loewe and YSL while out and about South coast day tour today. I didn’t feel confident to bring nice bags on this trip so settled for a backpack and my trusty Jansport bum bag that’s over 20 years old.

Saw some LV and Gucci yesterday while walking in Rejakavik and tons of nylon crescent bags, lulu slings, fjallraven slings /mini backpack

Good morning fellow handbag lovers! I wanted to share my review of the Coach empire 34 after 90 days of daily usage. I have found these useful when other's have shared so paying it forward and hoping this helps someone here.

Mine is the full grained leather version in the burnished Merlot. She is just as pretty in person as she is in photos. I was very weary of the stiff shoulder straps when it arrived and even considered returning it as it they were slipping off the shoulder. They do stay on little better once you put stuff inside. All my try on's were when it was empty. SO glad i kept her.

What I carry inside: my iphone 15 and sometimes my mom's iphone 12, card wallet, small pouch for cash and coins, small pouch for lip balm/lipstick/mini lotion, reading glasses in slim sleeve, key fob, mask, random reciepts and sometimes my airpods.Everything fits comfortably, since it is east west style things kinda spread out side ways if that makes sense. Since it is not deep i don't feel like i struggle to find stuff which is nice change.

Pros:

• Stylish yet functional for my daily carry
• Just the right size for me, not heavy but also not flimsy
• Merlot is great colorway if you want to take a break from black in my opinion.
• It's structured shape, i think the leather will soften over time but I suspect she won't be on the slouchy side. Let's see. I like that the silhouette is not too boxy since it is structured shape kinda balances out I feel.
• Zipper/hardware seems to be good quality, no concerns yet. Was able to zip/unzip with one hand.
• I am normally a crossbody/handsfree type so this is huge change for me to have shoulder strap only bag after many years.
• Thankful it has feet, and feel it is necessary feature on this style of bag (read more below on why).
• Head turner, I got lots of compliments when wearing her out in the short time i have owned.

Cons:

• Rolled + long handles can be a challenge in certain situations. Gym- doesn't fit in cubby/locker unless you contort the straps (aka smush it down) which i prefer not to. Doesn't stay on the back of chair sometimes, the rolled shape prob plays a role here as does stiffness. Doesn't fit in desk drawer or overhead cabinet either for reasons already stated. So it goes on floor thank goodness for feet.
• I think some hand lotion or something on my hands caused small stain, haven't been able to buff off may need to try conditioner or something, but haven't tried very hard to remove out of fear of damage. My own fault for not being careful not the fault of the purse obviously.
• The side belts can be loosened or undone to expand, i found it tad difficult to do and not sure I would undo it often.

Overall very happy especially since I got on sale, if I paid fulled price i might have been a little more peeved about straps situ. I tend to keep my bags for a very long time and always lean to more classic shapes. This one provides a little edge with the east/west and burnishing without being overly trendy. Next up in the rotation is Swing Zip. Will report back on her in 90 days or so!
