Any tips to make the lava look less bright? I like the results, but I feel like I am using too much orange/yellow. Trying to paint something like the second picture.
25M and I’ve lost around $40,000 USD. Honestly, I don’t know what to do.
I’ve already contacted Gamblers Anonymous where I live, and I’m waiting for them to send me the information so I can attend meetings. I recently had a very serious relapse.
I know that for many people, especially in the U.S., $40,000 might not seem like a huge amount, but I’m not from the US. To give you some perspective, that $40,000 represents everything I’ve managed to save over the last three years of hard work.
I feel awful. I don’t know what to do. Not just because of the money, I feel like I wasted those three years and all the opportunities that money could have given me in the future. I could have traveled, because I love to travel. I also like investing in stocks and other things. It just feels like I ruined my financial future.
Right now, I have a strong urge to chase my losses, and I’m scared of making things even worse.
What would you recommend? Any advice is welcome. If you have any book recommendations, I’d appreciate those too, although I know recovery is something that happens one step at a time (I can read in english, just suck at typing).
I’d also like to hear what you would do if you were in my position. I know many of you have experienced even bigger losses, so if possible, I’d appreciate it if you could give me advise if you were giving it to your younger self.
