1st SEM
CMB Lec
- might be the hardest subject I’ve ever encountered. I would say na it’s very similar to genetics, and if you have good foundation sa genetics then cmb may be easier for you. Hindi lang puro scantron ang long tests lalo na sa finals period. Memorize ung mga common na pathways, mga receptors involved, anong type of protein ung involved, how those receptors work. Tapos wag lang puro memorise dapat naiintindihan mo din ung nangyayari. CMB lec taught me to be intentional with the way I study and hindi ung basta basa lang ng ppt okay na. VERY BOOK HEAVY itong subj na to and what helped me the most was using AI to help me review. I upload the material then ask the AI questions based on the ppt. I would say I learned the most from CMB pero hehe ung grade ko dito was one of my lowest from major subs (or lowest talaga💀). Additionally, please wag niyo memahin yung review here since it’ll be your foundation na for animal physiology sa 2nd sem. You will thank yourself if pinursigi mo talaga ang subject na ito. I hated reviewing for this subject pero super rewarding if namaster mo talaga.
CMB Lab
- compared to lec mas chill siya and easier kasi more on pagturo lang talaga ng lab techniques and reagents used parang micro lab lang actually. Pero mas mababa ung lab ko kesa sa lec HAHAHAH and it’s because nagwhiff ako sa practical exam which is worth A LOT. Mabigat siya super so seryosohin niyo ung practical exam. Di naman sa mahirap ung exam, nadala lang ako ng kaba. Looking back it was really easy wag lang magpapadala sa kaba!!
Biophysics Lec
- SUPER DALI kahit imemorise mo lang formulas. Lessons were from shs inulit lang talaga. Yung exams naman hs level difficulty, it’s really easy basta alam niyo ung formulas. Sidenote: If you have plans on taking the NMAT sa 2nd sem 3rd year mo, seryosohin mo na biophysics lec because halos lahat ng physics topic sa nmat maituturo sa biophy.
Biophysics Lab
- daming experiments WAHAHAHA pero madali lang din like lec ayun memorise formulas lang talaga. I would say na galingan niyo sa written reports kasi nababaan ako sa grades ko kahit mataas naman ung exams ko+worksheets, nadali nga lang ng written report and oral report.
2nd SEM
Mygosh inalay ko talaga 2nd sem because I kinda prioritized the NMAT. I would say ito na pinakamahirap na sem na naranasan ko HAHAHHA probably because I had a lot on my plate (NMAT, thesis, OJT applications, acads) pero if masipag ka naman makakaya!! I opted to take the NMAT during this sem kasi ayoko siyang isabay sa 4th year 1st sem which I think will be thesis heavy.
DevBio Lec (PRELIMS-ANIMAL HALF)
- Really easy and basic lang yung concepts, parang throwback sa zoology + more in depth ng konti pero madali lang talaga siya aralin kasi yung topics here are general and usually natackle na ng past subjs from 1st-2nd year.
DevBio Lab (PRELIMS-ANIMAL HALF)
- Kung gano kadali yung lab ganun kahirap sa lec. Ano to histology? Most of what you would be doing is looking through microscopes tapos identifying tissues or kaya naman stages of development ng model organism. If want niyo ng group niyo mapadali paggawa sa worksheet, research muna kayo on what the tissue looks like, where it is found, sino mga katabi niya, yung shape niya. Don’t enter the lab na wala pa kayong prior knowledge sa mga titignan niyo sa slides.
Physio Lec (PRELIMS-PLANT HALF)
- Super dali din basta masipag mag-aral. Wala na ako masabi sa sub na to HAHAHHA. Yung mga may trauma diyan sa botany baka ito na magpapagaling sa trauma niyo
Physio Lab (PRELIMS-PLANT HALF)
- Parang botlab lang din na magdadala ng halaman sa lab pero imbis na structures more on functions. Ano nangyayari sa transpiration, photosynthesis etc. Kaya naman
DevBio Lec (FINALS-PLANT HALF)
- omg super hirap i am not qualified to give tips here. Baka sumuko na talaga utak ko nung finals kaya lagapak ako dito pero di siya mahirap like cmb na ang confusing, mahirap siya kasi wala na talaga akong pake magreview nun😆
