Game Won't Allow Enable Mods After Recent Update

After the update on June 30, my game will not allow enable mods. I have removed my mods, thinking that was the problem. It was not. I have restarted the game, EA launcher, and my computer multiple times and nothing has worked. Usually I let my game update automatically but after this Im thinking that should change.

Has anyone else had this problem?

P.S. Also one of my sims turned pitch black and I also thought that was from some mods clashing but I have found that the business and hobbies tattoo maker in CAS was causing that issue somehow.

So, I've been getting this email from June 10, 2025 to May 19, 2026 (typically 1-2 times a month). I live in Southern USA and I have just noticed this email today. I told my mom about it and she told me to click the link and apply (I have not.). The email itself follows the same format as the transcript below, but the people sending me the email changes and they're all women. At first it was a robot but then different women under the same work email sent this. I think this is a scam because all the emails say that I'm on a waiting list and they dont hold space forever, but clearly they do have space since they've sent this for almost a whole year. I dont recognize the website on the email as something i would apply to and the location listed on the email just sends me to a digital media company in Florida.

Also reddit is telling me to post the website, so I put that in the title like it asked me to.
