Did not enjoy the royal scam as much as previous albums

I'm a new Steely Dan fan. In a week and some days, I've fallen in love with the discography. Started with Can't Buy a Thrill, went to Aja, and continued chronologically through CTE, Pretzel Logic and Katy Lied, and now that I'm at The Royal Scam, I didn't find it as musically engaging as previous albums, obviously the standout track is 'Kid Charlemagne', and I enjoyed other songs like 'The Fez', 'Don't Take Me Alive' and 'Haitian Divorce' but again none of these to me were as sonically revealing as songs from the previous albums like 'Rose Darling', 'Bad Sneakers', 'Parker's Band' and I could go on. Anyone else feel this way?

What more could I do for my scrambled eggs

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • Salt & Pepper
  • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 Small Crushed Dried Chilli
  • 1 Cheese Slice
  • 1 tbsp Butter

Recipe

  • Start with mixing salt and pepper into your eggs
  • In a pan, start with melting the butter, add the ginger garlic paste, the dried chilli, and the cheese slice finally when the gingery aroma is gone, mix until it becomes a slurry / sauce kinda thing
  • Add the eggs to the pan, routine scrambled eggs execution then
  • Top with dehydrated fried onions and/or coriander

I like this but I feel like I'm doing something wrong with the crushed chilli or I'm not able to get the flavour out of it, any ideas?
