Im ambitious, but I fear failure more than anything.

Im an incoming college student. And my dream is to commission as an officer in the military after finishing AFROTC. School hasn't even started yet, and my ambition to succeed is so great. But I am much more afraid, of what I should do If I fail going down that past. I hear how some people are excited to go to college to party, socialize, and just get drunk and do bs. as much as I want to be doing those things, Im so scared for my future, that it sounds like complete bullshit about the fact that people are so careless, and carefree about their future. no disrespect to them, but I haven't been able to sleep these few days. Any tips to ease my mind, or just in general, in order to succeed in life, what should I value. Thanks

AFROTC and commissioning as an officer.

currently a incoming freshman at college, already in the process of AFROTC, and hopefully in the future ill be able to commission as an officer. In the future I want to value family life, but considering everything I've read so far, it sounds quite rigorous to achieve that. Any information I should know ahead of time. thanks
