Any bars/pubs in town that have a friendly crowd on the weekends? Somewhere i wouldn't feel like a total tool going alone as im new to town. What about Karaoke? Im not a singer, but watching people sing can be pretty fun/hilarious :) Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Bonus points if you wanna meet me there...ill buy the first round!
So a bit of background, im a Chef. Have been for many years, recently moved into and Administrative role at the Mine i work at. We feed 1200 people a day, twice a day. The pay is good, but im bored. I've stopped learning and for me thats not good.
When im bored, I overthink..i need to constantly be challenging myself, learning...im not comfortable just earning a cheque if im bored. I always wanted to learn a new trade, but im worried 46 is too late. Was thinking welding, framing or plumbing. Has anyone transitioned out of their career late in life to pursue something like this? Is it realistic?
I live in Northern Ontario, and am not even sure where to start or if i should?

So im a 45 year old, recently had to do the graduated licensing program again because my license expired while i was living out of the country. I completed the driving training course and got auto insurance with TD. After talking with some friends, they say my rate ($539 a month) is outrageous. Im financing a 2021 GMC Terrain. I just got another quote from another insurance company and the quote is essentially the same. Am i doomed to pay this crazy rate until I have more driving experience? Shoul i just keep messaging companies? Or will they all be saying the same thing?

I had forgotten 2016/2017 for years...i just filed them 3 weeks ago through an tax accountant. They have been sitting at received for 3 weeks. The accountant filled them electronically and i have direct deposit set up...will i be waiting months for these? Im not desperately needing them but curious.
So my audio isn't working, the infotainment system is updated, as is my phone app. The infotainment system is saying that my music is being played however nothing comes out of the speakers. It doesn't even make noise for the turn signals. I had the fuses checked and they were fine. Has anyone had similar issues with their Terrain and if so was there a fix?
