free tool that fixes subtitle lines elevenlabs breaks, plus srt cleanup

if you use elevenlabs for voiceover, you've probably hit this: it splits your subtitle lines wrong to fit its own limits, so the srt comes back chopped up differently than you meant. then there's the usual mess too, stray double periods, broken timing, lines that don't wrap right.

i built a free tool to fix it. paste your intended lines + the srt elevenlabs gave you, it repairs the broken blocks back to how you meant them, timestamps stay intact. also cleans up the final srt , periods, timing, re-wraps lines to fit properly.

runs in your browser, nothing uploaded, no

Built a free tool that cut my subtitle time ~60%... sharing for anyone scaling faceless videos

if you make faceless videos at any kind of volume you already know the subtitle step secretly eats so much time. elevenlabs re-splits your lines to fit its character limit, the srt comes out messy, and you're fixing the same stuff every single video. when you're pushing content out regularly it really adds up.

so i got annoyed and built some small tools to kill that busywork in my own pipeline. it's basically 3 things in one page:

  1. splits your script into clean lines before it goes to elevenlabs for the voiceover
  2. fixes the subtitle blocks elevenlabs breaks up wrong. you paste your intended lines plus the srt and it stitches them back the way you actually meant, timestamps stay intact
  3. cleans up the final srt (the weird double periods, timing, orphaned words)

it cut my own subtitle time by like 60% which is a big deal when you're doing this at volume. i put it online for free, no signup, nothing to install, runs fully in your browser so nothing gets uploaded anywhere.

sharing in case it saves someone else the hours. would love feedback, especially on the elevenlabs repair part since that's the piece i built for this exact workflow.

Subtitles were the most tedious part of my edits, so I built free tools to kill the busywork

Subtitles were easily the most tedious part of my video workflow... the endless moving text around, fixing broken line breaks, cleaning up messy SRT files. On some videos it was eating close to two hours, and it drove me up the wall.

So I built tools to kill the busywork in my own process. It ended up being three small things in one page:

— splits a script into clean, evenly-sized lines before it goes to voiceover
— repairs subtitle blocks that get re-split wrong (I use ElevenLabs for VO, and it chops my lines to fit its own limits... this stitches them back to how I intended, timestamps intact)
— cleans up the final SRT: stray/doubled periods, broken timing, orphaned words

It cut my own subtitle time by about 60%, so I put it online for anyone to use. Free, runs entirely in your browser (nothing gets uploaded), no signup.

Sharing in case it saves someone else the two hours. Would love feedback on what's missing or what would fit your workflow better.

Got tired of ElevenLabs breaking my subtitle lines, so I built a free tool that fixes it

If you export SRTs from ElevenLabs you've probably hit this: you write your lines the way you want them broken, and ElevenLabs re-splits them to fit its character limit... so every block comes back chopped differently than you intended. For me that meant sitting there after every video, hunting down each broken line and stitching it back by hand. It was eating close to two hours a video.

So I got fed up and built a tool to fix my own workflow. It turned into three small things in one page:

— splits my script into clean lines before it goes to ElevenLabs for voiceover
— repairs the subtitle breaks after: you paste your intended lines + the ElevenLabs SRT, and it merges the over-split blocks back to what you meant, keeping the real timestamps
— cleans up the final SRT (stray periods, timing, orphaned words)

It ended up cutting my own subtitle time by about 60%, so I deployed it so anyone else can use it. It's completely free, runs entirely in your browser (nothing gets uploaded anywhere*,* your files never leave your machine), no signup.

Sharing in case it saves someone else the two hours. Would genuinely love feedback, especially on the repair tool, since that's the ElevenLabs-specific one. What's annoying, what's missing, what would make it actually fit your flow.
