So i've been wanting to make short videos for instagram reels for a while now. nothing crazy, just clean cuts, some text overlays, maybe basic transitions. i downloaded capcut but honestly i have no idea where to start and the interface is a little confusing at first.

i actually found a course focused on reels editing specifically, thinking about going through it to get a proper foundation instead of just guessing my way through everything. it's more for people who want to post consistently and actually understand what they're doing, which is where i want to be.

but before i commit to a full course i wanted to ask here too, does anyone have quick capcut tips that helped them when they were just starting? like anything that made the learning curve easier? would really appreciate any advice from people who actually use it.

Everything was working perfectly, but suddenly, in this one specific project, I can no longer click and drag the edges of my images to extend them to match my audio tracks.

How do I break this lock without having to recreate the entire project from scratch?

Hey! Whenever I try to open a 1 minute project (sort of template for my work) Capcut gets stuck loading in the Interface is being loaded part. Ive tried every solution I could find, even installing older versions. The task manager shows that the process stops taking any ressources after a while. The loading animation still keeps running but nothing is ever loading. What can I do? I need to open it for my work. Thanks for any help.

Just one simple question. How do I make the Image/text come in smooth like this when I talk? I’m new to editing so I really wanna know how I do this. If someone could tell me I Would really appreciate it.

Hey, I'm building an app that edits short-form videos end to end. You drop your raw footage and it handles the whole montage automatically — the cuts, the captions, b-roll, pacing, transitions, all of it. Basically raw clip in, finished short out.

Right now I'm dialing in the transitions part and it's the thing I keep second-guessing.

There are a ton of transitions out there and most of them look kinda cheap to me. I don't want the app throwing 50 mediocre ones around. I'd rather it only pull from a small set of killer transitions that actually make a cut hit.

So for the editors here:
what are the transitions you actually reach for on Reels/TikTok/Shorts? The ones that make an edit feel pro instead of amateur. And which ones instantly scream "beginner" the second they show up?

Why does the CapCut space invite link keep saying it’s expired, even though it isn’t? We have tried joining via email and by copying and pasting, but we are unable to access the space. What could be causing this issue, and what is the solution?

(we have different countries,is that an issue)

Capcut on my Android has been giving me a message today that the current version is not secure and I should update the app but the Play Store has no updates... I've tried clearing cache etc. But I don't want to risk uninstalling abd losing all my projects...

Anyone with the same issue?

Some basic animations like "slide left/right" don't interfere with the background image. But others do. This has happened with multiple and seperate different projects, and I cannot finish any of them until this is resolved.
