Why are these 2 models the same but painted very differently?

Not my photos but I was browsing eBay and found these 2. They’re the same model but painted very differently and was curious if there was a certain reason 🙂

Horseland vibes

Does anyone else remember Horseland? I know I already posted about this but here are some better examples with the main cast.

Anyone else notice this?

Idk I may be the only one but I was looking at the horse club characters and these 2 especially with how they’re introduced with their horses is giving me Horseland vibes (idk if anyone on here remembers that show)

My newest marketplace find

I scored these off of marketplace. The seller said they were pretty valuable. Just curious if anyone has seen these 2 before

Is it wrong to customise an older model while fixing it up?

I bought a rugged lark model in rough condition at a garage sale and I remade him a tail and decided to give him additional markings just to give him a new life. I’m not selling him or ever plan to.

I need suggestions

I don’t know if there’s any other writers in this subreddit but thought I’d ask anyway, if you were using a horse in a book what model would you use for a reference? Traditional, Classic, or stablemate?

Website purchases

I’m newish to collecting and was curious if it’s worth buying from the website? I’ve never purchased from the website and was curious if it was something recommended and wanted others opinions before I did 😁 thanks in advance

I’m surprised Breyer never made any models for the Clydesdales

I’m kinda surprised Breyer never released any limited edition models based on the Budweiser Clydesdales like as a Christmas special edition
