Fear interaction

I don't use many characters with fear, and only started playing Hwei this month, but it has happened to me many times. I use EQ on a target and instead of running away they run towards me, slowed, but still towards me. This is really frustrating because in many cases those few steps can change the outcome of a fight and make a difference between enemies getting in range or not.

It is not the case for this clip tho, this was just an overstay to chase a dumb kill. Still it happened today, so it is the most recent example I could find.

Why does this happen? Is it a bug or is this intended behaviour? Does it happen consistently? Is it because Xin was animation locked in his W?

Imperial Mandate

Hi everybody, I've been enjoying quite a bit of Hwei lately and I've been consistently rocking up some pretty nasty damage, enough to be named "The Austrian Painter" by some of my teammates and enemies.

One thing I've noticed is that nobody seems to play Mandate on him, I find it quite strong as second item mainly for 3 reasons: 1- Mana regen means you can be way more oppressive in lane and shove without caring too much about mana even though you're one of the mana hungriest champ in the early game.

2- Haste is pretty good to spike early because more passive procs will deal more dmg than having more AP (just in the early tho, you still need AP to scale)

3- The pasisve from mandate give you (AND YOUR TEAMMATES) more dmg after CC spells. Since you usually always use E in your combos to proc passive this means you consistently proc it on enemies, and you also have way lower cd on E so you can rotate fatser to it and use it to peel yourself too if needed.

Vs vary tanky comps I've had it deal even more dmg than BFT and Liandry. Idk, seems sleeper op to me. Try it out and let me know. Wouldn't build it every game tho.

Devious builds ideas

Hi there, you probably don't know me since it's my 1st time posting on this sub. I'm a mid/adc main who loves to theorycraft random builds and discuss them.

I used to play a lot of aphelios back in the day when he was released but then shifted to mid so I completely abandoned your boy (sorry about that).

Recently I was wandering the wiki in order for some inspiration on my next abomination and noticed that Phel actually has ridiculous AP scalings on all of his abilities (we're talking 70-100%). For a champ crearly designed to scale with crit this sounds like shouldn't be the case.

Back when I played him you needed 5 crit items to reach 100% crit, so having AP in your build actually wasn't possible without completely trolling. But now the item system is waaaaay different.

So I was thinking has anyone tried to take advantage of those scaling by building like Statik Shiv 1st? Or maybe something like Gunblade late game as a lifesteal option? Is this completely insane or could maybe work?
