7 yr old Ragdoll Cat - Not sure how picky pet insurance companies are about preexisting conditions

I have some family that recently spent roughly around $40K for their dog that had many medical procedures. They are well off, so they can recover from that. However, it made me think about getting pet insurance for my cat. She is 7 years old and her breed is Ragdoll. She had some minor health issues in the past. One case of conjunctivitis, and another where she had a bad case of diarrhea but that was due to an allergic reaction and since then we have made sure it wouldn't happen again.

Her last check up was in August 2025 where she had a full blood panel. She is a very healthy cat. From my understanding before getting pet insurance you should get a comprehensive wellness exam done, correct? After reading a lot of people's experiences, they are very nit picky on what is considered a preexisting condition... so I'm not sure if those two cases when she was young would be considered a preexisting condition.

Anyway, should I even bother getting pet insurance since she had those minor health issues in the past? I'm worried I'll pay a chunk of money each month just for them to say no to covering things in the future because it's related to diarrhea or her eyes 😞

my cat eats the same things everyday: friskies lil soups, weruva paw lickin chicken, and royal canin sensitive stomach kibbles.

She loves her soups and brown rocks, and she used to love her chicken but for months now it seems, she doesn't eat much of it. So I've been kind of experimenting with stuff, like adding Choolip milk and freeze dried quail egg to her chicken. She licks up the milk and eats the egg, but leaves most of the chicken behind. I see it as: she's getting bored.

So I've been kind of experimental with buying all sorts of brands, and even trying different meat. It's very clear she just likes chicken haha. But when she does try different foods, she throws it up maybe 15-30 min later. I don't know if it's because it didn't agree with her stomach, or if it's because the sudden change in food made her not feel good. So it makes me nervous to have her try new things! she has a sensitive tummy.

Hi! I’m on the progestin only pill (POP) and I’m just taking the generic brand, Meleya, which is norenthidrone.

I take my pill at 1:15 pm everyday, sometimes 1:30ish. On Saturday, I was meeting with a new friend of mine for lunch and I forgot my pill packet at home. I unfortunately didn’t get home until around 4:30ish, which is when I took my pill. I know there’s a 3-hr time window so thats clearly over 3 hours. I can’t remember if I had unprotected sex on Thursday or Friday. I know to not have unprotected sex for 2 days (I’ve abstained from sex entirely since my missed pill) after missing the time window. But I’m concerned since I had unprotected sex a day or two before the missed pill.

I should have taken plan-B, I’m upset with myself for that. I don’t get periods anymore, so I take frequent pregnancy tests. Should I wait 1 week to take a pregnancy test, or should I wait 2 weeks? Or both? Lol
