Anyone else think it's weird to see the name 'Byzantine' in this game?

Anyone else think it's weird to see the name 'Byzantine' in this game?

I played the demo several months ago and liked it enough to buy it.

One thing that stands out to me is the choice of naming things after the eastern roman empire. The game uses 'Byzantine'. It's just weird and out of place to me.

I would expect to see this for games like Age of Empires or Civilization, but not a fantasy like HoMM.

Anyone else share this sentiment? Or am I crazy? (I'm probably crazy)

Narrator: They were crazy.

Edit: I really like these comments, guys. Some replies broke the word choice/usage down and had examples.

Very cool to see.

Canada's Stop Killing Games

There has been great progress in the consumer movement 'Stop Killing Games' in Europe, UK, and more recently, the US. (Plus some other countries)

Is there progress for this initiative in Canada or maybe information about it regarding Canada?

I couldn't really find much other than this link.

Does anyone know what other sources there are? Or maybe more promising info?
