Notion is the absolute best! Notion is the absolute worst!

I have been using Notion personally for six years. Up until this year, my whole life was there: writing, task management, personal inventories, finances, etc. I was happy and loved building new structures (maybe too much). But the world is changing, and Notion is changing, and I'm not sure I can morally use it anymore. At the same time, I'm struggling to find an alternative that achieves what I want. I've been working with Obsidian, Sunsama, and Day One, and I tried Anytype. I need something: 1. Secure/local/private and 2. Generative AI-free. Notion has abandoned the individual user for the corporate customer. Not surprising, but I grieve for what it once was. I'm stuck: I don't know what to do. Anyone else?

Is it possible to have Journal auto import photos in Apple photos from the day/week?

I want to journal, but have a hard time keeping motivated. I'd love to open up Journal to see recent photos, which would prompt me to write about what was happening in the photos. But having to manually import them is just enough friction to keep me from doing it. Is there a way to achieve this? Thank you.

Struggling with Importer with Notion

I'm trying to import a page with some reasonably small databases attached to it and a few other pages from Notion. I am going through this process here: https://obsidian.md/help/import/notion but when I get to step 7 under Import ("click Load") it only loads a very small subset of what I'm trying to import. Do I need to wait or what am I doing wrong? Thanks!

Proton Calendar: How to fix wasted space issues

I'm new to Proton. With Calendar, is there a way to collapse the left sidebar? Also, is there a way to set the week view to not have all 24 hours displayed? My midnight-7am is just a lot of wasted space right now. Thanks!

Templates that update across Obsidian bases and files.

Hi! I'm brand new to Obsidian, fresh from Notion. I'm trying to work with templates (have downloaded templater) and have the properties for the notes I've duplicated update when I update the template and the base for that set of notes. Is any of this possible? Is the best practice to update the base for all the notes? I should note that I'm working with properties at the moment. Also, is there a way to hide the properties at the top of the note? And please, I'm coming from Notion and this is a whole new world for me with languages I am yet to understand. Thanks!
