Finally found a Bengal proof water fountain — the snap clip makes all the difference
We have two very active Bengal cats, and one of the biggest problems we’ve had with cat water fountains is that most of them have an open/top lid design. Our cats quickly figured out how to lift the lid with their teeth, remove it, and play with the water inside. That usually ended with water spilled everywhere.
Over the past weekend, we bought this oneisall stainless steel water fountain from Amazon, and so far it has been the best design we’ve tried for our Bengals.
The biggest win is the snap clip/locking lid design. The top actually stays secured in place, so our cats can’t pull it off like they did with the other fountains. That one feature alone makes it worth it for us because it stops them from turning the fountain into a toy and making a mess.
A few things I like so far:
- The lid locks in place and feels much more secure than the open-lid fountains we used before.
- The stainless steel design feels cleaner and sturdier.
- The water flow is good and keeps the cats interested in drinking.
- It works well for active, curious cats who like to mess with everything.
For Bengal owners specifically, I think this is a great option. We’ve tried several fountains before, but this is the first one that actually feels like it was designed with mischievous cats in mind. So far, it has worked really well for our two pets, and I wanted to share in case other Bengal owners are dealing with the same water-spilling issue.
Overall: Highly recommend for active Bengals or any cat that likes to lift lids, splash water, or turn their fountain into a toy.
