My Bengal likes me to rest my arm on her and tickle her neck…

This is normal for a cat that we have made a baby, right?

Meet Jax

2 weeks ago I adopted this little guy and named him Jax. He settled in very quickly and loves to sleep on my stomach. I bought him a million toys, a cat wheel, and a 5 foot tall cat tree, but he only plays with a plastic deodorant cap that he found in the trash. I’m so happy that I finally got a Bengal🥹

Adoption

Hi everyone,

My partner and I decided to adopt a male bengal kitten but I'm not sure whether it's a good idea.

We already have a spayed female Ragdoll and we live in a small studio flat.

Since our space is small and we prefer them to be indoor, is it a good idea to adopt a bengal?

My Sweet Lil Melon Man 🍉

Rescued this not-so-little guy last week. His name is Marmes and he looks like a watermelon. He is a whopping 18 pounds because he was kept in a cage and free fed out of a dog bowl (we have him on a diet much to his dismay). He is the sweetest man in the world, he loves cuddles and catnip.

I want to adopt a Bengal. Tell me everything I need to know!

Hey guys! My family and I are planning to adopt a cat soon, and we would love to adopt a Bengal. To start, I would like to add that we're first-time owners. My grandmother and my mom grew up in Jamaica with little experience with cats, and I volunteer for a cat rescue every Friday. So, I have the most experience with cats in my family.

I understand that Bengals are high-energy and intelligent. We were actually planning on adopting a dog, specifically a poodle, before settling on a cat. Poodles are also high-energy and intelligent, so I always planned to spend time making sure my animal is not only physically satisfied, but mentally satisfied as well!

I am also aware that they are vocal and affectionate. I think if I was a cat, I'd be a Bengal. My mom will have to deal with a cat version of me LOL.

Two more things:

- We live in an apartment.

- The cat rescue I volunteer with has plenty of Bengals available for adoption, so we will not be going to a breeder.

I just want to know if I'm up for the challenge of a Bengal or if we should settle on another breed of cat.

Edit: I do not appreciate the amount of downvotes I am getting. I have come here to learn and make a decision that will be best for me and my future cat.

Does anyone else’s Bengal try to imitate them?

I’ve been telling people for ages that Ponyo always tries to copy me when I sneeze, but I’ve never managed to capture any proof until now.
Grabbed my phone mid-sneezing fit.

Ponyo acknowledges that this isn’t his best work, I caught him mid-cat nap.
But he hopes you can still appreciate his effort.

Wherever possible, he tries his best to be a copyCAT…See what I did there? Yeah, I’ll stop. 🤧
(Also, I promise I didn’t sneeze on him)

Intelligence?!?

So my family and I got a bengal last november, and JESUS CHRIST!!! I knew they were smart cats. But this guy is ridiculous. He has learned how to use the toilet let a human without any of us training him.. just through observation. He also somehow learned how to climb up into the ceiling and somehow gets between the floors. Is anyone elses bengal like this!?
