Carbon ring and phantom defense ammo getting dirtier?

TLDR, basically the title, phantom defense subs seem to be getting dirtier and now I have a carbon ring starting to form?

Took my rifle out this morning and shot a mix of 200gr and 220gr phantom defense subs. Had this gun set up with an H2 and carbine spring and hadn't had any issues with this setup until today.

Today started with the 200gr as I had 2 bags left and just recieved 800 220gr subs as those seemed to run better for me in the past. First mag no hold open. Tried 220s and seemed fine, okay maybe it's the 200gr. Shot some more 200gr and held open some and others didn't. From there started having a bunch of failure to feeds and had to mortar it to get a stuck round out.

Swapped back to 220s and cycled fine but had some issues holding open on a few mags. Groups seemed to be opening up and called it a day. I'm no precision shooter, but was worried of a potential baffle strike. Cap and baffles looked good I just suck lol.

Got home and started to clean it. It's the dirtiest this gun has gotten and only in about 100 rounds this morning. Explains the jams and issues I was experiencing. Looked down the barrel and saw a ring building up at the chamber just before the rifling. From what I have read this can lead to poor cycling, accuracy, and more. Bore snake didn't seem to make a dent in this so time to get a cleaning rod and go at it.

Just wanted to see if others have noticed this with the phantom subs recently? While frustrating at least I know my rifle needs some adjustment to ensure reliable cycling (trying an H1 buffer next time).

Also what diameter cleaning rod are you all using? I am only seeing 6mm options. I have a 5mm for my 556 and 22s but want to get the proper size for this.

Upcoming laws and information

I see all these posts and comments on here about the proposed restrictions coming in the next legislative session. I don't support any of the restrictions to our rights and have not and will not vote for those pushing this agenda. But I have always wondered where this information come from?

I bring this up because last summer and fall posts were shared on here regarding what was to come with such confidence it was basically guaranteed. Then come the time of the session I rarely saw anything shared in the off months. Am I living under a rock and oblivious to some obvious sources of information? That could be the case and my fault for not being more involved. Again I don't support this or the dems who push this BS but genuinely curious where to find more information on what's to come besides our own reasoning.

Cylinder hard to turn when open?

I am still new to revolvers as I got my 686 about 6 months ago. Its my first revolver and has been a blast to shoot and learn. I have about 600 rounds through it and have cleaned it after each range day (50-100 rounds).

Lately I have noticed when I take it out of the safe and I go to turn the cylinder by hand there's some resistance from what feels like friction, nothing mechanically stopping it or anything like that. Having it locked into the frame and firing it all functions as it should from what I can tell.

I had been oiling the ejection rod per some videos I have watched. My basement where my safe is can get cold and I am wondering if that could be causing the sluggish turning? Its not exceptionally cold but after a few rotations and dry fires it turns like it did when I bought it.

Appreciate any guidance you all can share!

Plan b mount cleaning

Just curious how often everyone removes their suppressors and cleans their QD mounts (I have rearden plan b)? I find I typically take the can off after each trip whether its 30 rounds or 300 and clean the prongs, threads, and tapers.

Is this over doing it?

Should I try supers?

TLDR: gun is set up for subs and shooting <100 yards 99% of the time. Is it worth trying supers?

I typically shoot subs at an indoor range by my house up to 25 yards. Finally have it setup and running well with my optic zeroed at 25 yards. Setup is geared towards home defense.

Going to an outdoor range next week with some friends and was going to try the subs out to 100 yards. However, the range can accommodate up to 200 yards and I am interested in trying some supersonic ammo for this.

I know the zero may be way off and ill need to look at ballistic calculators as I don't intend to rezero my optic. I know they'll be gassy and can adjust my AGB (carbine spring with H2 fully open for subs). With these considerations in mind, is it worth the hassle of trying supers or just stick to the subs? I am intrigued by the platforms ability to run both and want to try it, but knowing its just a one off I'm second guessing.

Ammo from ammo-x?

Just curious if anyone has purchased or used ammo from Ammo-x (https://ammunition-x.com/)?

I saw they had some reasonably priced subs as we'll as other cartridges I would be interested in at a decent price. I have been searching around but haven't found much about them.

Buffer system for subs

I have an 8.5 criterion core with a polo 30 and SA AGB. I have been shooting 200 and 220 subs from phantom defense and with the AGB at 24 clicks (6 in bleed off) and carbine buffer/spring I was getting LRBHO, but the recoil was a little punchy.

Tried a H2 and white springco today. Gun was very smooth shooting but no LRBHO. Im thinking of trying the H2 with the carbine spring or an H1 with the white. I know the white is supposed to be the same power as carbine but it felt stiffer. Ejection. In all configuration and gas setting between 2-3.

Just wanted to see what others have experienced? I would need to order the H1 which isn't a big deal, but curious if its worth it?

AMMO AFTER JULY HB25-1133

TLDR: Where to buy 300 blackout after July that's a decent price?

With the changes coming regarding ammo purchasing and delivery due to HB25-1133 I was curious of the best course of action to purchase ammo?

I specifically ask with 300 blackout in mind. I have been buying phantom defense reman as its a good price (~60cpr) shoots well and not too dirty. I saw on their IG today they may have issues shipping to CO come July.

Just wanted to see what stores or sites others recommend with this inconvenience coming? I know stores like murdochs and sportsmans carry some options but not nearly at such a good price as online.
