3 Weeks post Lowes. Its been great

Was an employee for 2 and a half years with basically all of it being in customer service. I had some crazy customers but I was blessed to be in some chill enough stores with decent coworkers. During my last 6 months I transferred to a newly opened store that was 5 minutes from my house but I guess this store underperformed pretty hard as hour cuts began nearly right away after opening. I asked for full time specifically during the transfer process and they said they’ll see what they could do but never got around to it. Hours were dwindling to the teens so I found another job and never looked back since. Shout out to the HR lady she was very nice and would always work on me with scheduling and any issues like callouts. But not gonna lie, seeing my first paycheck be what I used to make at Lowes in a month in a week and a half, I realized how complacent I was at Lowes. Stay vigilant my friends and I hope your situations get better or you find better work

World Cup Customers?

For anyone employees working in world cup hosting cities, have you treated foreign visitors? I initially thought hardware stores were not gonna be a place for them to visit but I was pleasantly surprised to not only have customers from places like Portugal to Saudi arabia and these customers were very polite. Some have even explained how they were visiting and how the US was nothing like how they expected and they are enjoying themselves here. Some native customers should take a page from their etiquette if I’m being honest 😅
