Alternative at Georgetown

Hi! I'm currently a high school student going into my senior year and Georgetown is one of my top choices. More specifically the School of Foreign Service. However, I'm a little concerned about the culture. I'm extremely into screamo, hardcore, emoviolence, metalcore and all those adjacent genres and scenes I have piercings, and dress in a more alternative way. I've heard Georgetown is very preppy. Would I have a hard time fitting in, finding people that share interests, and making friends as someone more alternative?

Books advocating for liberalism and capitalism

I'm not sure if this is the right subreddit but I've recently read a decent amount of Marxist and communist literature and have found it fascinating. However, I now want to look at the other side and read works advocating for liberalism and capitalism. What are some good books for that?

What democratic/market liberalization reforms did the student protesters push for in the 1989 student protests?

I saw a tik Tok today about the Tiananmen Square Protests and in it, it said that the protesters were actually pushing for a return to a more traditional maoist economic program. However, in my brief research I've seen that that's not true, and they were pushing for market liberalization. One thing I didn't see much of was the specific policies or actions they wanted the government to undertake.

Concealor, IPTW, Balmora, Holder, Zashed, loveletters, withpaperwings, writheinfear, Azshara, Contention, sitotidtoy, Blaire, Since My Beloved, humanalltoohuman, Houses We Die In, new PTW album, and two new Converge albums. Hell almost every local HxC bill has some kind of core band on it. Are we in a new golden age?
