Sudden thin patch of hair

I am 33 and have never had issues with thinning hair with PCOS. In fact, my hormones have always been textbook perfect with the only concern maybe being that estrogen was a little on the low side. Despite this, I do still get some back acne.

I have a medium/thick amount of ultrafine hairs and it is thinner density through the temples. I think this is totally normal and I try not to worry about it too much. I had my hair done about 8 weeks ago and it looked normal. This week I noticed my right temple looked pretty sparse. I do get insecure about the sparseness through the temples sometimes especially when the baby hairs just won’t cooperate but reminded myself it’s normal and moved on.

Today I got my hair done and my stylist pointed it out and confirmed it didn’t look like that last time and she can see very clearly that hair likely shed and isn’t coming back in. It’s definitely the start of a bald patch.

So here’s what I need to know. How can I fix this while TTC? I do think it’s possible this happened because my body may have just gone through too much all at once? I started Metformin and it reduced my appetite and gave me GI upset for a solid month. In an 8 week period I had to travel internationally twice and had a laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis. Maybe that’s just caused some stress in which the least tolerant follicles in my scalp couldn’t survive?

If anyone has advice or similar stories please share. Trying not to panic 🫠

Vows of a Mobster by Eva Winners

I just started {Vows of a Mobster by Eva Winners}. It’s narrated by Troy Duran as the MMC and I’d listen to him read the phone book. It has a murder mystery and spice so I’m happy.

It seems like maybe the author was setting up FMCs friends to have their own books. I googled that and found that maybe there’s a threesome between FMC, MMC, and MMC’s rival (and no spin off books from what I can tell) and its maybe in front of people? I don’t want to know about the murder mystery twist but I do want a little bit of context around the threesome and the exhibitionism.

I’m not really big on threesome or more than 2 people scenes. That said, I’m liking the book so far and there are other books that have aspects like that that aren’t like a sharing kink and more like plot driven. I’m not sure if that makes sense?

Endo + PCOS - what happened after your lap?

I (33) have PCOS. It’s pretty mild symptoms (irregular period/longer cycles, acne). End of last year a new doctor I was seeing said he suspected I had endometriosis. My only tangible symptom was days long ovulation pain and some pain with intercourse toward the end of the cycle. I guess the other big symptom is that after two years on unprotected sex and 8 medicated cycles with strong ovulation I had yet to see a single positive pregnancy test.

I had my lap 2 weeks ago and they excised “a lot” of stage three endometriosis and mentioned many of the spots were very deep.

My uterine lining is very thin and I have extremely light periods that are dark red to brown in color. It seems like maybe both conditions together have caused this? Maybe?

If you have both conditions, what changed after your lap? Did PCOS symptoms worsen or remain the same? Or get better? Did your periods change?
