How Strong Is Elfaria’s Physical Strength? Her Punch Against Zeo Is Insane

When Elfie trapped Zeo in El Ten: Myrdas Fridoliete, escaping from it apparently required either enough concentration/power to break through it or an even greater amount of force. At that moment, it seemed that neither Zeo nor Ellnor could muster enough power to escape.

But what I find even more fascinating is what Elfie did afterward.

Elfaria is generally portrayed as a mage who specializes in long-range combat. Like most conventional mages, she or mages tends to fight from a distance rather than engage in direct physical combat. Zeo is an obvious exception because he specifically learned close-combat techniques from the dwarves, while Lihanna also has her family's secret art. But Elfaria has never really been portrayed as a close-range fighter.

So how the hell was Elfie able to punch Zeo with her bare hand hard enough to shatter Myrdas Fridoliete itself which is kind of unbreakable?

That's the crazy part.

The iceberg was powerful enough that escaping it apparently required a considerable or greater amount of power. Yet Elfaria simply punched through it with her bare fist. The impact was strong enough to send Zeo flying an enormous distance, and he was left severely injured, with visible injuries extending from his head down through his chest and abdomen.

And as far as I remember, we haven't actually been shown a clearly established magic spell that simply boosts a mage's physical strength to this degree.

So where did that physical power come from?

Is Elfaria secretly using some kind of physical enhancement/reinforcement magic that hasn't been properly explained yet or she created some new spells for it?

Because that doesn't look like an ordinary punch.

If the ice required enormous power to break and Elfaria was able to destroy it with her bare fist, while simultaneously hitting Zeo hard enough to send him flying and severely injure him, then Elfaria's physical strength has to be ridiculously high.

What's even more interesting is that Zeo is specifically one of the characters known for close-combat ability, while Elfaria is primarily a long-range mage. Yet she was still capable of physically overpowering him in this situation.

Obviously, we shouldn't claim that Elfaria is confirmed to have a physical-strength enhancement spell unless the story explicitly says so. But the feat itself is undeniable.

It makes me wonder if Elfaria's magical power somehow enhances her physical abilities, or if she has developed some kind of reinforcement technique that we simply haven't been introduced to yet.

Because if Elfaria can casually throw a punch like THAT, then her close-range combat ability might be another completely unexplored aspect of her power.

Why did Elfie choose to punch Zeo rather than using a deadly attack?

When Elfie trapped zeo in El Ten : Myrdas Fridoliete , everything including Magic is freezed so its like zeo will be trapped in it for some time and to break this freezing trap zeo need an even greater power than it , so it will give Elfie more than enough time to land a deadly attack like El eleven or el twelve might be deadly offensive attack or prime move , As this zeo trapped and unable to move gave Elfie an biggest advantage to win this battle but what she did is punch him in the face with bare hands? why she choose to punch him? Did she done it to let release her frustration or anger on him?

How Powerful Is the Earth Princess Colette? A Clear Breakdown of Her Strength vs Elfaria

There has been a lot of misinformation and over-interpretation circulating about Colette Loire’s power level, especially after the release of the prequel novel Grimoire Acta 2: The Earth Princess and recent manga chapters. Some claim she is equal to (or even stronger than) Elfaria Albis Serfort, or that her magic sword with Will would surpass Albis Wis. This post aims to correct those claims using the novel, manga, and the author’s own statements, while remaining as neutral and factual as possible.

1. The Common Misreading of the Prequel

In The Recent Prequel, Will (who has watched Elfaria’s genius from close for years) notes that young Colette’s raw magical output seemed comparable to young Elfaria’s at around the same age (roughly 10 years old). Many readers take this single line and conclude “Colette = Elfaria in power.” That is incorrect.Raw magical power (魔力出力) is only one aspect of a mage’s overall strength. Other critical factors include:

  • Battle IQ and combat experience
  • Versatility and number of usable spells
  • Magical technique and refinement
  • Casting speed
  • Control and precision
  • Original spell creation
  • Synergy with allies or equipment

The profile of Aaron Masterias Oldking (Masterious Noah), the Light Emperor and strongest of the Magia Vender, explicitly states he possesses:

>greater destructive power than Zeo, greater intellect than Carriot, greater magic power than Ellonor, and greater magical technique than Elfaria — a living legend.

This official description shows that even among the Magia Vende, each member excels in different areas. Zeo specializes in destructive power, Ellonor in pure magical quantity, Elfaria in technique, etc. No single metric decides overall strength. When comparing 10-year-old Colette and 10-year-old Elfaria, the novel only places them on similar footing in raw output. In every other aspects , Elfaria no diff Colette as mentioned in same novel.

2. Young Elfaria’s Position and Later Growth

That same 10-year-old Elfaria was described as the weakest Magia Vender at the time of her appointment and could only hold against Cariott for about five minutes. Since then she has:

  • Defeated Ellonor (who has higher pure magical power than her)
  • Fought Zeo (the Praxis King) on equal footing despite disadvantages
  • Created her original twelve ice secrets (El Glass Fos / エル・グラス・フロース)
  • Become one of the top two Magia Vender (often considered tied with Zeo as second strongest)

Even while remaining unmotivated and lazy in daily life, her passive growth has been enormous. This is important context when comparing current versions of the two characters.

3. The Author’s Official Statement on Magic Swords

Author Fujino Omori posted the following on X (May 2026):

>純粋な出力勝負なら
コレットとの魔剣がワンチャン……(If it’s a pure output showdown, the magic sword with Colette might have a chance……)

This was a reply to a fan asking whether any magic sword has higher output than the one formed with Elfaria. Key points from the author’s related explanations:

  • There are some magic swords with higher pure output than Albis Wis.
  • However, Albis Wis remains the strongest Will can currently use because of maximum synergy and compatibility with Elfaria which exceeds infinity (described as “◎ exceeding Ω / synergy MAX”).
  • The strength of a magic sword = output + synergy/compatibility + Some non-mentioned aspects.

The way the author phrases it, especially with the playful “ワンチャン” (one-chance/slim chance) wording and the angel emoji, likely suggests they’re jokingly saying that if it were purely a raw-output showdown, Colette’s sword might have a chance. Based on the playful phrasing and emoji, it can interpret that chance as being roughly 3/10 to 4/10 at best. It doesn’t imply that Colette’s sword is equal or superior overall—just that, in a pure output comparison, the author is playfully giving it a small possibility of competing.

4. Why Colette’s Current Raw Output Is Likely Lower

For the past six years, a portion of Colette’s magical power—up to a certain threshold—has been continuously transferred externally to Will through the Blood Sealing Bracelet (封血のブレスレット). In other words, Colette has spent these years continuously having her excess magical power drained away rather than simply retaining and developing all of it within herself.

It is possible that 10-year-old Colette had roughly the same level of raw magical power as Elfaria, which may be the one and only aspect in which Colette could potentially match her. However, in the current timeline, Elfaria may have surpassed Colette even in raw magical power.

The reason is the difference in their development over these six years. Colette has had part of her magical power continuously transferred away through the bracelet, while Elfaria—despite being lazy, unmotivated, and not particularly dedicated to training—has continued to grow naturally and passively. We can see this progression from her being able to endure for only around five minutes against Carriot in the past, to eventually defeating Ellonor, who possesses greater magical power than Elfaria, and later fighting the King of Praxis, Zeo, on relatively equal footing.

And, if Colette and Elfaria currently possessed exactly the same level of raw magical power, then their respective swords, when wielded by Will, should theoretically have a similar level of potential in a pure-output showdown. In that scenario, there would be no obvious reason for one sword to have a fundamentally different chance purely because of raw magical power.

However, the author's wording is important here. The use of 「ワンチャン」 (wanchan), meaning something like “there’s a slim chance,” “there’s a small possibility,” or “maybe, just maybe,” combined with the playful 😇 emoji, makes the statement sound deliberately lighthearted rather than like a serious claim that Colette's sword is equal to Elfaria's.

So the implication could be that Colette's sword might have a chance if the comparison is restricted purely to raw magical output, but that chance is relatively small—perhaps around 3/10 to 4/10 at best. This also fits the possibility that while 10-year-old Colette may have been comparable to Elfaria in raw magical power, current Elfaria has naturally continued to grow over the intervening years while Colette has had a portion of her power continuously transferred away.

In that interpretation, the author's 「ワンチャン」 is not saying “Colette's sword is equal to Elfaria's” or “Colette's sword is superior.” Rather, it playfully suggests that Colette's sword still has a small possibility of competing in a pure-output ( Raw magical power inputing ) comparison, while Elfaria is likely ahead because she has outgrown Colette in raw magical power by the current timeline.

5. Why the Tower Never Scouted Colette as a Magia Vander Candidate

Some people argue that Colette was already as strong as a Magia Vander, but if that were truly the case, it raises an important question: why did the Tower never seriously scout or recruit her as a Magia Vander candidate when they were in desperate need of powerful candidates?

When Elfaria had not yet entered the picture, the situation was particularly favorable for Colette to be considered. The previous Albis Vina was already approaching the end of her life due to old age, meaning the Ice Faction was facing a serious succession problem. The faction needed a new Magia Vander, and Sarissa was ultimately considered as the internal candidate.

At the same time, Colette's existence and abilities were not some hidden secret. She had repeatedly lost control at the academy and gone on rampages, openly displaying extremely powerful large-scale Earth magic. She demonstrated this power without having Blood Sealing Bracelet. Academy personnel and Tower mages were therefore aware of her potential as watcher from tower continuously keep eye on acadmy students.

This is especially important because, as Carriot explained that they have to continuously prove themselves, and if someone fails to meet the necessary standard, another person can rise in their place. In other words, the position requires much more than simply having a massive amount of mana.

If Colette were truly Magia Vander-level overall, the Earth Faction would have had a strong reason to consider her, especially during a period when the Tower was actively concerned with securing powerful successors. Yet they did not make her their candidate. Instead, Sarissa became the candidate, while Colette was never seriously presented as someone being groomed for the Magia Vander position.

The contrast becomes even clearer when Elfaria appears. Once the Tower recognized Elfaria's extraordinary potential, the tower became extremely desperate to obtain her. They went as far as kidnapping her, beating her, and attempting to force her into becoming Magia Vander. This shows just how aggressively the Tower could pursue someone when they genuinely believed that person possessed the qualities necessary to become a Magia Vander.

Yet Colette, despite not hiding her power at all and even repeatedly going on destructive rampages, never received that same treatment as a potential Magia Vander candidate. The Tower's only notable interest in her was related more to using her as a test subject, rather than seriously considering her for the Magia Vander position—and, ultimately, Elfaria's actions helped save Colette from that fate.

This strongly suggests that Colette's enormous raw magical power was not enough by itself to make her Magia Vander-level. Even if her raw magical power at one point was comparable to Elfaria's, raw output is only one component of overall strength. A Magia Vander needs things such as control, versatility, technique, combat ability, consistency, reliability, and the ability to properly utilize that enormous magical power.

Colette's problem was that, despite possessing exceptional raw power, she had poor control and a much more limited and less refined spell repertoire. Her frequent loss of control actually demonstrates this weakness rather than proving that she was already a complete Magia Vander-level combatant.

This also explains why Elfaria's case was different. Elfaria was not merely powerful; despite her personality and lack of motivation, she continued to demonstrate extraordinary growth and eventually showed the ability to actually control, utilize, and apply her power at the level expected of a Magia Vander. That is why the Tower became desperate to obtain her, whereas Colette was never treated as the same kind of candidate.

6. Current Combat Capabilities

Colette — Known abilities

  • High-output Earth magic, primarily suited toward defense and large-scale constructs.
  • Loire Sique (ロワール・シーク) — the secret art of the Loire bloodline.
  • Giant rock-arm / golem-hand summoning.
  • In Chapter 51, Colette unlocks her first limiter and uses Grantine Ibratia, as shown in the manga panels.

However, the giant World Golem appears to be a phenomenon connected to the Loire bloodline and its relationship with the world itself, rather than simply being a normal personal spell that Colette can freely control at will. Therefore, we cannot say it's spell which Colette can use freely or not.

Colette's biggest advantage in a direct fight would be her enormous raw magical output. Removing the Blood Sealing Bracelet would theoretically allow her to put substantially more magical power into her attacks than she normally can.

The important limitation, however, is how that power is actually applied. Colette's demonstrated magic is heavily centered around Earth magic, which is primarily defensive, while her most powerful demonstrated physical constructs—such as the giant golem arms—require her attack to actually reach the opponent.

7. Hypothetical 1v1: Current Elfaria vs. Current Colette Without the Bracelet

Some argue that Colette could defeat Elfaria in a 1v1 if the Blood Sealing Bracelet were removed. However, even granting Colette her full unrestricted output, Elfaria still appears to have the overall advantage.

The first issue is that raw magical power does not automatically determine the winner. Colette may potentially possess enormous output, but Elfaria has repeatedly demonstrated that she can defeat opponents whose raw magical power is greater than her own. The clearest example is Ellonor, who possessed greater magical power than Elfaria, yet Elfaria was still able to defeat her.

Therefore, even if we hypothetically granted Colette greater raw magical power than Elfaria, that alone would not establish that Colette could defeat her.

In fact, based on the earlier points, Colette may not even have that raw-power advantage in the current timeline. If Elfaria has naturally continued growing for the past six years while Colette has continuously had a portion of her magical power transferred away through the Blood Sealing Bracelet, then current Elfaria may actually possess greater raw magical power as well.

More importantly, Elfaria has a much broader arsenal and significantly greater versatility.

Colette's giant golem-arm attacks are extremely powerful, but they fundamentally require her attack to reach the target physically. This creates a major problem against Elfaria because of her freezing techniques. Elfaria has demonstrated a freezing domain in which everything within its effective range—including magic itself—can be frozen, meaning that getting close to Elfaria is not necessarily an advantage for Colette. It can actually become a major liability.

Elfaria also has multiple ways of dealing with Colette's defensive Earth magic. For example, if Colette creates a large Earth wall—such as her roughly six-foot defensive barrier—Elfaria does not necessarily need to physically approach it. She can potentially destroy the barrier with her bullet-type ice magic, or create her own defensive ice structures such as Fraull to counter or bypass Colette's defenses.

And this is only considering a fraction of Elfaria's arsenal. She possesses:

  • Complete mastery of Ice and Water magic.
  • Illusion magic.
  • Exceptional casting speed.
  • The twelve original Ice Secrets (El Glass Fos).
  • Advanced and Prime-level techniques.
  • Extremely high technical ability and versatility.
  • A freezing domain capable of affecting both opponents and magic.
  • Proven combat experience against opponents with greater raw magical and destructive power.

Colette, meanwhile, has demonstrated tremendous destructive potential but a considerably narrower and less refined combat toolkit.

So even in the most favorable hypothetical for Colette—removing the bracelet and allowing her to use her full Power, or even temporarily assuming that her raw magical power exceeds Elfaria's—Elfaria still has a clear path to victory because her advantages in speed, technique, versatility, range, battlefield control, and experience allow her to overcome a raw-power disadvantage.

And if we instead use the earlier argument that current Elfaria has likely surpassed Colette in raw magical power as well, then the gap becomes even more pronounced.

Conclusion

A bracelet-less Colette should absolutely not be underestimated. Her unrestricted output could be dramatically higher than what she normally displays, and her Loire abilities and giant constructs give her genuine destructive potential.

However, “higher raw output” does not automatically mean “wins the 1v1.” Elfaria has already demonstrated that she can overcome opponents with greater magical power or greater advantages, while possessing a vastly broader and more sophisticated arsenal.

Therefore, based on the abilities currently shown, Current Elfaria should defeat Current Colette without the Blood Sealing Bracelet, with the difficulty plausibly ranging from no-diff to mid-diff, depending on how seriously Elfaria approaches the fight and how much of Colette's unrestricted power she is able to bring to bear.

The strongest argument for Colette is her raw output. The strongest argument for Elfaria is that she has repeatedly demonstrated that raw output alone is not enough to overcome her.

Colette Loire is an exceptional prodigy of the Loire bloodline (descendants of a former Magia Vende / Sage lineage). Without the bracelet she is easily one of the strongest students in the academy’s recent history and has clear future Magia Vende potential for the Earth Faction. She is not, however, on the same overall level as current Elfaria. The only metric in which young Colette was described as comparable was raw magical output. In every other category — and almost certainly in current pure output as well — Elfaria holds a clear big lead. Claims that Colette is equal to or stronger than Elfaria, or that her magic sword with Will surpasses Albis Wis, are not supported by the novel, the manga, or the author’s statements.Colette remains an extremely strong and important character. She simply should not be inflated beyond what the source material actually shows.

At the same time, it is important to remember that Will's companions have generally been receiving their own power-ups and developments: Lihanna gained the Amulet, Julius gained the ability to use Ars Weiss, Sion developed the ability to modify his Magical Fire Guardian, Colette has exceptional raw magical power, and Wignall may have further development connected to his Fantasy Magic. Colette should not be dismissed or treated as weak—she is clearly one of the most exceptional members of Will's group and may have tremendous future potential but it's unlikely that she will ever match or surpass elfaria as she is Wills one and only ultimate wand and key to unlock heaven together Will and as we traced down Colettes complete origin we get to know her true power but on other hand we don't know a single thing about Elfaria or volume of her true potential , she gained all those power which might be a tiny fraction of her actual potential which we will know when he get to know her origin and link with Will as she referred to be next potential mage queen. Colette is one of the potentially strongest character and a exceptional Earth linage prodigy but if we compare her to someone who is once in generation prodigy reached unbelievable milestones it's realistic she not gonna match that level but this doesn't mean Colette is an weak character , if we don't compare her to current magia vander, she's academy's one of the strongest student or even from there world.

About Colette’s Power Control

A common misconception is that Colette “cannot control her power.” This is not accurate. Colette can control her own earth magic and Loire Sique (ロワール・シーク) perfectly well. In the prequel novel we see her casually demonstrate high-output spells in class — creating massive earth barriers that completely destroy training golems — without any loss of control. She uses her magic precisely when she wants to. What she cannot control is the World Golem (Grantine Igrandia / Earth Mother Queen’s World Spell Birth – Grantine Ars Magna). This Golem is not Colette’s personal spell. It is an independent existence created 500 years ago by the Loire progenitor (under the order of Witch Queen Mercedes, and connected to the Earth Sage Ruha) as a ultimate defensive weapon against the Celestial Hosts. The spell was engraved into the Loire bloodline, so every female descendant becomes a potential vessel. When a Loire woman’s magical power reaches a certain threshold, the Golem treats her as a suitable core and tries to absorb her. Colette’s deep depression and negative emotions act as fuel that makes the Golem more aggressive and prone to rampaging. That is why the automatic giant rock arms appear and why large-scale incidents happen. The bracelet she wears is not a simple power-sealing bracelet that locks her magic inside her body. It is a magic-transfer / Blood Sealing Bracelet. It continuously drains her excess magical power to an external receiver (Will) so that her total magic never reaches the critical “vessel” threshold that would fully activate the World Golem. As long as the bracelet is working, the Golem cannot recognize her as a complete core. In short:

  • Colette controls her own magic without problem.
  • She cannot control the independent World Golem that was created long before she was born.
  • The bracelet prevents her power from reaching the level that summons/activates that Golem by transferring the excess elsewhere.

This distinction is clearly shown throughout Volume 2.

In Short, Colette can control her own magical power without any real problem. We see her walking around the academy normally and freely demonstrating high-level earth magic in class or training whenever she needs to. The issue only appears when strong negative emotions (such as when she is bullied by Mary and her group) fuel the World Golem. Those emotions cause the automatic giant rock arms and other manifestations of the Golem to go out of control. The World Golem is an independent existence that was created to use Loire women as vessels. The bracelet’s true purpose is to continuously transfer Colette’s excess magical power so that she never reaches the threshold the Golem recognizes as a suitable “core.” In that sense, the bracelet keeps the Golem from fully detecting or claiming her.If the World Golem itself were ever completely destroyed or rendered unable to appear, Colette would most likely be able to live without the bracelet and without the constant risk of rampages, because the core problem is not her personal lack of control — it is the ancient curse that treats her bloodline as fuel.

Why such drastic change

I have readed LN and Watched anime and in both they have perfect matching design but what's wrong with manga like in first glance its like seeing some different characters , And what's wrong with Kuze here , he is not Kuze.

Why there such big character design mismatch like even alya look very different from other sources and kuze is completely different person here , Why didn't they fix it?

Why Julius Can Use One of Elfaria’s Secret Arts (Ars Weiss) — and Why He Still Struggles So Hard

Julius is able to use Ars Weiss (White Art / 白の芸術), the First Spell of Elfaria’s original series of twelve ice spells (El Glace Frosse), for a very specific reason given by the author Fujino Ōmori. One of the magic circles Elfaria uses for Ars Weiss is slightly similar to Julius’s own familiar/default magic circle. Once he noticed that similarity, he researched the magic circles of the Twelve Ice Secret Arts on his own and reverse-engineered the spell through pure self-study.
That is why he can use only this one art, and even then only in an incomplete form — he has never been shown using the other eleven. During the Grand Magic Festival in their sixth and final year, we see just how incomplete it still is:

  • He can create a maximum of around 8 clones unassisted (Elfaria could already make 10+ at age 2).
  • He can properly control only about half of them by himself (3-4).
  • The clones are not autonomous; he has to actively control them and share senses with them.
  • He needs his underlings’ support magic just to keep the clones stable.
  • There are clear tells: ice crystals form under the clones’ feet, and the body temperature of an Ars Weiss clone is the exact opposite of the caster’s — things Will exploits immediately.

Julius is repeatedly called a prodigy and the most promising potential successor to Albis Vina (Elfaria’s Magia Vander position). He puts in serious effort and pride into mastering her magic. Yet even with all that effort, he still cannot stand on equal footing with what Elfaria did as a literal toddler. Later in the story he improves somewhat — better multi-tasking, using the clones for longer-incantation chaining, higher numbers in certain situations — but the limits remain clear. When he helps Will with training using only 2–3 clones, he ends up completely exhausted. The gap is still enormous. This comparison really highlights how ridiculous Elfaria’s talent is. Someone like Julius could realistically become a Magia Vander one day. Elfaria, however, is already operating on a level far above a normal Magia Vander… and she reached that height while being lazy, unmotivated, and still holding back a huge amount of unused potential. She never even particularly wanted the title. So yes — Julius managed something no one else has by noticing a similar magic circle and grinding the self-study. That alone makes him exceptional. But the story also make it very clear that even his best version of Ars Weiss is still a pale shadow of what a 2-year-old Elfaria could casually do. The gap between a prodigy ( Julius ) and once in generation prodigy ( elfaria ) is very huge just like how huge the gap between 1 million and 1 billion usually is.

So much doubt after chapter 67?

From the very start we always told Will is an lone sword in World of mages and any other swords are completely wiped out in great war and as finn there leader he Said that as he need to restart whole sword process as there is no sword left in world but then he encountered Will whom someone kept away from finn eyes and eventually finn find about will the only sword of World.

And now a new sword appeared as isn't finn should be awared if anyone left from sword clan and isn't finn the one who suggested to send will to samios as likely finn know about the existence of sword there and samios describe as dumping place for unworthy or defected ones so is theo or other are an defected sword or damaged sword which is why finn doesn't consider them as swords and that's why he said to restart whole sword producing process but he find out will.

As theo might be defected or damaged or underdeveloped sword but still he is swords and from him will can learn something useful that's why finn insist of sending will to samios and planning something to awake more power from will and elfie who is very sharp and genius likely understand finns intention that's why she wants go along with will so she can ensure his safety but as she cannot go and this can be serious matter about will so she need to do something as risky as bringing Rosty back to will just to go along with will and rosty is very alertive than ever from very start.

And now I have one important question like does this new sword can use Wis , limiter off

but as he doesn't said word like wis or fully charged like how will usually say so is his inner mechanism is different and why is his eyes like in that form isn't it should back to normal

And as the magic will used limiter off courage , i think only will can use it as claudron who digged so much info about swords, also she might know already as she and finn seems acquittance but she declared Wills magic as something new Which he created so i don't think anyone other can use limiter off or courage on rather they have there own mechanism to unleash there whole power.

What's your thoughts on this new chapter?

How do you feel about s2

Well i was waiting for season 2 of it for long time and now as it dropped , i genuinely very excited for it because light novel so far is great and i enjoyed reading it and also I'm not gonna say s2 was bad but it's just good with decent animation as story seemed so much rushed as in one episode we are at amanes home town then in next episode we are at their apartment then in next episode we are at summer festival then quickly follow up with Mahiru dad and then in flash school start , it's feel kind of disconnected like how fast it moving , they can better adapted it but they skipped so much light novel content and this season there are so many peak Anime airing simultaneously so our expectations bar is quite High too , so i will say a decent good season 2 which follow up of peakest s1

So they are already in relationship

So Elfie accusing Will of “cheating” means she already sees them as being in that kind of relationship, right? And the funniest part is that this isn’t even new—she was accusing him of cheating when they were FIVE!

And Will doesn’t even deny it. Instead, he basically goes, “I don’t cheat on you,” while telling her that she doesn’t even understand what cheating means. EXCUSE ME?! 😭

Does this man actually understand what “cheating” means? Does he understand romantic relationships at all?! Because apparently Will knows enough to insist that he would never cheat on Elfie, but is still does he genuinely know what cheating , romance actually means.

The Chapter 62 reunion really makes their dynamic even funnier—Elfie is treating their relationship like it’s already obvious, while Will is standing there being Will and later showing boldness. 💀💙

And then, disguised as an information letter, he literally sent Elfie a love letter saying, “Remember, my heart is always with you.” The “remember” makes it sound like he’s reminding her of a feeling that has been there for a long time, from the very beginning, while “always” makes it clear that this feeling isn’t temporary—it’s something he intends to continue carrying into the future. And “my heart is always with you” basically means, “Even when we’re apart, I still love you, and you’ll always have my heart.” 💙

Sometimes Will’s boldness toward Elfie genuinely shocks us 😭. We usually think of Will as the more reserved one compared to Elfie, and he can be so dense when it comes to romance. But then he suddenly becomes THIS bold—and the fact that he’s the one initiating it makes it even better. We’ve seen it in S1 Episode 2, the S2 finale, and now again in this chapter. Like, where does this confidence even come from?! 😭💙

Will may be dense, but apparently only until it comes to Elfie. Then suddenly he knows exactly what he wants. 💀💙

What was her actual magic?

Still so far we have seen many characters using some powerful magic but either that magic is they got from their bloodline or using their families secret art or manipulate, modify existing things from there origin like

Ellonor can use 9 secret art of elf queen

Colette can use ( maybe ) loire secret art and gratinas power spell

Lihana can use Owenzaus secret art which help her to deal with her shortcomings

Julius , Sion using one of main magic is summoning gaurdian of their attributes

Wignall use Elf fantasy magic

Will use swords clan power known as Wis

Above are some mentioned character who are using some powerful magic which they got from their bloodline or link to their origin and using either as it is or manipulating modifying with there own potential but

Elfie case are different as so far the only power she used are her own spells which she created herself like El Glace Frosse and Glacia last Albis but fun thing is she created all those spells while thinking of will as it's main core roam around will and to think Albis vinas top notch spells we know so far are created just From her childish desire to monopolise or gain his attention and one of those spells able to trap two one of the greatest Magia Vander which freezes everything including magic of trapped one's

So far elfaria main magic which we seen like Ars weiss or Myrdas Fridoliete and her other orignal spell are the spells which she created as an child and those spells help her to stand and fight mages who put there life towards becoming stronger on head on and in some cases par level like

Ars weiss : she created it when she is 2 year old and Julius who said to an prodigy whom multiple faction appreciate and gesture to scout and only Student so far which many time said to be an potential successor of magia vander so how strong and potential he has but he still doesn't able to control half the level ars weiss which elfie created as infant and out of childish desire not for fighting purpose

Myrdas Fridoliete : It's another Elfies spell which she created at very very young age out of her feelings for Will but this same spell helped her and trapped zeo and ellonor in it which freezes everything they have in including magic itself and to think this spell able to withstand the power of lighting lord or elf princess which created out of childish desire so how incredible it's owner is at young age

So i sometimes wonder isn't author made Elfie too much overpowered like she never showed interest in becoming stronger or magia Vander but likely second strongest along with zeo with just her passive unmotivated talent alone and the power which whole world praise her for like her own spells series is nothing but a magic spells created by an child out of some desire for one she love and that help her to rise and to such position

And when we dived in origin of Colette we got to know her op powers , same for Lihana as we know her family , secret art , her amulet ( not that much but enough to analyze it ) , Will case is similar but author neither touched elfie origin or either even given her any screen time so unlike other for now we only think elfie is just commoner ( which she might be not) who created some spell when she was child which give her op powers which on par or equal with noble or Magia Vander descend royal families , secret art etc

so what would happen if Elfie whole origin is showed along with her Total potential who knows how overpowered she might become if she utilizes it seriously

Who is more powerful ?

We know that ellonor is Said to be the Elf princess not elf queen and from here and there discussion i got to know something about elf queen mentioned in wignall side story where we don't have much information about her but she is someone who stands above ellonor ( more powerful ) , absolute pinnacle of elfs aspects and living for more than 500 years.

So does she is more powerful than current magia vander? does you think she can beat curent Magia Vander like Zeo , Elfaria , Carriot , Aaron? Why she isn't joined tower as mages favour them to let resides in there teritory so in exchange isn't they can ask her to maintain barrier as she is strongest Elf as said to be

Note - Second image is of danmachi character and this elf queen might have same character design

Some people still say Zeo no diffed elfaria

I keep seeing people say that Zeo was holding back against Elfaria, that he wasn’t using his full power, or that Elfaria simply got lucky. I honestly don’t think the fight supports that interpretation.

First, look at the advantages Zeo had going into this fight.

Zeo is not some mage who normally hesitates to use his strength or show mercy to his enemies. He is a battle-obsessed, extremely aggressive fighter whose entire character is built around combat and lighting speed with parallel incatanation. He was originally a street orphan, was selected during the Great War, and was subsequently adopted by the Reinbolt family, a noble house specializing in lightning magic. He became the next Thorzeus Fasce at an exceptionally young age. He is also one of the Magia Vander who has accumulated enormous practical combat experience, and unlike a conventional mage, his fighting style extends far beyond spellcasting.

He learned close-quarters combat from dwarves, incorporated elven techniques such as parallel/concurrent chanting, and has developed his own extremely unconventional style of combining lightning, physical combat and magic. He is specifically regarded as the strongest of the Magia Vander in close-range combat. He has also reached the 48th floor of the dungeon by himself and is currently aiming to push even further Upto 50th floor.

So yes, if you simply look at experience, combat instinct, physical ability, close-range specialization, dungeon experience and years as a Magia Vander, the matchup heavily favors Zeo on paper.

And that is exactly why Finn initially predicting Zeo to win makes sense.

Now look at Elfaria's side.

Elfaria is incredibly young compared with Zeo and has only been a Magia Vander for a fraction of the time. She is also infamous for being lazy and spending much of her time sleeping or observing Will through her clones rather than actively training herself as a combatant. Sarissa essentially handles much of the Ice Faction's day-to-day work because of Elfaria's notorious lack of motivation.

And Elfaria's situation is even more unusual because she has effectively been living two lives. Her clones allow her to remain connected to Will, watch over him, maintain their home, cook for him and even pursue things like artificer-related knowledge so she can make things useful to him including magic item's so she's practically living as housewife of will while also pursuing life as an Artificer student. Her priorities have never really been “I need to become the strongest mage possible.” Her greatest obsession has always been Will.

So if we are comparing training, battle experience, combat specialization and fighting mentality, Zeo has practically every conventional advantage.

But then we reach the reason Elfaria is such a ridiculous prodigy:

Her natural talent.

Elfaria's raw magical capacity is absurd, and she possesses an exceptional understanding of magic and an extremely high battle IQ. She doesn't need to fight like Zeo does. She compensates for her lack of conventional combat experience through her ridiculous magical talent, creativity, spell construction and ability to analyze the battlefield.

And we actually saw this during their fight.

Elfaria anticipated that Zeo would try to exploit his enormous advantage in close combat. Rather than simply allowing him to dictate the distance, she immediately incorporated barriers and other spells into her strategy. What is particularly impressive is that even Zeo's extraordinary combat instincts did not immediately recognize what she was setting up.

That's important.

Zeo is basically described as a monster of combat instinct. Yet Elfaria was able to formulate a strategy that exploited his fighting style and force him into situations she wanted.

And she wasn't doing this with unlimited resources either. Some of the techniques she used came with a huge magical cost, meaning she was gambling an enormous portion of her available mana simply to make her strategy work.

Meanwhile, Zeo wasn't exactly fighting casually either.

People point to Elfaria bleeding from the head while Zeo supposedly “barely took damage,” but that's not an accurate representation of what happened. Zeo himself is visibly injured across his upper body ( head , abs , back , , neck ) during the fight, and, most importantly, Zeo himself acknowledges the battle as a draw.

The official anime synopsis makes this even clearer: their clash remains unresolved even after both of them use their highest-tier magic, leaving the ceremonial hall devastated.

So where exactly does “Zeo no-diffed Elfaria” come from?

If anything, the fight demonstrates the opposite.

Zeo had almost every conventional advantage going into the matchup.

  • More years as a Magia Vander
  • Far greater practical combat experience
  • Vastly more experience fighting actual enemies
  • Exceptional physical ability
  • Lightning-enhanced speed
  • The strongest close-range combat ability among the Magia Vander
  • Dwarf-taught close combat
  • Elven techniques
  • Extensive dungeon experience
  • A combat mentality built around constantly fighting and becoming stronger
  • Extremely sharp combat instincts

And yet Elfaria still fought him to a draw.

That's what makes Elfaria's performance so impressive.

She wasn't matching Zeo because she had spent the last several years grinding herself into a battle-hardened monster. She was matching him largely through an absurd combination of raw magical talent, intelligence, creativity, spell mastery and battle IQ.

And I think this is where people misunderstand Elfaria.

Her being lazy doesn't mean she is weak.

In fact, it's arguably one of the most insane parts of her character. She's been doing the bare minimum expected of her as a Magia Vander like maintain barrier and do faction responsibility while possessing talent that was recognized as extraordinary from childhood. Evan ( curse him , idiot ) considered her an exceptional enough talent to potentially become the next Mage Queen, which says a lot about the ceiling the story is establishing for her.

So I wouldn't even say this fight proves that Elfaria is definitely stronger than Zeo.

I think the fairest conclusion is that they're currently comparable, but their strengths are completely different.

Zeo is the more experienced combat monster. He is vastly more polished in actual fighting and especially in close quarters.

Elfaria is the once-in-a-generation magical prodigy whose natural talent and intelligence allow her to compensate for the things she lacks in experience.

That's why I would currently put them roughly equal rather than declaring Zeo decisively above her.

And I also wouldn't claim this fight showed the absolute maximum of either character. We have no reason to assume that either Zeo or Elfaria has revealed every card they possess. A single fight doesn't establish the absolute ceiling of either character.

If I had to make a current ranking based on what has actually been shown, I'd personally go:

1. Aaron — simply because the story continues to position him at the top, although we've still seen surprisingly little of his actual combat ability.

2. Elfaria ≈ Zeo — genuinely debatable, and I think the story intentionally leaves room for that debate but as Said by zeo an Draw.

3. Carriott

4. Ellenor

The lower positions are much more debatable because we haven't seen everyone fighting seriously against comparable opponents. For example, Ellenor's loss to Elfaria was specifically in ice magic, which is Elfaria's specialty, so I wouldn't use that alone to establish an absolute overall ranking but Ellenor restricted to one particular element not to put all her potential in that particular medium so here other might have an slight edge above her.

Ultimately, the biggest takeaway from Elfaria vs. Zeo isn't “Zeo is stronger” or “Elfaria is stronger.”

It's that Elfaria, despite having almost every conventional disadvantage in terms of experience and combat preparation, was still able to stand on equal footing with one of the most experienced and terrifying combatants among the Magia Vander.

That should make people more impressed by Elfaria, not dismiss her performance as a no-diff loss.

And honestly, this is probably why her potential is so interesting going forward. She's only 16, already one of the youngest Magia Vander ever, possesses ridiculous magical talent, has created numerous original spells, has exceptional magical intelligence, and has barely shown the kind of dedicated combat training that characters like Zeo have spent years developing.

If Elfaria ever genuinely decides, “I want to become stronger,” rather than simply doing what is necessary to fulfill her responsibilities and then going back to thinking about Will...

That's when I think we really start seeing what the “Ice Princess” is actually capable of.

What's her opinion on Will Serfort

What does Sarissa thinks about Will like she might heard alot about him from elfaria but except elfaria whole tower consider Will as an Tool or unworthy no talent who does not deserve to either at acadmy or tower. Does she view will Serfort in same way? or does she consider him an ally? She's one of the main pillar standing between will and elfaria.

What was happened in great war

We often hear about the Great War that happened 10 years ago, but do we actually know what happened during that war?

We know that, because of Finn’s blunder, the entire Sword Clan was wiped out. But this raises a really interesting question: Finn had been training and establishing the Sword Clan for around 500 years, so how could such a powerful clan be completely wiped out in a single war, especially when Finn himself was their leader?

And at that time, Baal was sealed, so was there someone else powerful enough to accomplish something on that scale?

We also know that some Magia Vander were killed during the war, and that Ghotia was behind it. This raises another huge question: does Ghotia have someone who is powerful enough to fight and kill a Magia Vander—or even more than one Magia Vander?

The way the story phrases it makes it seem like more than one Magia Vander may have been killed during the Great War. If that's the case, I think there's a possibility that the Magia Vander who died were the Fire and Thunder Magia Vander, especially because the Ice and Elf factions might not have participated.

We already know from Zeo that Ellnor doesn't participate in the Great War, which makes the situation even more interesting and lefiya & her people lost many things in it.

Then there's one time when the Ice Magia Vander's died. Around the same time that the Ice Magia Vander died, an invader came from the sky. If two Magia Vander really were killed during the war, wouldn't that also increase the possibility that the barrier had weakened or disappeared by more than 40%, meaning that more invaders could have arrived?

If that's what happened, then the scale of the Great War becomes insane.

We potentially have:

  • The entire Sword Clan being wiped out.
  • Two of the five Magia Vander potentially being killed.
  • The barrier being weakened or disappearing enough for more invaders to arrive.
  • Ghotia being behind the conflict.
  • And yet, someone still managed to stand against Ghotia and the invaders and ultimately stop them.

So the biggest question for me is:

Who actually stopped Ghotia and the invaders?

And more importantly, how did the Great War actually unfold?

There are so many missing pieces here that I honestly think this is one of the most interesting events in Wistoria that we haven't properly seen yet. The author could easily make an entire flashback manga arc about the Great War—showing what happened, how the Sword Clan was wiped out, which Magia Vander died, how the invaders entered, what Ghotia's actual role was, and most importantly, who was powerful enough to stop them in the end.

And one more thing devander said to be the monster who killed previous generation of magia vander so does a 40th floor monster is that much strong to kill Magia Vander , like Magia Vander shown to be exceptional powerful pinnacle of world so how can a 40th floor monster kill them , isn't they need to be more powerful?

I'd genuinely love to see a complete flashback arc dedicated to this war because there's clearly a lot more going on behind those brief mentions we've gotten so far.

It's surprising how well it goes

This season, along with Wistoria: Wand and Sword, many other really good anime aired, such as I Made Friends with the Second Prettiest Girl in My Class, I Want to End This Love Game, Girls Can’t Be Kind to Otaku?!, Re:ZERO, Witch Hat Atelier, The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten, and many more.

Some of these were among the most anticipated and heavily hyped shows of the season, which naturally gave them an advantage in terms of popularity and attention. But despite all of that, the way Wistoria rose this season has been exceptional.

Some of its episodes have received 9.8/10 ratings, the animation quality has remained strong, and the storytelling has continued to attract viewers. On top of that, its characters have been securing extremely high positions in popularity polls, with Elfaria even reaching #1 in some of them.

And honestly, Elfaria reaching #1 is especially impressive when you consider the competition this season. There are so many popular characters, like Umi, Mahiru, coco and others, who have had much more screen time and opportunities to connect with the audience. Yet Elfaria managed to rise to the top despite having relatively very little screen time throughout the season and even carrying some negativity and hate from Season 1.

In that sense, Elfaria's popularity feels like a genuine redemption. She managed to overcome that baggage and rise to the top in what was an extremely competitive season for character popularity and proved why she is one of the best character in this series along with Will.

The same thing applies to Will and Elfaria as a pair.

Wistoria is primarily a fantasy action anime, and there are plenty of shows where the story is heavily focused on the main leads and their relationships, which naturally gives those characters and ships an advantage. But despite that, Will and Elfaria were still able to rank #1, which is a huge achievement.

What's even more impressive is that, apart from those few minutes in the final episode, Will and Elfaria barely got any opportunity to properly interact with each other in the current timeline. Their opponents in these popularity polls were characters and ships that had already been given much more time to establish themselves with the audience.

Yet the Willfie ship was still able to hold its ground and reach the top.

Throughout the entire season, both Will and Elfaria consistently managed to remain within the top 5 or top 10, and toward the end of the season they were even climbing higher. I think this is something we can genuinely appreciate about the author: the way these elements have been blended into the story without making the romance feel disconnected from the main plot.

Without a doubt, Will and Elfaria are one of the most crucial pillars holding Wistoria together. In fact, I think their eventual reunion is one of the biggest things keeping viewers and readers hooked. You can see it constantly being discussed: When will Will and Elfaria finally reunite?

That alone says a lot about how effectively the author has built up their relationship and reunion. Their lack of interaction in the current timeline hasn't killed the ship's popularity—in some ways, it has made people even more eager to see them together again.

So, seeing Elfaria remain so popular despite her limited screen time, seeing Will himself remain highly popular, seeing their ship continue to rank highly, and seeing the hype surrounding their eventual permanent reunion is genuinely impressive.

And if the author executes this part of the story properly going forward, I honestly think Wistoria has the potential to become one of the greatest anime of all time.

Another thing I find particularly interesting is how rare Wistoria feels compared to other anime when it comes to its main ship.

There are very few anime where you can look at the popularity rankings throughout an entire season and see only one particular ship consistently standing at the top. In many other anime, there are two or even three ships involving the main characters that can compete with each other and all seem like relatively fair possibilities.

But with Wistoria, Will and Elfaria have consistently been the only ship standing out in these rankings.

And that's because, from the way the story has been written so far, Will and Elfaria are the only pairing that truly feels like it makes sense and deserves to end up together. The story hasn't created a situation where two or three different ships feel equally valid or where the audience is constantly divided over which pairing should happen.

The author has made the central relationship clear while still keeping the characters and story engaging enough to make people wait and look forward to their reunion.

So, once again, I think the author deserves credit for how well this has been executed. The popularity of Will and Elfaria, despite their limited interaction, the consistent rankings throughout the season, and the massive anticipation surrounding their reunion are all signs that the author has done something very effective with this relationship.

Now, if the author can deliver on that buildup and execute their reunion and relationship properly, Wistoria could have something genuinely special on its hands.

Will they ever reach the level of Magia Vander?

Many says that wills all friends gonna be Magia Vander in the end but i don't think so as of current story point because As current magia vander are shown to be extremely powerful like

Ellonor who is an child prodigy possess immense talent created Kings forest as a child , mastered elf queen's secret art , mastered all magical elements etc

Zeo who reached upto 50th floor , possess immense magical power , unmatchable speed like lighting , mastered close combat skill , an ruthless monster who don't spare his enemies

Carriot is an exceptional strategist who cleared domains of trials , possess mastery in fire elements and One of the most powerful magia Vander

Elfaria , the way her character is no joke she even said to be the next potential mage queen , she outline ellonor , cariott and matches zeo head on Just with her passive talent and created her own 12 spells , fasted spell caster and possess immense intelectual mastery , exceptional battle IQ and strategic mind etc.

Aaron - The king 👑 and strongest one

From above description we can say that this generation of Magia Vander is far above the level of Magia Vander like everyone has achieved unbelievable things which make them invincibles.

So how can Wills current Friends rise above them as after putting everything they have for 6 years they still not able to clear 11th floor and low diffed by a 25th floor boss even when combining every they have as teams and still a newbies at tower

Collet said to be possess same raw magical power as 10 year old elfaria but raw magical power isn't the only aspect to reach top, there are other things to master or achieve and that 10 year old elfaria only able to fight Carriot 5 mins but now able to fight zeo head on despite lazing for whole 6 years show how much her Power grown and might be far above collet.

Julius still not mastered a spell created by 2 year old infant

Wignall struggle to control illusion magic

Lihana has low physical fitness

Sion well he had most of development than others

So by current pace its not possible that any Wills friends might surpass those current magia vander and only possible for them to be one when curent one step down and even though there are others who are suitable like

if elfaria step down , Sarissa is more suitable and powerful than Julius for ice faction

For elf Faction it might be lefiya

Fire Faction here sion ( because his determination to overcome anything and the way he fought back Carriot , as he has long way to go but still he has potential )

For lightning Faction, i will say Will ( Lihana as for now not suitable with many disadvantage in her favour ) and why will , he can not able to use magic so how he? well as we seen will can able to use magic of the person he charge with wis like elfaria magic so if he store zeos magic in his memories then with wis he might able to use lightening spells like zeo and he possess far more potential in close combat than zeo

For light Faction , its Iris as she shown someone whom aaron can give his authorities

other Faction is no way near them them

So towards EOS the only way Wills friends can become next Magia Vander is either current Magia Vander and potentially next one to be die or step down and as emergency they might be one or author give them some plot armour

And honestly if i have to say what rank they can achieve with there full potential and dedication as towards end then it max most an ascendants rank
