Well, I’ve seen a few posts and discussions asking just how obsessed Will actually is with Elfie. We’ve already seen how deeply Elfie loves Will and how obsessed she can be with him, but I feel like Will’s side of it doesn’t get nearly as much attention.

From what we’ve seen, I’d say Will is just as obsessed with Elfie as she is with him—maybe even more in some ways. There are plenty of moments that show just how deeply attached he is to her, but people often overlook or don’t pay enough attention to that side of his character.

So, let’s take a look at just how obsessed Will actually is with Elfie.

Will’s Goal: Reach Elfie

This is probably the most obvious one.

Will’s entire goal is basically to reach Elfie.

His dream is to stand proudly beside her and, at the very least, become her one and only sword.

That’s what he keeps working toward. His ambition, his struggles, and so much of his motivation ultimately come back to one thing: being beside Elfie.

What Will Thinks About Himself

What’s interesting is that Will doesn’t even see himself the way Elfie sees him.

Elfie sees him as kind, courageous and someone worthy of standing beside her, while Will himself thinks he’s just a pathetic idiot. He basically believes that he isn’t the kind and courageous person Elfie thinks he is, because, in his own words and mindset, the only thing he really wants is to be beside Elfie—to be with her and nothing else.

He even considers himself pathetic for wanting that so badly.

But despite thinking that about himself, he still wants it.

That’s what makes it interesting. Even when Will doubts himself, his desire to stay beside Elfie never really disappears.

His Strength: Elfie’s Goggles of Promise

Another huge example is Elfie’s goggles of promise.

We see that without those goggles, Will becomes noticeably more cowardly and can’t stop himself from shaking. But when he puts them on, he regains his courage and is able to push forward.

It’s almost as if, in his mind, Elfie is lending him her strength or fighting alongside him.

Obviously, the goggles themselves aren’t literally giving him Elfie’s power, so that part may simply be psychological. But regardless of whether it’s actually happening or it’s entirely in Will’s head, the goggles clearly act as a catalyst that boosts his courage, strength and determination.

Even when Elfie isn’t physically there, having something connected to her gives Will the strength to keep moving forward.

When Will Was Little

And then there’s their childhood.

According to LN1, Will and Elfie basically did everything together.

He always took baths with her, slept with her, ate with her, spent all his time with her, and so on.

And when they slept together, it wasn’t simply that they happened to sleep next to each other.

After some playful kicking around, Will would intertwine his legs with Elfie’s, pull her close to his chest and gently hug her. When he woke up, he would hold her hand until she woke up so she wouldn’t feel lonely.

Whenever he thought Elfie was having nightmares, he would gently hug her until he felt that her nightmare had passed.

He would comb her hair and even help her get dressed.

LN1 basically shows how naturally close they were from childhood.

At this point, we really can’t blame Elfie for being so spoiled when it comes to Will.

His Jealousy Toward Julius

Then we get to their first year at the academy.

When Will sees Julius trying to become Elfie’s partner and attempting to kiss her hand, Will becomes extremely jealous.

He literally pushes himself between them, basically making it clear that Julius might be stronger than him in a fight, but he would still protect Elfie from him.

And the interesting part is the contrast.

Julius was simply interacting with Elfie while secretly having ulterior motives, yet Will still became extremely jealous just from seeing another guy getting close to her.

What makes this even more interesting is Will’s memory-loss issue.

Because of his lost memories, he can’t fully comprehend or understand what he actually feels for Elfie at that point.

He doesn’t necessarily have the words or understanding to recognize those feelings for what they are.

Yet he still gets extremely jealous at the very thought of Elfie leaving him or being with someone else.

Even without fully understanding his own feelings, his actions basically give him away.

Whenever Elfie Gets Sick

Whenever Elfie gets sick or catches a cold, Will doesn’t want to spend even a moment away from her.

He stays close to her and becomes extremely concerned about her.

Again, this isn’t something that feels like a casual friendship. His attachment to her is deeply ingrained in him.

How Will Describes Elfie

In LN1, Will describes Elfie as someone extremely important to him—someone who is essentially his important family.

Then in LN2, he describes her as his precious girl.

And we shouldn’t forget the way he poetically describes Elfie’s beauty in both novels either.

Will isn’t exactly someone who casually throws around romantic-sounding descriptions, which makes the way he talks about Elfie stand out even more.

LN2 — When He Sees Elfie Again

This is probably one of the biggest examples of it.

In LN2, Will’s focus is mainly on Colette along with his academic course, especially because Professor Workner basically tells him to be her friend, partly for his own benefit. Will also genuinely cares about Colette and wants to help/save her.

Because of that, we see Will paying attention to Colette quite often.

Whenever Colette seems to be staring at him or looks like she wants to say something but can’t get the words out, Will is normally quick to notice and ask her, “What’s it?”

He’s usually pretty perceptive when it comes to her.

But then he sees Elfie at the inauguration ceremony after being separated from her for so long.

And suddenly, it’s like the rest of the world disappears.

Colette is right there, and Will normally would notice when she’s looking at him or trying to get his attention, but this time he doesn’t even pay attention to her.

He completely forgets Colette—and basically everything else around him—the moment his attention goes toward Elfie.

And then we get that incredibly telling description:

“My precious girl, now gone, who is always with me but now gone far away to a new world. I’m driving mad, strongly yearning for her.”

While saying this, he’s clutching Elfie’s goggles close to his heart/chest.

And look at the words being used here.

“My precious girl.”

“Driving mad for her.”

“Strongly yearning for her.”

This isn’t just Will casually thinking, “Oh, there’s Elfie.”

He’s basically overwhelmed by how much he misses her and how strongly he wants to be with her, without even fully realizing how intense those feelings actually are at that moment.

Even While Dancing With Colette

And then there’s the dancing scene.

Will is dancing with Colette, so logically his attention should be on Colette.

Yet somehow, he is still able to sense Elfie’s emotions from all the way across the distance.

He interprets it almost as if Elfie wants to dance with him.

Again, this is Will being strangely tuned in to Elfie even when she isn’t directly interacting with him.

He can pick up on her feelings from a distance while being in the middle of a completely different situation.

His Reaction When He Sees Elfie

And we can’t forget that Will actually blushes when he sees Elfie for the first time.

This is especially noticeable because it’s basically the first time we see him blush like that in the anime.

And his every second or third line is always:

“Elfie, I’m going to do it.”

“Elfie, wait for me.”

“I want to be with her.”

It’s constantly Elfie, Elfie, Elfie.

His Confessions

And finally, there’s something that I think gets overlooked quite a lot.

As of now, Will’s confession count toward Elfie is actually higher than Elfie’s confession count toward him.

And I’m excluding the minor ones from both sides here.

So despite the common perception that Elfie is the one who is overwhelmingly obsessed with Will while Will is comparatively passive, the actual material we have shows that Will has plenty of moments where his attachment, longing, jealousy and desire to be beside Elfie are incredibly intense.

There are still some more points I could bring up, but this post is already getting pretty long.

So for now, I think the points above are enough to give an idea of just how deep Will’s feelings for Elfie actually go.

We talk a lot about how obsessed Elfie is with Will.

But honestly, Will is pretty damn obsessed with Elfie too.

So does Wills group can fight them head on as we know sion Julius Wignall Lihana Colette are powerful but we can consider them a newbies highmage of regarden and as if above comparison might be real regarding power level of those mages of Samios, they will likely be outmatch wills group members but maybe then theirs come Rosty's pocket which he given might help either to boost there power or supporting tools or maybe transportation or escape things.

And don't tell me Rosty's going to die again as being Artificer he's got no chance to win against those mages untill rosty decided to use he's true power but which likely reveal his identify and this Gharzela is looking hellious powerful as being closest to be a magia vander, so their might be chance we going to see will using something new power which might he learn during fight with Theo as this might be the purpose why finn decided to send him to Samios as this will help will to learn things from another sword which likely a disposed sword which headless and marze found and manipulate him.

We know Elfaria created her own original spells, known as the El Glace Frosse series, and by the age of 16 she has already created 12 original spells—the most in magical history ever.

But the more interesting question is: when did she create all of them?

While watching Episode 11, I noticed something interesting. El One: Ars Weiss, her first original spell, was already created when Elfaria was only 2 years old. Then in Season 2 Episode 9, we see El Two: Isnomee Lasli, which is the second spell of the series.

So what if the numbers of the El Glace Frosse spells actually represent the order in which Elfaria created them?

Because if that's the case, things get crazy.

In Episode 11, Elfaria uses El Ten: Myrdas Fridoliete, her tenth spell, and says that she created it so she could hug little, shy Will.

Elfaria and Will entered the academy >!when they were around 10,!< and >!they were separated only two months later.!< So based on what Elfaria says, it seems very likely that she created Myrdas Fridoliete before turning 10.

If the numbering really follows the creation order, that means Elfaria had potentially already created 10 original spells before she was even 10 years old.

And we're not talking about some simple new spells either.

Her original spell includes like creating a clone of herself with Equal power, freezing everything—including magic itself, and transforming herself into different forms etc.

The craziest part is Myrdas Fridoliete itself. A spell Elfaria may have created as a child with some childish reason was powerful enough to trap two of the greatest Magia Vander, and they couldn't break out of it.

And remember, creating a completely new spell is considered an achievement comparable to six years of intense study and brutal griding in dungeon at the highest magical academy of there World.

So thinking about it like : a child who hadn't even turned 10 may have already created 10 completely original spells, some of which are powerful enough to affect the strongest mages in the world , shows how ridiculously power the inventor is actually.

Then her 12th spell was created when Will was in his sixth year at the academy, with both of them being 16. And surprisingly, it is placed at number 12, her latest spell, again following the chronological order.

That's what makes Elfaria's talent so ridiculous.

She's not just a powerful mage with huge magical power. She was creating completely new, high-level magic from an absurdly young age.

That's why being called a once-in-a-generation prodigy actually makes sense for her.

There are posts where people claim that Colette has a chance of becoming endgame because there’s still a lot of story left, which could supposedly give Will enough time to develop feelings for her. They also claim that Colette is equally powerful and talented as Elfaria, so eventually Elfaria and Colette will battle it out on equal footing for Will’s love.

To make these fantasies seem plausible, they spread misinformation while twisting or selectively interpreting the story in their favor.

If you like a particular character, you can love them as much as you want or ship them with whoever you want. That’s completely fine. But liking a character doesn’t give you the right to spread misinformation or distort the story just to make your preferred outcome seem more likely.

At this point in the story, the idea that Colette still has a realistic chance of becoming endgame with Will—or that she could eventually “win” him—is extremely difficult — impossible — to justify when you actually look at what happened throughout the story.

Let me explain.

Will and Colette became friends around the end of their first year. However, because of the previous Invader incident, Will lost all of his memories up until the point he entered the first year. In other words, from Will’s perspective, it is almost like starting over from the beginning. He no longer remembers his childhood, his experiences with Elfie, or the years they spent together.

And immediately after losing those memories, Will was separated from Elfie.

Will didn't even know why Elfie had left him. All she told him was that she had something very precious to her that she needed to protect, which was why she decided to become a Magia Vander , from our perspective we can say those words of Elfie might act as catalyst to form doubts in will heart as thinking Elfie now has something more important than him which may put Elfies love rival at more advantage.

Now, look at the situation from Colette's perspective.

One of the biggest advantages Elfaria originally had over Colette was the fact that she had spent around ten years with Will and had always been by his side. But after Will lost his memories, that particular advantage essentially disappeared from her perspective.

Not only did Will forget all of those memories with Elfie, but Elfie was also no longer beside him.

And who was there?

Colette.

She became Will's friend at precisely this point in his life. She was beside him while Elfie was gone, and she had an opportunity that, under normal circumstances, would have been almost impossible to obtain.

In fact, Colette realized her own feelings for Will very early. Her jealousy when she saw Will's almost obsessive madly devotion toward Elfie during the Inauguration Ceremony makes it pretty clear that her feelings were already approaching something that could be called love.

Meanwhile, Will had lost his memories of Elfie and was separated from her. He is also, as we've seen throughout the story, somewhat dense and emotionally immature. And that is understandable. Our experiences are a major part of what shapes us, helps us mature, and influences how we understand relationships. Those experiences are stored in our memories, and Will literally lost a huge portion of them. You can't really blame him for behaving differently because of that but with this immaturity , under normal circumstances winning such kind of people is easy as he himself not fully know what he feels for elfie or what this burning desire he has in his heart for elfie.

On top of all of this, Elfie herself had essentially given Colette an advantage by leaving Will behind. Colette was now able to spend time with Will as his friend without having to compete with the Elfie that Will remembered.

And if Colette ever hesitated to act on her feelings, she had another massive advantage:

Rose.

Rose had already figured out how Colette felt about Will. From very early on, she was essentially acting as Colette's ultimate wingman, constantly trying to bring Will and Colette closer together and doing things that favored Colette.

And there was another important factor: almost everyone hated Will.

There wasn't exactly a long line of girls trying to get between Will and Colette.

So let's put all of this together.

Colette:

• Realized her feelings for Will very early.
• Will lost all of his memories of Elfie.
• Had Elfie to leave Will and become a Magia Vander.
• Colette was as able to remain beside Will while Elfie was gone.
• Had Rose actively supporting her and trying to bring them closer.
• Got to spend years with Will as one of his closest and most important friends.
• Had very little actual competition for Will's affection during those years.

If Colette was ever going to have an opportunity to change Will's feelings, this was it.

And yet, what was the result?

Will's feelings for Elfie never wavered. Not even slightly tiniest bit.

Despite losing all of his memories of Elfie, despite being separated from her, despite spending years with Colette, despite Colette realizing her feelings for him, despite Rose helping her, and despite having every possible opening to become closer to him...

Will still ended up confessing that he wanted to be with the girl he loved:

Elfie. As for all this year Will's feeling for Elfie only growing stronger and he traced way to put it in a name of what it called actually —

Love.

And this is what makes the argument that “Colette just needs more time” so weak.

She already had an enormous amount of time.

She got approximately six years with Will after his memory loss, during which she remained his friend and one of the important people in his life. If six years of proximity, friendship, opportunity, and support from Rose weren't enough to make Will's feelings shift even the tiniest bit, then what exactly is supposed to suddenly change in the future?

And you can even see the emotional and physical distance between Will and Colette when they sit together. Will may care about Colette deeply as a friend, but there is still a noticeable gap between them. His feelings simply aren't the same as what he feels for Elfie.

This is why saying “there's still a lot of story left, so Colette could eventually develop Will's feelings for her” isn't really an argument based on what the story has actually shown us. It's essentially asking the future to undo six years of established character development despite the fact that Colette already had an extraordinary opportunity to make that development happen. As spending those long 6 years besides him doesn't given her what she desires then how come she get it now as she's not even able to stay beside him and Elfie coming in picture along with will confessing his love for Elfie again.

And then there is another argument I've seen: someone posted a crossover/Wistoria × DanMachi story and pointed out that Hestia supposedly supports Colette, using that as evidence that the author is “rooting for Colette.”

But there is an obvious problem with that argument.

That crossover SS was released in April 2021.

So, if we are supposed to treat that as meaningful evidence that the author has been secretly rooting for Colette since 2021 — when only around 5 chapters of series released, then where is the progression?

If the author was supposedly setting up Colette as the girl who would eventually win Will, why haven't we seen that progression over all these years , for even a slightest bit?

After this SS or all those years we reached mid-way of the series along with Colette getting an prequel volume completely about herself as main character, but still nothing changed but made her only more friendzoned as will clearly stated what he actually feel for Colette.

Why, despite Colette having arguably the biggest opportunity she could possibly have—Will losing his memories of Elfie, Elfie leaving, Colette being beside him for 6 years, Rose supporting her with everything, and Colette herself developing feelings for him—did Will's feelings for Elfie remain completely unchanged?

At some point, we have to distinguish between what the story actually establishes and what fans want the story to become.

You can absolutely love Colette.

You can ship Colette and Will.

You can hope that the author gives her more development.

All of that is completely fine.

But taking every ambiguous moment, crossover joke, or minor interaction and combining them into “proof” that Colette is going to be endgame—while ignoring the overwhelming evidence pointing in the opposite direction—is not objective analysis.

That's just trying to make a preferred ship look canon by bending the story around it.

Like whoever you want. Ship whoever you want. But don't turn your headcanon into misinformation and then present it as if the story has actually established it.

Now, regarding the point that “Colette is equally powerful and talented as Elfaria”, this is another claim that doesn't really hold up when you look at what the story actually says.

A lot of this confusion seems to come from one statement in Prequel Volume 2, where Will analyzes Colette and says that her raw magical power/output might be comparable to what Elfaria possessed when she was around 10 years old.

But people conveniently leave out the rest of Will's analysis.

Will's point wasn't that Colette was equal to Elfaria in overall magical ability. In fact, he specifically makes it clear that Elfaria completely outclassed Colette in virtually every other aspect.

And this distinction is extremely important.

For a mage, raw magical output is only one part of overall strength. Other important aspects include:

• Magical versatility
• Spell variety
• Magical control
• Precision
• Efficiency
• Mastery of one's magic
• Combat experience
• Battle IQ
• Reaction and adaptability
• Tactical thinking
• Ability to combine spells creatively
• Casting speed
• Consistency under pressure
• Understanding of magic
• Ability to exploit an opponent's weaknesses

So if Colette can only be compared to Elfaria in one particular category—raw magical output—that doesn't make them equals overall.

And even that one comparison needs to be understood correctly.

Elfaria had already demonstrated that having less raw magical power doesn't automatically mean losing to someone with greater output. She defeated Ellonor despite Ellonor seemingly possessing roughly twice Elfaria's raw magical power.

That alone proves that raw magical output isn't the deciding factor in determining who is the stronger mage.

Elfaria's mastery, versatility, control, battle sense, and overall understanding of magic allowed her to overcome someone who possessed greater raw power.

So using Colette's raw magical output as proof that she is “equally powerful” to Elfaria is already fundamentally flawed.

And then we have the statement regarding Will's sword.

If after six years Colette has same level raw magical output comparable to Elfaria's, you would expect that a pure magical-output contest between the two would be completely even.

After all, if both supposedly possess the same level of raw magical power, shouldn't a pure “how much magical power can you pour into Will's sword?” contest be roughly equal?

But that's not how the author frames it.

The wording is essentially in his post about it:

“If it's only a pure output showdown, Colette might have a shot.”

Notice the wording.

It's not:

“Colette and Elfaria are equal in output.”

It's not:

“They would be evenly matched.”

And certainly not:

“Colette has surpassed Elfaria.”

It's that Colette might have a chance in a contest only restricted to pure output as Elfie+ Will sword purely dominate in all other aspects like Synergy , compatibility etc.

That distinction matters.

If Colette and Elfaria were genuinely equal in raw magical output, then a pure-output contest should logically be one of the clearest areas where they are evenly matched. Yet even there, the author's wording doesn't present Colette as an equal who has a 50/50 matchup. It presents her as someone who might have a shot. And from wording Colette chance are 3/10 or 4/10.

So if anything, at the current point of the story, it is entirely reasonable to interpret this as Elfaria having potentially surpassed Colette even in the very category where Colette was originally considered comparable to her only in that particular part.

And this doesn't mean Colette is weak.

Far from it.

Colette is an exceptional Earth-mage prodigy.

The problem is that people are comparing an exceptional prodigy to someone who has repeatedly been described as a peerless, once-in-a-generation genius.

Those aren't necessarily the same tier.

And Colette isn't even the only prodigy in Will's group.

Look at the others:

Lihanna is described as a genius , perfect and has the mysterious amulet that gives her another avenue for growth.

Colette is an exceptional prodigy with the Blood-Sealing Bracelet.

Julius is talented enough to refered as a Magia Vander successor and has accomplished something extraordinary by using El One, something that nobody had managed to do before.

Sion was able to withstand the power of a Fire Magia Vander's Guardian and even mutated his own Fire Guardian.

All of these characters have their own exceptional talents, abilities, and power-ups that can potentially contribute to their growth in the future.

That's exactly what makes Will's supporting cast so interesting.

They're all geniuses or prodigies in their own respective ways.

But that doesn't mean they're all equal.

And Elfaria still stands above them.

Julius is considered an exceptional Ice-mage genius, yet he spent his peak six years mastering a particular aspect of his magic and still couldn't reproduce even half of what child Elfaria was capable of accomplishing as 2 year old.

Think about that.

Julius had six years of development.

Elfaria was doing things at an incredibly young age that even an exceptionally talented Ice mage couldn't replicate after years of effort.

And this is supposedly the same Elfaria who is often portrayed as lazy, unmotivated, or uninterested in pushing herself to become stronger.

Despite that, she still remains absurdly powerful.

That should tell you just how ridiculous Elfaria's natural talent actually is.

And there is another factor that people tend to overlook.

Lihanna has her mysterious amulet.

Colette has her Blood-Sealing Bracelet and her secret Loire art, including her Golem-summoning abilities.

Will has WIS.

Julius has his own unique achievements and potential.

All of these characters have begun obtaining abilities or power-ups after tracing their origins and exploring deeper aspects of themselves and their magic.

But Elfaria's origin hasn't even been properly explored yet even 1%.

We haven't even traced a meaningful fraction of what lies behind Elfaria's abilities and potential.

If the other characters are discovering new aspects of themselves and gaining power-ups by investigating their origins, then Elfaria's unexplored origin leaves an enormous amount of uncertainty regarding just how much more potential she might possess.

And regarding actual talent i don't think I need to explain it about Elfaria as her prodigal talent is undeniable. Her sheer genius is demonstrated by her ability to invent 12 original spells, engineer custom magical items—such as darkness-piercing goggles or Seeker's map—and execute high-level magical techniques capable of fooling two of the most formidable Magia Vander are some example which demonstrates her extraordinary talent.

So claiming that Colette is “equally powerful and talented as Elfaria” based on one comparison involving raw magical output is simply ignoring the bigger picture.

Colette is an prodigy.

Lihanna is a genius.

Julius is a genius.

Sion is exceptionally talented.

And they all have unique abilities and future potential.

But Elfaria is portrayed on an entirely different level of natural talent.

And finally, there is one point that completely destroys the idea that Will's choice between Elfaria and Colette would ultimately come down to who is stronger.

Will doesn't love Elfaria because she is powerful.

His feelings for her aren't based on her magical power, her title, or her status as a Magia Vander.

So even if we entertain the most extreme hypothetical scenario—Colette eventually surpasses Elfaria, becomes stronger than her, or even somehow defeats her without difficulty—it still wouldn't automatically mean Will would choose Colette.

Because Will's feelings aren't:

“I will choose the strongest girl.”

His feelings are:

“I love Elfie.”

Even if Elfaria somehow became the weakest mage in their entire world, while Colette became the strongest person alive, that alone wouldn't change who Will loves. Will still gonna choose elfie.

That's the fundamental point people keep missing.

Power scaling and romantic feelings are two completely different things.

But jumping from “Colette is an exceptional prodigy with enormous potential” to “therefore she is equal to Elfaria and will eventually surpass her and win Will” is not supported by what the story has actually shown.

That's not power-scaling.

That's taking a character you like, adding every possible hypothetical advantage to her, and then treating the hypothetical outcome as if it were already established by the story.

One of the darkest and most disgusting parts of Wistoria is Evan’s treatment of Elfaria. This old geezer is not only exploiting and toying her feelings for Will and manipulating her emotions, but also showing a disturbing romantic interest in her.

The way he talks about Elfaria as if seeing her was “like first love,” while seemingly imagining some future where, once she grows up and turn into a beauty, she’ll give him a “heartfelt reward,” is absolutely vile. And then trying to touch her while licking his tongue? That scene was beyond disgusting.

Evan’s behavior is creepy, manipulative, and completely inappropriate for an watcher, an high mage , an human. Will honestly needed to beat the pulp out of him for the way he treated Elfaria.

This has to be one of the moments in the series that made me genuinely hate a character. Elfaria is just a toy for him to use for his personal interest , pleasure and benefits. He definitely deserve hell as people only hate Edward or Kreutz but as they should also need to know about this Evil person too.

I have seen those discussions here and there so what do you think about them with keeping pros and cons of each one in mind.

As both series s1 aired in same season in 2024 but as elfaria has very very less screen time she only able to make it in top 10 as opposite alya and yuki ranking between top 1 and top 2 or vice versa.

In S2 of wistoria , elfaria is despite less screen time able to make in top 5 continuously and then staying top 1 straight 3 weeks in one of the toughest season ever.

Fujino Omori revealed that he originally planned a lot of anime-original content for Wistoria Season 1 Episode 12, including these two scene : Elfie sneaking in will room and Magia Vander meeting

Honestly, Episode 12 would have been even more better if these scenes had made it into the anime.

Just imagine Elfie quietly sneaking into Will's room while he's sleeping, visiting him to check on him, and then secretly giving him a kiss. 😭 That alone would have been such a great Elfie/Will moment.

And the Magia Vander meeting on top of the tower sounds like it could have added another really intense scene to the finale. As we didn't seen them interacting much in season 1.

Omori originally planned these as anime-original content specifically for Season 1 Episode 12, but due to time limitations and production-related reasons, the script couldn't be fully adapted.

We also know that the Wistoria anime has already included some anime-original scenes during Season 1, so it's interesting to know that Omori had even more original material planned that ultimately had to be cut.

If they had managed to fit these scenes into Episode 12, I feel like it could have had the same kind of impact as those memorable anime-original moments we sometimes get in a Season 2 Episode 12.

Hopefully, just as Omori said, we'll get to see this unused material adapted somewhere in the future. Maybe an OVA, a future episode, or another opportunity to finally bring these scenes to life.

If it adapted we might able to see tons of will x Elfie moments in s1 ending but let's hope it get adapted in future.

I’ve seen an earlier discussion asking when Will actually realizes that he loves Elfie, with some people suggesting that it happens around the sixth year. We obviously don’t know the exact moment when he consciously puts a name to his feelings, but I think there’s an important distinction here: his feelings themselves clearly didn’t suddenly develop in the sixth year. They were already there from the very beginning.

Even when Will and Elfie were toddlers/very young, Will describes her as his most important family. During their first year together, he repeatedly thinks of her as his most important person/family. Then, when Elfie is forcibly taken away from him, Will falls into depression and keeps desperately saying things like “Give her back. She’s my family. She’s my most important person.”

And if we extend the timeline into the early years, Volume 2 of the prequel makes this even more interesting.

Whenever Will thinks about Elfie, the narration repeatedly uses extremely emotionally charged language. He thinks of her as “my precious girl” or his precious person, and at one point his feelings are described through words like yearning for her and being driven almost mad by how badly he wants to be with her again.

To me, that’s important because Will’s problem doesn’t seem to be that he doesn’t have romantic feelings for Elfie. His problem is that, because of his denseness and memory gaps, he has an incredibly difficult time understanding or categorizing what those feelings actually mean.

In other words, he understands what he feels before he understands what to call it.

And I think the depression we see developing around the third year is particularly interesting in that context.

When the Tower first takes Elfie away, Will is absolutely devastated. He essentially explodes with shock and desperation, but after finally being reunited with her, he is at least able to recover to some extent.

Then they're separated again.

And from that point toward the end of Volume 2, his feelings seem to become progressively stronger. His longing for Elfie isn't simply presented as missing a childhood friend kind of. The narration increasingly uses words like yearning, and he becomes almost desperate to be with her again , driving mad.

Then reality starts to sink in.

Getting to Elfie isn't easy.

The distance between them is enormous. The Tower is literally separating them, and Will begins to confront the possibility that he might not actually be able to reach her.

And that's where I think his depression becomes especially meaningful.

It's almost as if the first separation taught Will how much it hurts to lose Elfie, while the second separation makes him realize how desperately he wants to be with her again —and how terrifying it is that he might never reach her.

That's why I don't personally interpret the sixth year as the point where Will's love for Elfie suddenly begins.

I think the sixth year is much more likely to be the point where everything that's been there for years finally becomes conscious enough for him to recognize and put into words.

His feelings seem to have existed since childhood.

First, he calls her his most important family.

Then his most important person.

Then his precious girl.

Then he yearns for her.

Then he's driven almost mad by being separated from her.

And eventually, he has to confront the fact that what he feels for Elfie is something far deeper than he previously understood.

So the confession in the second episode/chapter doesn't necessarily feel like the beginning of Will's love story to me.

It feels more like the moment he finally finds the words for something that has been growing inside him for years.

And honestly, I think that's much more beautiful.

Because Will didn't suddenly fall in love with Elfie at some specific point.

He grew up loving her—and only much later began to understand what that love actually was.

And I think Chapter 62 gives another really interesting piece of evidence for this interpretation. When Will writes to Elfie, he ends with “Remember, my heart is always with you.” The word “remember” stands out to me here. He doesn't say something like “I hope my heart will always be with you” or “I want my heart to be with you.” He says remember, almost as if he's reminding her of something that has already been true between them for a long time. It could suggest that, in Will's mind, these feelings aren't something he has only recently discovered—they've been there from the very beginning, and now he's finally able to understand them and put them into the right words. There’s also an interesting possibility that Will assumes Elfie already understands what he feels for her, even if he himself has only recently become capable of consciously expressing it. In that sense, the confession isn't really “I have fallen in love with you.” It's closer to “You already know where my heart has always been—remember?” And I think that makes the wording of the letter even more meaningful.

The room was still wrapped in silence.

Beyond the tall windows, the faint light of the barrier slowly filtered into the chamber, casting a pale, bluish glow across the room. The heavy curtains barely moved, and the soft magical light left everything in a dim, dreamlike haze.

There was hardly a sound.

Only the quiet rustle of fabric could be heard from the bed.

A girl was sleeping peacefully beneath the blanket, her body turned toward the window.

She was curled slightly onto her right side, both arms wrapped tightly around a plushie as though she had no intention of letting it go even in her sleep.

Her beautiful blue hair—smooth as silk—was scattered softly across the pillow, the long strands catching the faint blue light and gleaming gently in the haze.

The blanket covered most of her body, but it had slipped just enough to leave her neck exposed along with a soft glimpse of the lower part of one leg against the wide bed.

The blanket itself had curved inward slightly around her sleeping form, rising gently over her body before dipping toward both edges of the bed.

It made the girl beneath it look even smaller against the wide, large bed.

She didn't seem to notice the morning light at all.

Still hugging the plushie close to her chest, she remained completely asleep, her breathing slow and peaceful.

Outside, the barrier continued to glow faintly.

And inside the quiet room, the morning had only just begun.

For a moment, nothing disturbed the peaceful scene.

Then—

click.

From somewhere on the left side of the room, the large door slowly began to open.

The sound was quiet, careful.

It was still too early for the room to be filled with the sounds of the waking tower.

The door opened just enough for a figure to slip inside.

She quietly entered the room and closed the large door behind herself.

Click.

Once again, silence returned.

The woman stood for a moment in the dimness.

Her figure was almost swallowed by the darker side of the room, with the pale morning light from the right barely touching her silhouette.

Then she began walking toward the bed.

Her dark-blue hair was of medium length, neatly gathered into a bun at the back of her head, while a few strands framed her face. Rectangular glasses rested neatly before her blue eyes.

In both hands, held close against her body, were several sheets of documents.

Even at this early hour, she looked completely prepared for the day.

Her footsteps were quiet as she approached the sleeping beauty who sleeping peacefully.

Then she stopped beside the bed.

“Lady Elfaria….., it's time for you to wake up.”

No response.

The sleeping beauty remained perfectly still.

The woman adjusted her glasses slightly.

“Lady Elfaria……”

Still nothing

Only the faint sound of breathing answered her.

Then—

“Ummmm… hmmmm…”

A tiny murmur escaped from beneath the blanket.

The sleeping girl curled a little more toward her right side, hugging the plushie tighter against her chest.

The woman stared down at her from a short distance.

“Please, Lady Elfaria. Wake up.”

The sleeping girl gave another faint murmur.

She — The Sleeping beauty — is the one who stand at the pinnacle of the magical world.

Albis Vina.

One of the Five Supreme Wands—the Ice Magia Vander — Once in a millennium prodigy.

A girl whose name alone was enough to command the respect of countless mages.

And yet, at this very moment…

She was refusing to wake up.

Completely immersed in her peaceful dream.

“Umm… just twenty more hours……”

Her sleepy voice was barely audible.

Then she added,

“…Sarisssa…”

As she said it, she curled herself even tighter, drawing her leg closer toward her body and tightening her embrace around the plushie.

“Will…..” The Sleeping Beauty murmured as dreaming something beautiful.

The woman’s eyebrow twitched.

A strict gaze settled behind her glasses.

“I said wake up.”

Her voice had become noticeably firmer.

“I know it's quite early compared to usual, but today your schedule is more packed than usual. We have several things to take care of, and there's an important meeting we need to attend.”

She paused.

“So, in order to manage everything, we need to start early.”

Her gaze sharpened.

“Now wake up. Quickly.”

The tone was no longer that of an aide politely waking her superior.

It sounded much more like a mother scolding her lazy daughter for refusing to get out of bed.

The girl beneath the blanket remained silent for several seconds.

Then, from somewhere inside the blanket—

“Postpone the schedule, then…”

The woman went completely still.

A vein nearly seemed to appear on her forehead.

“…I see , so you not gonna wake that easily…hmm.”

She reached down with one hand.

Then—

Fwump.

She pulled the blanket away.

“Eh—?”

The peaceful cocoon disappeared in an instant.

The girl who had been sleeping so comfortably only moments ago slowly lifted herself from the bed.

She sat there sleepily, her knees folded beneath her and her legs curved comfortably to either side, the large plushie now resting in her lap.

Her eyes were barely open.

She rubbed one of them with a hand, blinking repeatedly as she tried to adjust to the morning light.

Her long, silky blue hair had become slightly disheveled during sleep.

Some of it rested over her shoulder.

Some strands had fallen behind her back.

And a few stubborn locks had fallen across her face.

She slowly brushed them aside.

Her beautiful, gem-like blue eyes finally appeared beneath her sleepy lashes.

The soft morning glow touched her smooth skin, giving her an almost dreamlike appearance.

For a few seconds, she simply sat there.

Then she looked toward the woman standing beside her.

“Hey, Sarissa…”

Her voice was still heavy with sleep.

“Why are you more pushy than usual…?”

The woman let out a quiet sigh.

It was a sigh of relief.

At least she was finally awake.

“As I said, today's schedule is quite packed.”

She glanced down at the documents in her hands.

“We have many things to do, so it's best that we start early. Get up, freshen yourself, and get ready. We need to begin our work soon.”

She shifted the papers slightly, scanning through the schedule as she spoke.

The girl sitting on the bed listened.

Or perhaps she didn't.

It was difficult to tell.

She looked as though half of her consciousness was still wandering somewhere inside her dream for someone.

After a moment, she looked down at herself.

Then she looked toward Sarissa.

“Ummm…”

She blinked slowly.

“Can't I go to work like this today, Sarissa…?”

She was still wearing her nightclothes.

A loose white sleep dress with soft blue coloring that faded gently through the fabric. The neckline had slipped slightly during her sleep, leaving one shoulder exposed, while the loose garment fell down to around her mid-thigh.

Her bare legs remained uncovered below it.

She looked comfortable.

Sleepy.

And completely unprepared to face the outside world.

Sarissa stared at her.

For several seconds, she said nothing.

Then—

“You cannot go like this.”

Her voice became loud enough to fill the room.

“As a Magia Vander, you need to maintain a presentable appearance.”

She adjusted her glasses.

“And I will not allow you to attend your schedule dressed like that.”

She pointed toward the adjoining room.

“So hurry up. Freshen yourself and change your clothes.”

Then she turned toward the door.

“I'll arrange your breakfast in the meantime.”

Her hand reached for the door.

“And when I come back, I expect you to be ready.”

She gave the girl one final stern look.

“So hurry up.”

The door began to open.

Sarissa stepped out, leaving the room once again in silence.

The girl remained sitting on the bed.

Her sleepy eyes followed the closing door.

Click.

Silence.

She puffed out her cheeks slightly.

Then slowly tilted her head upward.

“Ahh…”

A small complaint escaped her lips.

“Everything seems like such a hassle when Will isn't around…”

No one answered.

Of course, no one was there to hear her.

But perhaps that was exactly what she wanted.

Because if Will were here…

Maybe things wouldn't feel quite so troublesome.

Maybe he would help her get ready.

Maybe she wouldn't have to deal with all of this herself.

Her gaze slowly fell toward the plushie still resting in her lap.

A faint, sleepy expression crossed her face with smile.

Then she sighed.

There was no escaping it.

If she didn't hurry, Sarissa would simply come back and scold her again.

With a reluctant little movement, she placed the large plushie of Will back on the bed, setting it together with the other plushies of him before finally getting up.

The morning had only just begun.

And for one of the busiest and most powerful women in the magical world—

Another long day had begun as usual.

After getting ready, the girl who had been sleeping so peacefully earlier now wore her holy white robe, its clean fabric trimmed with delicate golden edges. The elegant robe gave her the dignified appearance expected of one who stood at the pinnacle of the magical world.

She was seated at a fairly large, circular table.

Both the table and the chair were beautifully crafted in a whitish-silver color, resembling something carved from pure snow and ice. The faint morning light reflected softly from their surfaces, giving the entire arrangement an almost crystalline appearance.

The Ice Magia Vander sat quietly in her chair, enjoying her breakfast.

On her right stood her adjutant.

The dark-blue-haired woman held several documents close to her body with both hands. After briefly looking through them, she pulled out one particular document and passed it to her Magia Vander.

Elfaria accepted it with her left hand.

Her right hand continued holding a spoon.

Without stopping her breakfast, she began reading through the document while occasionally taking another bite.

For several minutes, the room remained quiet.

The only sounds were the faint clinking of the spoon against the dishes and the occasional rustle of paper.

The document contained the training and future assignment schedules of the Ice Faction's newest recruits.

Not long after the First and Second Blooms, each faction had scouted promising new recruits and starting their training as early as possible. With the current generation of talented mages gradually becoming older, every faction needed to ensure that enough capable mages would be ready in the future to uphold their respective factions.

The Ice Faction was no exception.

They had recruited several talented young mages of their own.

And as the Ice Faction's adjutant, Sarissa was responsible for overseeing their training and development.

Her gaze occasionally shifted toward Elfaria.

She had already read through several pages herself.

But the girl sitting beside her seemed to be going through the entire document at an absurd speed.

Is she actually reading it…?

Sarissa sometimes wondered that.

Yet she knew better.

There was no doubt about her Magia Vander's intellectual ability.

Elfaria's mastery wasn't limited to magic.

When it came to knowledge and understanding, she possessed a frighteningly sharp mind as well.

By the time Sarissa finished sorting the remaining papers, Elfaria had already reached the end of the document.

She placed it neatly on the table.

Sarissa spoke first “What do you think about it, Lady Elfaria?”.

“Well, it looks good to me.” Elfaria replied.

She picked up another spoonful of her breakfast.

“And knowing you, Sarissa, there shouldn't be any problem following this plan for now. So it's fine by me.”

Sarissa nodded.

“Then, when do you think you'll be able to guide them personally, Lady Elfaria?”

Elfaria paused for a moment.

“There are many things going on throughout the tower right now.”

She placed her spoon down.

“For the time being, I think the plan we've discussed is better. Let them master the basics first, then move on to the more advanced parts under your guidance.”

Her eyes softened slightly.

“And when I think they're ready to move toward the next stage, I'll personally guide them from time to time.”

She glanced toward Sarissa.

“So until then, I think it's best that you handle them.”

“As you wish, Lady Elfaria.”

And so their usual morning work continued.

One topic.

Then another.

Training schedules.

Assignments.

Faction matters.

Meetings.

Various responsibilities that came with maintaining one of the most important magical factions in the tower.

It was the kind of conversation that could continue endlessly.

Until—

“So, regarding this afternoon's meeting, Lady Elfaria…”

Sarissa shuffled through the documents in her hands.

She pulled one particular sheet from the pile and prepared to read through it and show it to her Magia Vander.

But—

Elfaria wasn't looking at her anymore.

Her gaze had drifted toward the window.

The morning sky stretched beyond the glass.

The tower had already begun to wake.

Across the various factions, people would be starting their usual routines by now.

Some would be practicing magic.

Some would be working.

Others would already be preparing for the day's assignments.

And somewhere out there…

He must have started his day too.

Her thoughts slowly drifted away from the room.

Toward the person who occupied the most important place in her heart.

Has Will woken up by now?

She stared through the window.

Has he finished breakfast?

A small crease formed between her brows.

Or did he just hurry off to training again while barely eating anything?

Her thoughts continued.

Is the Thunder Faction putting too much pressure on him?

Is he all right?

And then—

Zeo isn't exactly the kind of person who takes it easy when it comes to training or battle…

The more she thought about it, the more questions came.

She knew Will.

She knew how stubborn he could be.

If he thought he had to push himself, he would.

Even if it meant exhausting himself.

Even if it meant ignoring his own limits.

Her expression slowly became one of quiet concern.

It almost looked like the worry of a mother thinking about her child who had just gone somewhere far away for the first time.

But the person she was worrying about wasn't a child.

He was the boy she loved.

Her most precious person.

The one she had spent so many years waiting for.

And now that he was closer than ever before, he was somehow still beyond her reach.

She had spent so long watching him from the tower.

She had always been able to keep an eye on him from afar.

But now that he was with the Thunder Faction, even that had become difficult.

Is he doing all right…?

She could only worry.

She could only pray that he was safe.

And sometimes, she couldn't help but regret the opportunity that had slipped away from her—or perhaps the opportunity she had lost because of her own bad luck.

If only she could do something.

If only she could be there.

But she couldn't.

So she could only worry about him from here.

“Lady Elfaria…”

Sarissa's voice continued in the background.

Elfaria didn't hear it.

Her mind was still somewhere else.

Somewhere far from the tower.

With Will.

Then—

“Lady Elfaria, are you listening to me?”

The words finally reached her.

Elfaria blinked.

For a moment, she seemed to return from somewhere far away.

Then she gave a small, slightly embarrassed chuckle.

“Sorry, Sarissa. I was just thinking about something…”

She turned her head toward her adjutant.

“So, where were we again?”

Sarissa stared at her.

A faintly annoyed expression appeared on her face.

“If you have enough time to spend thinking about Will Serfort, then perhaps you have enough time to listen to me as well.”

“Eh…?”

Elfaria froze.

Her cheeks immediately turned a faint shade of red.

She had been caught completely off guard.

Sarissa's lips curved ever so slightly.

She had clearly hit the mark.

“We were discussing the meeting we have this afternoon.”

Elfaria quickly regained some of her saintly composure and straightened slightly in her chair.

“A meeting?”

“Yes.”

Sarissa glanced down at the document in her hands.

“We've received a request from several high-ranking mages from Samios. They will be arriving at the tower this afternoon, and we are expected to attend.”

Elfaria's expression changed.

“Samios…?”

She thought for a moment.

Then her eyebrows rose.

“Well, Lord Aaron isn't available at the time.”

Her tone became slightly mocking.

“So wouldn't that mean it falls under that fire tyrant who always acts like he's the so-called leader?”

Sarissa gave a small sigh.

“As usual, when Lord Aaron-sama is unavailable, Carriott-sama will temporarily take the role of leader.”

She turned another page.

“But this meeting appears to concern something important.”

Her expression became more serious.

“So one faction alone cannot decide what to do. At least two factions need to approve the result or any future decisions made based on this meeting.”

She looked toward Elfaria.

“That is why they've requested that we attend as well.”

“In other words…”

Elfaria sighed.

“Me.”

“Yes, Lady Elfaria.”

Elfaria leaned back slightly.

Her eyes once again drifted toward the window.

Samios.

A mage coming all the way to the tower.

And now, of all times.

The tower was already in a terrible state.

The threat of a traitor was spreading.

There were too many uncertainties surrounding everything.

This isn't just an ordinary meeting.

Her expression became thoughtful.

There's more to this.

Perhaps the meeting would reveal something.

Perhaps it wouldn't.

But either way, there was no reason to ignore it.

“Lady Elfaria?”

Sarissa's voice pulled her back once again.

“So what should we do now, Lady Elfaria?”

Sarissa waited for her Magia Vander's decision.

Elfaria was silent for a moment.

Then she spoke.

“The tower isn't exactly in its best condition right now.”

Her gaze remained fixed on the window.

“And if this really is something important, there might be some information we can gain from it.”

She finally turned toward Sarissa.

“So I think it's better that we attend.”

She paused.

“It's this afternoon, right, Sarissa?”

“Yes, Lady Elfaria.”

Sarissa nodded.

“The mage should arrive around that time.”

“I see…”

Elfaria let out another quiet sigh.

Her entire day's schedule was now set.

Training.

Faction affairs.

The meeting.

And countless other responsibilities waiting somewhere beyond that.

It would probably be another exhausting day.

But she had already prepared herself mentally.

She was the Ice Magia Vander.

There were things only she could do.

So she would do them.

Together with the people who stood beside her.

Together with the people who depended on her.

And somewhere, far from this room, there was someone else doing his best as well.

Elfaria lowered her gaze for a moment.

Then, inside her heart, she quietly whispered—

Let's do our best together, Will.

Morning gradually gave way to afternoon.

After breakfast, Elfaria and her adjutant had immersed themselves in their respective duties.

Or perhaps it would be more accurate to say that Sarissa had spent the better part of the morning making sure her Magia Vander actually did hers.

Still, today had gone surprisingly well.

Once Sarissa managed to push Elfaria past her usual tendency to avoid unnecessary work, the Ice Magia Vander became completely absorbed in it.

Documents were read.

Schedules were reviewed.

Orders were given.

Reports were examined.

And before either of them realized it, the morning had slipped away.

Now—

It was afternoon.

The time for the meeting was approaching.

Having completed the majority of their morning duties, the two were finally ready to attend.

Far above the lower floors of Mercedes Caulis, an old man with white hair and a neatly trimmed white beard walked through one of the Tower's grand corridors.

A rounded cap sat atop his head, and he wore a dark-gray suit with lighter gray accents.

His appearance was that of an old, highly educated gentleman—perhaps a scholar, perhaps a businessman, or perhaps someone accustomed to sitting across a table from people far more powerful than himself.

Two people followed closely behind him.

The old man continued walking until he reached a large set of doors.

A gatekeeper standing nearby examined the group, confirmed their identities, and raised a hand.

Magic flowed through the doorway.

Vmmm…

The enormous doors slowly opened inward.

Beyond them was a vast chamber.

The room was decorated with ancient patterns and elaborate designs, the walls carrying symbols associated with the various factions of the Tower. Banners hung proudly throughout the chamber, each representing one of the great factions.

At the far end stood five elevated thrones.

Two on either side.

And one larger throne positioned at the center.

The five seats stood slightly above the floor, their backs rising high behind them, each bearing the emblem of its respective faction.

This was the meeting chamber of the Magia Vander.

A place where the five people standing at the pinnacle of the magical world gathered whenever matters concerning the Tower demanded their attention.

The old man walked toward the center of the room.

His two assistants followed behind.

They stopped.

And waited.

For a few moments, nothing happened.

Then—

THUD.

A burst of ice suddenly manifested beside the rightmost throne.

At almost the same moment—

FWOOSH!

A flare of fire erupted around the throne on the left.

The two elements vanished almost as quickly as they had appeared.

And the figures who had arrived with them were already seated.

On the rightmost throne sat a beautiful very young girl with long, smooth blue hair.

She wore an elegant white robe decorated with golden details, giving her the appearance of a saint—or perhaps a goddess carved from ice.

She sat sideways upon the throne.

Her back rested against its left side while her legs were curved comfortably toward her upper body, both hands resting upon the seat.

Her eyes remained closed.

She didn't look particularly interested in the meeting.

Yet despite her relaxed posture, the atmosphere around her was impossible to ignore.

Her presence alone was overwhelming.

On the second throne to the left sat a man who appeared to be in his mid-twenties.

His dark-red hair framed a sharp, mature face.

One leg rested over the other, while his hands were placed together over his upper leg.

His posture carried the quiet confidence of someone accustomed to leading others.

The two figures were the Ice Magia Vander, Elfaria Albis Serfort—

and the Fire Magia Vander, Cariott Incindia Wiseman.

The old man immediately removed his cap.

He held it against his chest and bowed deeply.

His two assistants followed his example.

The old man slowly raised his head.

His name was Bruno.

A High Mage of Mercedes Caulis.

And an information broker.

Unlike ordinary High Mages whose duties were tied to a specific branch of magic or faction, Bruno had devoted much of his life to something considerably less straightforward—

information.

He traveled.

He listened.

He observed.

He collected.

Rumors, reports, unusual incidents, political movements, disturbances in distant regions—nothing was too insignificant to escape his attention.

Over the years, that habit had earned him an unusual reputation throughout the Tower.

Bruno was one of the people who could tell Mercedes Caulis what was happening beyond its walls.

And that was precisely why his unexpected appearance was never something to take lightly.

If Bruno had come personally, then there were usually only two possibilities.

He had found something important enough that the Tower needed to know.

Or—

he had discovered something bad enough that the Tower needed to know.

Bruno bowed again.

“I once again ask for your forgiveness, Great Mage Cariott-sama, Great Mage Elfaria-sama, for coming here on such short notice and taking up your precious time.”

His expression remained polite.

“But there is something very important happening that I believe our Magia Vander—and the Tower itself—should know about.”

He paused.

Then continued.

“As you know, I spend much of my time traveling throughout the world and gathering information.”

His voice carried the calm confidence of someone who had spent decades doing exactly that.

“And during those travels, I've learned something.”

He raised one finger slightly.

“The smallest irregularities are often the most important.”

His eyes narrowed.

“Most people overlook them. They see one strange incident and dismiss it as coincidence. Another unusual report appears somewhere else, and they forget about it.”

He smiled faintly.

“But I don't.”

He continued speaking, carefully building his explanation.

“When I gather those little pieces of information and place them together, one after another, they often reveal a much larger picture.”

A slight smile appeared beneath his beard.

“And, if I may say so myself, my conclusions have proven remarkably accurate more often than not. It's not as though I'm flattering myself, of course…”

“I don't think you came all the way here from another region just to tell us about your accomplishments, Mr. Information Broker.”

Elfaria's voice cut through his speech.

She hadn't opened her eyes.

She hadn't even changed her posture.

“Without wasting our time, just move to the main point”

Silence.

Bruno stopped mid-sentence.

For a moment, he simply looked toward the girl seated on the throne.

Then he gave a small bow.

“My apologies.”

There was no point continuing.

Not with her.

Bruno straightened.

“I was staying in Samios for quite some time.”

He paused.

Then placed his rounded hat back upon his head.

“There, I noticed something unusual.”

His expression became more serious.

“Monsters have recently begun appearing in places where such incidents were previously unheard of.”

A brief pause.

He looked toward the two Magia Vander.

“And there is something else.”

He placed both hands behind his back.

“Mages who normally patrol those areas have also begun disappearing.”

Another pause.

The room became quieter.

“There are other abnormalities happening in samios and its tower—Radels Sebal.”

His voice remained surprisingly monotone.

“However, in order to prevent panic among the residents of Samios, the incidents have been kept hidden.”

He finally looked directly toward Elfaria and Cariott.

“And considering how closely Samios is connected to Regarden, I believe the Tower should be aware of what is happening.”

He finished.

Silence followed.

Neither Magia Vander immediately answered.

Cariott's expression became thoughtful.

Elfaria remained motionless.

For several seconds, the only sound in the chamber was the faint movement of Bruno's clothing.

Finally—

“Hm.”

Cariott leaned back slightly.

“Unusual monster sightings, combined with mages going missing…”

A faint smile touched his lips.

“Quite an interesting situation we've got on our hands.”

His gaze shifted toward Elfaria.

“So, what do you think, Elfaria?”

He had deliberately thrown the entire matter toward her.

Elfaria remained silent for a moment.

Then she answered without opening her eyes.

“This isn't something we need to concern ourselves with right now.”

Bruno's expression stiffened slightly.

“There is already too much happening within the Tower following Terminalia and the current traitor threat.”

Elfaria's voice remained calm.

“If this were truly something serious enough to require our intervention, the High Mages of Samios should have already officially contacted us.”

She paused.

“But they haven't.”

Her tone was almost indifferent.

“So perhaps the situation isn't as threatening as it appears.”

Her fingers rested lightly against the arm of the throne.

“Or perhaps the damage has already been done, and there isn't much we can do about it at this point.”

Elfaria finally opened her eyes slightly.

“Right now, our manpower is already stretched thin.”

Her gaze remained calm.

“We have more than enough problems here in Mercedes Caulis.”

She closed her eyes again.

“So I don't think we should throw another burden onto ourselves.”

“We should wait.”

Her voice became slightly firmer.

“When the situation in the Tower settles down, we can investigate Samios properly.”

Bruno said nothing.

But Cariott did.

He had been listening carefully.

From the outside, it would be easy to misunderstand Elfaria.

Some might call her lazy.

Others might say she was childish, disinterested, or simply too young to shoulder the responsibilities of a Magia Vander.

After all, she rarely looked eager to take on additional work.

But the people who actually knew her understood something completely different.

Elfaria wasn't lazy because she lacked ability.

She was lazy because she knew exactly how much ability she possessed—and exactly how much work would be dumped onto her shoulders if she showed it too often.

Beneath that seemingly frivolous personality was an extraordinary mind.

Her talent was obvious.

Her instincts were sharper still.

She could often see through a situation almost immediately, noticing connections that others needed considerably more time to recognize.

And beneath her childish behavior was something even more dangerous—

a natural instinct for leadership.

She simply preferred not to display it unless necessary.

Cariott knew this better than most.

She was perhaps the closest among the other Magia Vander to matching him in terms of intellectual ability, intuition, and political understanding.

Zeo possessed overwhelming strength and terrifying instincts, but patience and careful consideration about someone were not exactly his greatest virtues.

The Fairy Faction was another matter entirely. Their pride made involving them in the problems of other mages troublesome at best.

Which left Elfaria.

She might appear uninterested.

She might even look too young for such matters.

But when the situation demanded it, she was one of the most reliable people in the Tower.

And Cariott had deliberately given her this matter.

Partly because he wanted to see what conclusion she would reach.

And partly because, if she chose to take responsibility for it, some of the burden would no longer rest entirely on his shoulders.

As expected—

She had seen straight through it.

Bruno bowed his head.

“You are right, Great Mage Elfaria.”

Then—

“But…”

He raised his head again.

“Samios is an important part of our world.”

His tone became more formal.

“Even if it has become something of a dumping ground for mages who failed to meet the expectations placed upon them, or those who lacked the talent or responsibility expected of them, there are still many powerful mages there.”

He bowed slightly.

“So I must insist, Great Mage Elfaria-sama.”

The old man's expression remained gentle.

He hadn't simply grown old.

He had survived long enough to learn exactly how to approach people of authority.

When to bow.

When to smile.

When to flatter.

And when to push.

He believed he had found the right opening.

When Elfie trapped Zeo in El Ten: Myrdas Fridoliete, escaping from it apparently required either enough concentration/power to break through it or an even greater amount of force. At that moment, it seemed that neither Zeo nor Ellnor could muster enough power to escape.

But what I find even more fascinating is what Elfie did afterward.

Elfaria is generally portrayed as a mage who specializes in long-range combat. Like most conventional mages, she or mages tends to fight from a distance rather than engage in direct physical combat. Zeo is an obvious exception because he specifically learned close-combat techniques from the dwarves, while Lihanna also has her family's secret art. But Elfaria has never really been portrayed as a close-range fighter.

So how the hell was Elfie able to punch Zeo with her bare hand hard enough to shatter Myrdas Fridoliete itself which is kind of unbreakable?

That's the crazy part.

The iceberg was powerful enough that escaping it apparently required a considerable or greater amount of power. Yet Elfaria simply punched through it with her bare fist. The impact was strong enough to send Zeo flying an enormous distance, and he was left severely injured, with visible injuries extending from his head down through his chest and abdomen.

And as far as I remember, we haven't actually been shown a clearly established magic spell that simply boosts a mage's physical strength to this degree.

So where did that physical power come from?

Is Elfaria secretly using some kind of physical enhancement/reinforcement magic that hasn't been properly explained yet or she created some new spells for it?

Because that doesn't look like an ordinary punch.

If the ice required enormous power to break and Elfaria was able to destroy it with her bare fist, while simultaneously hitting Zeo hard enough to send him flying and severely injure him, then Elfaria's physical strength has to be ridiculously high.

What's even more interesting is that Zeo is specifically one of the characters known for close-combat ability, while Elfaria is primarily a long-range mage. Yet she was still capable of physically overpowering him in this situation.

Obviously, we shouldn't claim that Elfaria is confirmed to have a physical-strength enhancement spell unless the story explicitly says so. But the feat itself is undeniable.

It makes me wonder if Elfaria's magical power somehow enhances her physical abilities, or if she has developed some kind of reinforcement technique that we simply haven't been introduced to yet.

Because if Elfaria can casually throw a punch like THAT, then her close-range combat ability might be another completely unexplored aspect of her power.

There has been a lot of misinformation and over-interpretation circulating about Colette Loire’s power level, especially after the release of the prequel novel Grimoire Acta 2: The Earth Princess and recent manga chapters. Some claim she is equal to (or even stronger than) Elfaria Albis Serfort, or that her magic sword with Will would surpass Albis Wis. This post aims to correct those claims using the novel, manga, and the author’s own statements, while remaining as neutral and factual as possible.

1. The Common Misreading of the Prequel

In The Recent Prequel, Will (who has watched Elfaria’s genius from close for years) notes that young Colette’s raw magical output seemed comparable to young Elfaria’s at around the same age (roughly 10 years old). Many readers take this single line and conclude “Colette = Elfaria in power.” That is incorrect.Raw magical power (魔力出力) is only one aspect of a mage’s overall strength. Other critical factors include:

• Battle IQ and combat experience
• Versatility and number of usable spells
• Magical technique and refinement
• Casting speed
• Control and precision
• Original spell creation
• Synergy with allies or equipment

The profile of Aaron Masterias Oldking (Masterious Noah), the Light Emperor and strongest of the Magia Vender, explicitly states he possesses:

>greater destructive power than Zeo, greater intellect than Carriot, greater magic power than Ellonor, and greater magical technique than Elfaria — a living legend.

This official description shows that even among the Magia Vende, each member excels in different areas. Zeo specializes in destructive power, Ellonor in pure magical quantity, Elfaria in technique, etc. No single metric decides overall strength.When comparing 10-year-old Colette and 10-year-old Elfaria, the novel only places them on similar footing in raw output. In every other aspects , Elfaria no diff Colette as mentioned in same novel.

2. Young Elfaria’s Position and Later Growth

That same 10-year-old Elfaria was described as the weakest Magia Vender at the time of her appointment and could only hold against Cariott for about five minutes. Since then she has:

• Defeated Ellonor (who has higher pure magical power than her)
• Fought Zeo (the Praxis King) on equal footing despite disadvantages
• Created her original twelve ice secrets (El Glass Fos / エル・グラス・フロース)
• Become one of the top two Magia Vender (often considered tied with Zeo as second strongest)

Even while remaining unmotivated and lazy in daily life, her passive growth has been enormous. This is important context when comparing current versions of the two characters.

3. The Author’s Official Statement on Magic Swords

Author Fujino Omori posted the following on X (May 2026):

This was a reply to a fan asking whether any magic sword has higher output than the one formed with Elfaria. Key points from the author’s related explanations:

• There are some magic swords with higher pure output than Albis Wis.
• However, Albis Wis remains the strongest Will can currently use because of maximum synergy and compatibility with Elfaria which exceeds infinity (described as “◎ exceeding Ω / synergy MAX”).
• The strength of a magic sword = output + synergy/compatibility + Some non-mentioned aspects.

The way the author phrases it, especially with the playful “ワンチャン” (one-chance/slim chance) wording and the angel emoji, likely suggests they’re jokingly saying that if it were purely a raw-output showdown, Colette’s sword might have a chance. Based on the playful phrasing and emoji, it can interpret that chance as being roughly 3/10 to 4/10 at best. It doesn’t imply that Colette’s sword is equal or superior overall—just that, in a pure output comparison, the author is playfully giving it a small possibility of competing.

4. Why Colette’s Current Raw Output Is Likely Lower

For the past six years, a portion of Colette’s magical power—up to a certain threshold—has been continuously transferred externally to Will through the Blood Sealing Bracelet (封血のブレスレット). In other words, Colette has spent these years continuously having her excess magical power drained away rather than simply retaining and developing all of it within herself.

It is possible that 10-year-old Colette had roughly the same level of raw magical power as Elfaria, which may be the one and only aspect in which Colette could potentially match her. However, in the current timeline, Elfaria may have surpassed Colette even in raw magical power.

The reason is the difference in their development over these six years. Colette has had part of her magical power continuously transferred away through the bracelet, while Elfaria—despite being lazy, unmotivated, and not particularly dedicated to training—has continued to grow naturally and passively. We can see this progression from her being able to endure for only around five minutes against Carriot in the past, to eventually defeating Ellonor, who possesses greater magical power than Elfaria, and later fighting the King of Praxis, Zeo, on relatively equal footing.

And, if Colette and Elfaria currently possessed exactly the same level of raw magical power, then their respective swords, when wielded by Will, should theoretically have a similar level of potential in a pure-output showdown. In that scenario, there would be no obvious reason for one sword to have a fundamentally different chance purely because of raw magical power.

However, the author's wording is important here. The use of 「ワンチャン」 (wanchan), meaning something like “there’s a slim chance,” “there’s a small possibility,” or “maybe, just maybe,” combined with the playful 😇 emoji, makes the statement sound deliberately lighthearted rather than like a serious claim that Colette's sword is equal to Elfaria's.

So the implication could be that Colette's sword might have a chance if the comparison is restricted purely to raw magical output, but that chance is relatively small—perhaps around 3/10 to 4/10 at best. This also fits the possibility that while 10-year-old Colette may have been comparable to Elfaria in raw magical power, current Elfaria has naturally continued to grow over the intervening years while Colette has had a portion of her power continuously transferred away.

In that interpretation, the author's 「ワンチャン」 is not saying “Colette's sword is equal to Elfaria's” or “Colette's sword is superior.” Rather, it playfully suggests that Colette's sword still has a small possibility of competing in a pure-output ( Raw magical power inputing ) comparison, while Elfaria is likely ahead because she has outgrown Colette in raw magical power by the current timeline.

5. Why the Tower Never Scouted Colette as a Magia Vander Candidate

Some people argue that Colette was already as strong as a Magia Vander, but if that were truly the case, it raises an important question: why did the Tower never seriously scout or recruit her as a Magia Vander candidate when they were in desperate need of powerful candidates?

When Elfaria had not yet entered the picture, the situation was particularly favorable for Colette to be considered. The previous Albis Vina was already approaching the end of her life due to old age, meaning the Ice Faction was facing a serious succession problem. The faction needed a new Magia Vander, and Sarissa was ultimately considered as the internal candidate.

At the same time, Colette's existence and abilities were not some hidden secret. She had repeatedly lost control at the academy and gone on rampages, openly displaying extremely powerful large-scale Earth magic. She demonstrated this power without having Blood Sealing Bracelet. Academy personnel and Tower mages were therefore aware of her potential as watcher from tower continuously keep eye on acadmy students.

This is especially important because, as Carriot explained that they have to continuously prove themselves, and if someone fails to meet the necessary standard, another person can rise in their place. In other words, the position requires much more than simply having a massive amount of mana.

If Colette were truly Magia Vander-level overall, the Earth Faction would have had a strong reason to consider her, especially during a period when the Tower was actively concerned with securing powerful successors. Yet they did not make her their candidate. Instead, Sarissa became the candidate, while Colette was never seriously presented as someone being groomed for the Magia Vander position.

The contrast becomes even clearer when Elfaria appears. Once the Tower recognized Elfaria's extraordinary potential, the tower became extremely desperate to obtain her. They went as far as kidnapping her, beating her, and attempting to force her into becoming Magia Vander. This shows just how aggressively the Tower could pursue someone when they genuinely believed that person possessed the qualities necessary to become a Magia Vander.

Yet Colette, despite not hiding her power at all and even repeatedly going on destructive rampages, never received that same treatment as a potential Magia Vander candidate. The Tower's only notable interest in her was related more to using her as a test subject, rather than seriously considering her for the Magia Vander position—and, ultimately, Elfaria's actions helped save Colette from that fate.

This strongly suggests that Colette's enormous raw magical power was not enough by itself to make her Magia Vander-level. Even if her raw magical power at one point was comparable to Elfaria's, raw output is only one component of overall strength. A Magia Vander needs things such as control, versatility, technique, combat ability, consistency, reliability, and the ability to properly utilize that enormous magical power.

Colette's problem was that, despite possessing exceptional raw power, she had poor control and a much more limited and less refined spell repertoire. Her frequent loss of control actually demonstrates this weakness rather than proving that she was already a complete Magia Vander-level combatant.

This also explains why Elfaria's case was different. Elfaria was not merely powerful; despite her personality and lack of motivation, she continued to demonstrate extraordinary growth and eventually showed the ability to actually control, utilize, and apply her power at the level expected of a Magia Vander. That is why the Tower became desperate to obtain her, whereas Colette was never treated as the same kind of candidate.

6. Current Combat Capabilities

Colette — Known abilities

• High-output Earth magic, primarily suited toward defense and large-scale constructs.
• Loire Sique (ロワール・シーク) — the secret art of the Loire bloodline.
• Giant rock-arm / golem-hand summoning.
• In Chapter 51, Colette unlocks her first limiter and uses Grantine Ibratia, as shown in the manga panels.

However, the giant World Golem appears to be a phenomenon connected to the Loire bloodline and its relationship with the world itself, rather than simply being a normal personal spell that Colette can freely control at will. Therefore, we cannot say it's spell which Colette can use freely or not.

Colette's biggest advantage in a direct fight would be her enormous raw magical output. Removing the Blood Sealing Bracelet would theoretically allow her to put substantially more magical power into her attacks than she normally can.

The important limitation, however, is how that power is actually applied. Colette's demonstrated magic is heavily centered around Earth magic, which is primarily defensive, while her most powerful demonstrated physical constructs—such as the giant golem arms—require her attack to actually reach the opponent.

7. Hypothetical 1v1: Current Elfaria vs. Current Colette Without the Bracelet

Some argue that Colette could defeat Elfaria in a 1v1 if the Blood Sealing Bracelet were removed. However, even granting Colette her full unrestricted output, Elfaria still appears to have the overall advantage.

The first issue is that raw magical power does not automatically determine the winner. Colette may potentially possess enormous output, but Elfaria has repeatedly demonstrated that she can defeat opponents whose raw magical power is greater than her own. The clearest example is Ellonor, who possessed greater magical power than Elfaria, yet Elfaria was still able to defeat her.

Therefore, even if we hypothetically granted Colette greater raw magical power than Elfaria, that alone would not establish that Colette could defeat her.

In fact, based on the earlier points, Colette may not even have that raw-power advantage in the current timeline. If Elfaria has naturally continued growing for the past six years while Colette has continuously had a portion of her magical power transferred away through the Blood Sealing Bracelet, then current Elfaria may actually possess greater raw magical power as well.

More importantly, Elfaria has a much broader arsenal and significantly greater versatility.

Colette's giant golem-arm attacks are extremely powerful, but they fundamentally require her attack to reach the target physically. This creates a major problem against Elfaria because of her freezing techniques. Elfaria has demonstrated a freezing domain in which everything within its effective range—including magic itself—can be frozen, meaning that getting close to Elfaria is not necessarily an advantage for Colette. It can actually become a major liability.

Elfaria also has multiple ways of dealing with Colette's defensive Earth magic. For example, if Colette creates a large Earth wall—such as her roughly six-foot defensive barrier—Elfaria does not necessarily need to physically approach it. She can potentially destroy the barrier with her bullet-type ice magic, or create her own defensive ice structures such as Fraull to counter or bypass Colette's defenses.

And this is only considering a fraction of Elfaria's arsenal. She possesses:

• Complete mastery of Ice and Water magic.
• Illusion magic.
• Exceptional casting speed.
• The twelve original Ice Secrets (El Glass Fos).
• Advanced and Prime-level techniques.
• Extremely high technical ability and versatility.
• A freezing domain capable of affecting both opponents and magic.
• Proven combat experience against opponents with greater raw magical and destructive power.

Colette, meanwhile, has demonstrated tremendous destructive potential but a considerably narrower and less refined combat toolkit.

So even in the most favorable hypothetical for Colette—removing the bracelet and allowing her to use her full Power, or even temporarily assuming that her raw magical power exceeds Elfaria's—Elfaria still has a clear path to victory because her advantages in speed, technique, versatility, range, battlefield control, and experience allow her to overcome a raw-power disadvantage.

And if we instead use the earlier argument that current Elfaria has likely surpassed Colette in raw magical power as well, then the gap becomes even more pronounced.

Conclusion

A bracelet-less Colette should absolutely not be underestimated. Her unrestricted output could be dramatically higher than what she normally displays, and her Loire abilities and giant constructs give her genuine destructive potential.

However, “higher raw output” does not automatically mean “wins the 1v1.” Elfaria has already demonstrated that she can overcome opponents with greater magical power or greater advantages, while possessing a vastly broader and more sophisticated arsenal.

Therefore, based on the abilities currently shown, Current Elfaria should defeat Current Colette without the Blood Sealing Bracelet, with the difficulty plausibly ranging from no-diff to mid-diff, depending on how seriously Elfaria approaches the fight and how much of Colette's unrestricted power she is able to bring to bear.

The strongest argument for Colette is her raw output. The strongest argument for Elfaria is that she has repeatedly demonstrated that raw output alone is not enough to overcome her.

Colette Loire is an exceptional prodigy of the Loire bloodline (descendants of a former Magia Vende / Sage lineage). Without the bracelet she is easily one of the strongest students in the academy’s recent history and has clear future Magia Vende potential for the Earth Faction. She is not, however, on the same overall level as current Elfaria. The only metric in which young Colette was described as comparable was raw magical output. In every other category — and almost certainly in current pure output as well — Elfaria holds a clear big lead. Claims that Colette is equal to or stronger than Elfaria, or that her magic sword with Will surpasses Albis Wis, are not supported by the novel, the manga, or the author’s statements.Colette remains an extremely strong and important character. She simply should not be inflated beyond what the source material actually shows.

At the same time, it is important to remember that Will's companions have generally been receiving their own power-ups and developments: Lihanna gained the Amulet, Julius gained the ability to use Ars Weiss, Sion developed the ability to modify his Magical Fire Guardian, Colette has exceptional raw magical power, and Wignall may have further development connected to his Fantasy Magic. Colette should not be dismissed or treated as weak—she is clearly one of the most exceptional members of Will's group and may have tremendous future potential but it's unlikely that she will ever match or surpass elfaria as she is Wills one and only ultimate wand and key to unlock heaven together Will and as we traced down Colettes complete origin we get to know her true power but on other hand we don't know a single thing about Elfaria or volume of her true potential , she gained all those power which might be a tiny fraction of her actual potential which we will know when he get to know her origin and link with Will as she referred to be next potential mage queen. Colette is one of the potentially strongest character and a exceptional Earth linage prodigy but if we compare her to someone who is once in generation prodigy reached unbelievable milestones it's realistic she not gonna match that level but this doesn't mean Colette is an weak character , if we don't compare her to current magia vander, she's academy's one of the strongest student or even from there world.

About Colette’s Power Control

A common misconception is that Colette “cannot control her power.” This is not accurate. Colette can control her own earth magic and Loire Sique (ロワール・シーク) perfectly well. In the prequel novel we see her casually demonstrate high-output spells in class — creating massive earth barriers that completely destroy training golems — without any loss of control. She uses her magic precisely when she wants to. What she cannot control is the World Golem (Grantine Igrandia / Earth Mother Queen’s World Spell Birth – Grantine Ars Magna).This Golem is not Colette’s personal spell. It is an independent existence created 500 years ago by the Loire progenitor (under the order of Witch Queen Mercedes, and connected to the Earth Sage Ruha) as a ultimate defensive weapon against the Celestial Hosts. The spell was engraved into the Loire bloodline, so every female descendant becomes a potential vessel. When a Loire woman’s magical power reaches a certain threshold, the Golem treats her as a suitable core and tries to absorb her. Colette’s deep depression and negative emotions act as fuel that makes the Golem more aggressive and prone to rampaging. That is why the automatic giant rock arms appear and why large-scale incidents happen. The bracelet she wears is not a simple power-sealing bracelet that locks her magic inside her body. It is a magic-transfer / Blood Sealing Bracelet. It continuously drains her excess magical power to an external receiver (Will) so that her total magic never reaches the critical “vessel” threshold that would fully activate the World Golem. As long as the bracelet is working, the Golem cannot recognize her as a complete core. In short:

• Colette controls her own magic without problem.
• She cannot control the independent World Golem that was created long before she was born.
• The bracelet prevents her power from reaching the level that summons/activates that Golem by transferring the excess elsewhere.

We see her walking around the academy normally and freely demonstrating high-level earth magic in class or training whenever she needs to. Those emotions cause the automatic giant rock arms and other manifestations of the Golem to go out of control.The World Golem is an independent existence that was created to use Loire women as vessels. I have readed LN and Watched anime and in both they have perfect matching design but what's wrong with manga like in first glance its like seeing some different characters , And what's wrong with Kuze here , he is not Kuze.

Why there such big character design mismatch like even alya look very different from other sources and kuze is completely different person here , Why didn't they fix it?
