So this might be a really off the wall conspiracy theory question. I’m not on the module I’m suspicious of, but a friend of mine is, and she’s not being treated well at all. Her friend was on it last year, and apparently was in her words forced out. I’ve gotten word through the grapevine that this engine isn’t a very nice place for women to be. I’m not too invested, but I care about my friend, and that kind of behavior just sucks.
I’m wondering if there’s a way for someone to look up the rosters of certain modules going back a few years? My tin foil hat brain is thinking maybe dispatch keeps their resource orders which would have crew manifests. I’d like to see if there’s a pattern of women being on the manifests for early season fires and then no longer on the manifests for later season fires. I understand there are lots of fallouts in firefighting, but if the fallouts are only women vs some men and some women, it’s something I’d like to see with my own eyes. Maybe a FOIA request?
At least it’s something to keep me occupied on bs prepo assignments.
I’m moving crews and it’s a weekend. A new crew would like to take me with them on an assignment, but no one is in the office to release me in IQCS so I can be picked up. I don’t want to miss this opportunity. Does anyone have any helpful insight?
This might be a really lame post. But I lost my job and then got a new job an hour later. My head is all kinds of messed up. I’m in this really bad surface level depression where I’m just in vertigo and not processing what in the heck just happened. I usually keep my apartment immaculately clean but having to move an entire office back into my home at a moments notice has wrecked my space. Feels like someone just came in ripped my entire life up and left the broken pieces on the floor. I just can’t clean it. I need some help. Is there a house cleaning service that can come in and just organize while I point, drink tea, and try to feel again?
