A moment in the any of the games you felt dumb for not figuring out sooner or you had to look up?

Currently, going through my first playthrough of DS2. A moment I just had was how easy it is to enter Heide’s tower of flame. I was getting stuck of what else to do in the game and so instead of making myself more miserable I looked it up. Gave myself the biggest sigh that all I had to do was the simplest thing ever. Another moment I had but didn’t feel dumb was the way you reveal hidden walls. Instead of hitting or rolling you have to press A. Threw me off cause I played the other titles and I’m used to rolling and hitting everything. What’s yall moment that made you feel that way? I know I have so many more moments that was just the most recent

How difficult was Khazan for you? What was your wall?

Just finished my first playthrough. I’ve played all the Fromsoft games like Sekiro, Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Elden Ring. I played this playthrough on the default setting going into it blind. Absolutely loved the combat. Definitely top tier in any soulslike game. Something Im used to with these games is dying a lot. So when I didn’t die often or at all I was very surprised. I would say I was playing super careful through the levels. I could see traps coming miles away.

Even in the boss fights I was surprised I got most of them on my first or second attempt. Trokka, Ozma, and Skalpel took me over 10 or 20 attempts. I’m far being amazing at these games. I was just surprised I was able to get through the game without dying so much. Still enjoyed the game tremendously.

Just wanted to know y’all’s experience on the first playthrough? Especially for any souls vets out there. Did you find this game extremely hard or did you breeze through it?

Edit: so sounds like the intend of the difficulty is to play it on expert to get the real experience. Then yeah my ass would’ve been grass for most of the game lmao thanks y’all for the responses
