Any other guitarists lose song ideas while noodling? How do you actually capture them?

You're playing a cover, messing around between runs, and something clicks. A chord change, a rhythm, something that actually sounds like yours. And then it's gone.

Voice memos help but they're useless a week later; no context, no way to break down what you were actually playing.

I've been thinking about this problem a lot and started building something to solve it. I wanted to get a pulse from people here. How do you actually handle this? Do you have a system that works? Or does the idea just die?
