Elegant Werewolf Replacer Update!

Heya, mod author here! I recently did a big update for my Elegant Werewolf Replacer that includes a patch which will hopefully fix some conflicts people were encountering with the Player Only module. ALSO! New stuff! New fur pattern and new meshes!

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/93336

And if you're new to the mod, then you're in luck! I redid the FOMODs entirely from the ground up to be easier to understand and less confusing for the average person, as I have gotten some reports that it was a bit complicated beforehand. Apologies for that!

There's more stuff I want to do for the mod in the future, but wrangling this mod is always a pretty big task. Yet for me it's always worth it!

Lego Minifig Suave Spector!

I got this commissioned from SaberScorpion https://saber-scorpion.com/

And oh my gosh he looks amazing, there's so much detail, I love him! It's a UV printed minifig, and this little fancy Spector shall observe my Moon Knight gameplay from my desk haha, and will be admired for good luck~

Which Teamup do you guys plan on using in S9?

(Messed up how long the poll lasts, sorry for the double post.)

Am curious what the fellow MK mains are thinking teamup wise

Personally I'll likely be using the dash, I love playing with my team and it seems like it'd be a useful escape tool for some more daring plays, or if my healers are being dove I can return to them quicker and try to help.

However, I have a feeling that the Blood Ankh will likely be more useful overall, from an objective standpoint. But the dash fits my playstyle better.

What does everyone else think?

It's still possible guys~

Been a long while since I got a Moon Knight MVP, but it's still possible! I know these stats might not be super impressive, but I was on Namor squid duty as well haha.

Marc: Now my fists are all slimy.

Anyway just a happy post from a QP flex player who mostly plays Tank or Heals but actually loves Moon Knight~ He's the only DPS I play, and his Suave Spector MVP is just so satisfyingly awesome.

I shall return to my healing and tanking duties now, apologies to everyone who met me in QP tonight haha.

How many fellow lady MK players are out there?

Heya! Hope this is okay to post, but I was just curious if Moon Knight here is mostly bearing a male audience or if maybe there's some women who play him too!

For the record, I'm a lady myself, and I know Rivals mostly has a male audience anyway, but not entirely!

I was also curious how that distribution looks in terms of WHY we play Moon Knight too! How many of us enjoy him as a character (even if not in Rivals, but in comics or the TV shows or whatnot) or if it's mostly for his kit/playstyle.

Sadly I ran out of poll options, so hopefully this suffices and covers most bases.

Maybe I'm Crazy, but MK feels okay

Edit: Okay maybe I take this back, last few days have been miserable.

I was sad about the nerfs at first, and obviously from a biased standpoint yeah I always want my favorite character to be good. But I legit only play him because I like the character, and I actually play as healers and tanks more naturally as I'm mostly a fill player. But Moon Knight is my personal 'if I could play anyone I want' choice, and is also my only DPS character I truly enjoy.

After the nerfs of 8.5, I'm still playing him, and honestly it pushed me to get better with him just as I was reaching Lord Status with him and something I'm experiencing is with his changes, I think it's better at least for me specifically to play more aggressively. With his damage nerfs on top of his already existing damage falloff, playing too far away or high up on a rooftop a mile away from your actual target just doesn't work anymore.

Luckily I wasn't super good at that anyway, so it didn't cripple my playstyle that much. I usually play more with my team, and take up close flanking angles or weave between attacking the squishies in the back or protecting my healers from dive with an ankh. My goal is to secure as many kills as possible with as little damage as possible, as it's very easy to get absurd damage numbers on MK but only actually get like 2-5 kills and it's like... Yeah you're just feeding healer ults at that point.

Anyway, I truly think these changes actually encourage us to embrace the character of Marc Spector a bit more. He's an aggressive fighter who doesn't fear pain, and when I started playing more aggressively going into Season 8.5, I've been doing much better and have basically nullified the effects of the nerfs in most situations.

Hardest part is of course still defending against Dive, which is now even harder, but that is our weakness so it's whatever. Everyone needs a counter, and Moon Knight has a terrible reputation because people don't counter him enough.

So my TLDR is basically: I advise folks who still want to play our favorite Moon Man to try playing more aggressively and closer to your targets, and practice how your primary works (how strafing can throw off your aim because of how the three darts work, for example) because hitting the ankh is too much damage loss. It's mostly good to catch escaping targets that broke LOS or if you cornered them with it.

I've seen quite a few Moon Knights since 8.5 and basically only one was really that scary (and he got MVP), and he was pretty aggressive. All the other ones I saw would play from 5 miles away trying to do the combo that doesn't work anymore, and then they swap off to Squirrel Girl or something. Meanwhile I've actually been fairly solid in all my MK matches, and still getting MVP regularly with him.

Don't despair, and don't give up! Show people that he does take more skill and aim than folks give him and his players credit for.

Solo Healed as Whitefox and won!

I get so tired of people saying White Fox isn't a main healer, she very much is. I actually NEVER solo healed a match before this either, and was sure we were toast but I didn't complain, I just wanted to see how it went. It was very stressful, yet also quite fun!

And yeah I double checked, they weren't bots, they all had careers and stuff.
