What’s your opinion about n Borax use?

Hi I’m a FTM to my rainbow baby and want to be as low tox as possible. Do you keep Borax in your household and do you use it for your baby’s laundry like their clothes and cloth diapers? I saw some new information that makes me wnat to stop using Borax but the cloth diaper subreddit was making me think I’m crazy and it’s fine to use. curious how other low tox and moderately granola moms think

EU heavily restricted Borax for everyday consumer and you cannot buy it in stores like the US due to its toxicity to pregnant women, kids and unborn babies.

PSA: Borax use and health risks

I recently found out Borax is *highly restricted for the everyday person and household use. only companies can get it commercially. this is because it is a high risk for pregnant women, babies, and nursing moms. also, even a teaspoon is accidentally ingested it is fatal for kids! I’ve used 2 boxes of Borax to softened my hard water for my cloth diapers and I have one left I’m giving away. I don’t feel comfortable if any residue of Borax is left on my baby’s cloth diapers( most sensitive and thinnest skin on baby) and if I or my kid accidentally get exposed to it and inhale it. just wanted to share because I wish I knew this. I’m switch to washing powder and calgon.

im not telling you not to use it. I just wanted to share this since I wish I had this information when I started cloth diapering journey.

I encourage you to do your own research . this is just one of many sources.

borax has a higher potential for systemic toxicity compared to washing soda. So it takes way less anmount of borax to be ingested for it to be harmful compared to washing soda. even relatively small amounts can cause internal harm if ingested. If you want to use Borax go ahead. I’m personally switching to washing soda

Also, I didn’t know this subreddit is like highschool means girls so snarky and immature.

Is he genuinely interested ?

I have been out of the dating realm for many years and my dating experience is very limited ( only one relationship)

So I’ve been talking to a cute guy from Bumble for about a week. He has asked me out multiple times by suggesting ideas , is pretty flirty, and has talked about things like our stance on marriage, future plans, and compatibility. We’ve agreed to meet up soon and already have a general plan, but we haven’t finalized the exact time yet. our date is supposed to be this weekend but an actual time is chosen yet. I did most of the planning and was leaving the actual time for him to suggest.

The confusing part is that it’s been 2 days since his last reply to one of my questions. I understand that people can be busy, but I also feel like sending a quick response doesn’t take very long like 5 seconds.

I’ve already double-texted once, so I don’t want to keep reaching out.

How would you interpret this? Does his previous effort asking me out multiple times and being flirty carry more weight, or would the recent silence make you question his interest? He has a job that is on call.

Would you send one message to finalize the plans, or wait for him to reach out? I’m worried I’m doing most of the heavy lifting when this guy isn’t that into me and I’m going to be disappointed. Also, he hasn’t asked for my phone number while other matches ask for my number.
