In my spare time I like to create motion logos for bands/artists. For many it isn't easy to find accurate, vector versions, so often I end up creating original assets I can use.

I did actually find a great vector version (thanks u/LincolnShow ), but what I need for my animation is the "hidden" 3D ring, so I've spent a bit of time reverse engineering it and - as far as I can tell - the outer part is a perfect circle, but the inner part isn't!

On the right (bright red) is the ring rotated back to being flat and the white circle sitting inside it is a perfect circle guide to show how far out the inner circle is.

Anyway, I thought it was interesting... I get that this is ultra niche.

This was the beginnings of a project remixing notorious TikTok videos, (back when most videos were music-based). The plan was to gradually remix (both sound and video) the original over series of short loops. It was through this project that I discovered that TikTok doesn't seamlessly loop videos. The slight hiccup I must've found frustrating enough to not continue.

Anyway, this was still fun trying to create a perfect loop of the bobbing head and then some tracking and other glitch effects. It was an attempt to force me back into music production as well, but I never found a comfortable routine with that.

Feels like another life. The last reel I made as an individual. Started a studio not long after this. The URL at the end is long dead.

Saw a post asking about a heavily degraded film effect (plus strong colour tint) on here or r/MotionDesign and decided to figure it out. In doing so I felt inspired to put it to some appropriate music and turn it into a lyric video (extract - I don't have time to do full songs these days).

I work as a motion designer and we do some relatively pedestrian projects, so when I get a chance I push the boat on on some spec work that aligns more with my interests.

My studio doesn't have any music connections, so I create stuff like this to get some attention in that industry. I know Femtanyl isn't strategically the best artist to get great reach, but inspiration took over.
