6 months in the making: Indy finally joined a community tank

Bought this little lady back in November with the intention of setting up an old 20 gallon to upgrade my ember tetra and shrimp tank. It was only supposed to take a week or two, but holidays, money, and time got in the way and poor Indy patiently waited for her new home in an old fry and plant storage tub for 6 months lol. Finally got everything set up and popped her in this afternoon and she is settling in quite nicely.

This week my fish all got to graduate up one tank size. My pygmies went into a 20 gallon 3 days ago, and today was the first time in the year that I’ve had them that I’ve seen them actually breed. Ive been pretty worried about them lately as my pygmy colony randomly deteriorated a few weeks ago and i lost 4 of them in a month. Im glad to see theyre at least feeling good enough to breed for the first time.

Upgraded all my tanks in an attempt to “downsize”. Family says i have too many tanks, and i think they’re right lol. Used this old 20 long to combine a 10 and a 5.5 that holds my betta. Haven’t put my betta in yet, i want my shrimp, tetras, and cories to settle in for a few days before i release my cantankerous beast upon them. Hopefully she’ll mellow out.
