DLC ideas.

I sent this to the devs. It would be cool to know if the got to read and comment back. But I doubt they will. Anyway here are my ideas. Feel free to tell me what you'd add or change. Thanks.

Dlc or add on ideas.

2 of them

  1. The floating lands.

A new area either north of the desert or south pf hernand.

The area needs lathe great lakes on the center that lead to the sea.

The name floating lands is for the cities on the water and the city that is above floating. The city in the sky is airships hooked together to make 1 of the capitals of the area. The second is a city of ships that are hooked together around an island.

When you go to this new land they dont like outsiders so you have to recruit more greymanes from the area so that they ppen up to you and trust you more. This feature let's you recruit from the current areas too after you learn it. You also havr to make an airship. Because if they see a wyvern or dragon approaching they open fire. The city in the sky is founded by great wyvern hunters. The city in the lake is founded by great whalers or fisherman. With the airship you get to choose 5 new greymanes to be on the ship. 4 regular crew members and 1 that is the captain when you are not on the ship. And when you are not on it, it is above the camp with a long rope anchoring it to camp. And you can slide down or climb the rope.

The story foe the area is this. Kliff and oongka and damiane get a message from a greymane that they need help. They were arrested and are being tried as a war criminal and going to be executed. When you get to the land you find out the two cities are at war with each other. It is caused by a troll who became corrupted somehow and is now playing the cities against each other.

#2' battle ready. This isnt a story dlc. Just a nee feature. A new section of camp can be added. It is dual purpose. It is like a mini animal park but also a place to train pets and mounts.

Mounts train them for battle or or tasks.

You can pick 3 mounts only for battle. And 3 for tasks. If you decide you dont want one in either group anymore then you can release them or just return them to the "stable " .

Foe battle each animal type can learn one or two new atracks. Horses can learn a spun move as they kick and buck.

Wyvern learn to use their claws to pick things up and can learn new elements as breath attacks.

For task horses can learn to haul heavy loads and pull things like wagons or plows.

Also with this update elephants and rhinos and hippos can be mounts.

Elephants can use their trunks to attack or to do tasks like ouvking up logs.

As you complete missions and complete trainings for each animal you unlock new saddles with buffs and can had gears.

Thats the training part. The other part that is like the animal park in deminess let's you pick from pte made biomes and add your mounts and pets to it. So they can walk around in their areas.

Wyvern mount experiment.

!!UPDATE!!

Nothing I have done has made them look or have different abilities. I've had eggs from different locations at different nests. I've attached axiom line and hit them with elements. I breathed fire with Blackstar. Tried different foods when growing them. And all the same variations. Unless people know of some actual way. Anything online showing they are different, it isn't true. Like a comment said possible update later on.

New wyvern mounts. I seen something saying they could have different abilities. I have yet to see more than wind based attack.

I gor the first baby wyvern when the original patch for it came out. I grew it to mount size with the most recent patch

Since the most recent patch I have collected ten eggs.

1 from the original spot. Green area on map.

4 from the castle tower spot. Yellow on the map.

1 from each other spot.

I hatched and grew original like I said. Wind power. I hatched 3 others from the castle spot. All wind. I hatched 2 of the 3 at the cradle and the third I hatched at the kuku bird nest spot. Near bloodsteel fort. 2 of the 3 hatched had wind power and looked the same. I also used my axiom line and connected to each egg ibwas hatching and hit them with different elements. Nothing changed. But could be because they were eggs from the same spot. More likely they don't have different elements. And it doesn't matter where they hatch or where you get the egg they will all be the same.

Anyone else have different wyvern powers?

Or have their wyvern look like the pic the devs posted?

Crimson desert gate of truth theory.

Definitely a working theory. One I wanted to share now that I have this much together. Lots of moving parts and aspects. Some may be taken out others may be added depending on what people find. Used chatgpt to form and write up my findings and ideas.and go back and forth and keep record. Hope this gets people minds going and at the very least it's a fun way to explore Pywel.

The Gate of Truth Mystery

Introduction

This is not intended to be presented as fact.

It is a collection of observations, connections, and theories based on discoveries throughout Crimson Desert.

Individually, many of these things may simply be lore.

Together, however, they appear to form a network of recurring ideas centered around truth, destiny, judgment, ancient civilizations, hidden knowledge, and forces that may operate beyond the normal world.

The purpose of this document is to gather those connections into a single place.

---

The Constellation Connection

The constellations may be more than simple star patterns or collectible lore entries. When their journal writings are viewed together, they form what appears to be a single narrative—a story about discovery, destiny, hidden truths, and the pursuit of knowledge.

The Chronicle of the Hidden Path

The world began with a mystery sealed away behind stone, hidden from those who were not ready to understand it. Yet some refused to accept boundaries. They gathered their tools and struck against certainty itself, believing that truth could be uncovered through effort rather than obedience.

They walked beyond the edges of every known map, into lands unnamed and uncharted. Where others saw emptiness, they saw possibility. The stars guided them onward, revealing that the end of one journey was merely the beginning of another.

Eventually they found what they sought: a single answer capable of unlocking a tightly sealed fate. But every key demands a choice. Once turned, there is no return to the path left behind. The door opens only for those willing to step forward without regret.

The travelers pressed onward like wheels that never cease turning. Rather than follow roads laid by others, they carved their own through wilderness and uncertainty. Progress became its own purpose, and each horizon revealed another beyond it.

Yet behind every triumph stood unseen burdens. Wealth, power, and splendor concealed chains as heavy as iron. Many who learned to read the currents of the world became trapped by their own desires, dragging their ambitions behind them forever.

Others pursued knowledge with a hunger that could never be satisfied. Their eyes pierced darkness in search of answers. They were called mad, reckless, obsessed. Still they continued, for only relentless seekers could force light into the deepest shadows.

Above them all watched a silent power. It did not roar or demand attention. It ruled from unseen heights, shaping events through patience rather than force. True dominion needed no proclamation; it was felt everywhere without ever revealing itself.

Some abandoned certainty entirely, setting their course to the winds of fate. They crossed endless seas with no promise of destination, embracing freedom over safety. The value of the journey lay not in knowing where it ended, but in having the courage to begin.

Others carried responsibilities so immense that they became burdens unto themselves. To earn devotion and trust was an honor, but leadership demanded sacrifice. The greater the faith placed upon one's shoulders, the lonelier the road became.

There were those who dreamed beyond ordinary ambition. Their gaze stretched farther than immediate rewards or fleeting victories. They sought achievements worthy of remembrance, believing that only grand visions could endure across ages.

And when hope itself seemed exhausted, some continued regardless. They walked through barren darkness, refusing to surrender. Endurance became strength, and perseverance became its own form of defiance. By continuing forward when all seemed lost, they created entirely new paths where none had existed before.

Why This Matters

The remarkable part is not any single constellation entry.

It is that the same themes continue appearing throughout the rest of the game's deepest mysteries:

- Hidden truths sealed away

- Journeys beyond known boundaries

- Fate and choice

- Knowledge gained at great cost

- Endings becoming beginnings

- Judgment and responsibility

- The search for something beyond ordinary understanding

Those same ideas appear again in the Gate of Truth, the Abyss Islands, the Sanctums, the Antumbra Order, and the Transporter locations.

---

The Abyss Islands Connection

The Abyss Islands appear disconnected at first.

However, they repeatedly discuss:

- Fate

- Judgment

- Endings

- Beginnings

- Hidden knowledge

- Realities beyond normal understanding

Many descriptions feel less like lore and more like instructions or warnings.

The islands often seem to be speaking directly to the player.

---

The Sanctum / Antumbra Connection

The Sanctums contain some of the most unusual enemies, equipment, and lore in the game.

Three bosses stand out:

- Antumbra's Staff

- Antumbra's Sword

- Antumbra's Spear

These are not weapon names.

These are the names of the actual enemies.

That detail is important.

Rather than ordinary individuals carrying weapons, they appear to be defined by the weapons themselves.

This suggests they may be titles, embodiments, guardians, or ritual roles within the Antumbra Order.

The Antumbra storyline culminates at the Cloister of Ruination, where Antumbra's Eye is found.

Additional nearby discoveries include memory fragments connected to Antumbra rituals and battles.

Taken together, the Sanctums appear to be one of the central locations in the game's deepest lore.

---

The Dark Pursuit Weapons

Three special weapons appear connected.

Antumbra's Staff

Transforms into:

Guidance of Dark Pursuit

Associated Abyss Core:

Dark Crescent

Description:

"Unleashes arcing bolts of dark energy, dealing damage to enemies hit."

---

Antumbra's Sword

Transforms into:

Vessel of Dark Pursuit

Associated Abyss Core:

Wound of Darkness

Description:

"Unleashes three blades of dark energy that push enemies back and deal damage."

---

Antumbra's Spear

Transforms into:

Thorn of Dark Pursuit

Associated Abyss Core:

Warden of Darkness

Description:

"Commands spectral knights to decimate nearby enemies with their spears."

---

These weapons appear to represent different manifestations of darkness.

Guidance.

Wounding.

Judgment.

Together they form one of the most complete themed equipment sets in the game.

---

The Soul Spear

The Soul Spear occupies a unique place among the special weapons.

Unlike the Dark Pursuit weapons, it appears tied directly to souls.

Its description suggests it was formed from the spirits it claimed.

It is also discovered differently.

Rather than being stored in a chest or placed on an altar, it stands upright in the center of an Antumbra-related location.

This presentation suggests unusual significance.

The spear's lore also aligns surprisingly well with Thorn of Dark Pursuit, whose description references souls claimed and transformed.

Whether intentional or coincidence remains unknown.

---

The Dragon Connection

Several major mysteries seem to orbit around ancient powers:

- Blackstar

- The World Serpent

- Dragons

- Ancient ruins

- Sanctums

- The Abyss

No direct connection has been proven.

However, many of the game's oldest secrets eventually trace back to civilizations and powers that existed long before the current age.

The dragons may represent surviving remnants of those ancient forces.

---

The Three Bearers Theory

One possibility is that the three playable characters were intended to carry pieces of a larger whole.

Example:

Oongka

Guidance of Dark Pursuit

(Currently the only character confirmed able to equip it.)

Damiane

Vessel of Dark Pursuit

Kliff

Thorn of Dark Pursuit

Or possibly Thorn merged with the Soul Spear if such a connection exists.

If true, the major Antumbra weapons could all simultaneously exist in active use.

Whether this was intended by the developers remains unknown.

---

The Abyss Transporters

Among the strangest discoveries are the transporter-related Abyss locations.

Unlike most areas, these seem focused less on combat and more on movement, transition, destiny, and understanding.

---

Corridor of the Void

"The Abyss, the source of adventure where destiny unfolds. Those who are certain of where their path leads and are ready to accept fate: move forward."

This sounds less like a location and more like an invitation.

A threshold.

A beginning.

---

The Void

"The Abyss where endings become beginnings. All your efforts and sacrifices shall be brought upon the stage of judgment."

This introduces the concept of judgment.

Not punishment.

Evaluation.

A final reckoning.

---

Light and Darkness

"The Abyss where what once began comes to an end. The end of the legend draws near. Have you overlooked anything?"

This may be one of the most important descriptions in the game.

The game directly asks:

"Have you overlooked anything?"

That sounds less like lore and more like a challenge directed at the player.

---

Dimensional Bonds

"The Abyss that connects space to space. Widen your perspective, and you shall realize that what you know is not all that exists."

This is perhaps the strongest evidence supporting theories involving alternate realities, hidden dimensions, parallel worlds, or deeper layers of the setting.

The wording explicitly suggests the player's understanding is incomplete.

---

The Gate of Truth

The Gate of Truth sits at the center of all of these mysteries.

It exists alongside:

- The Constellations

- The Sanctums

- The Abyss

- Antumbra

- The Dark Pursuit weapons

- Ancient ruins

- Dragons

- Transporters

- Dimensional Bonds

Again and again the same themes appear:

- Truth

- Fate

- Hidden knowledge

- Judgment

- Ancient civilizations

- Cycles of destruction and rebirth

- Realities beyond ordinary understanding

Whether the Gate represents an unsolved puzzle, hidden content, future expansion material, or simply extremely elaborate worldbuilding remains unknown.

---

Current Working Theory

At minimum, all of these pieces create some of the deepest lore in Crimson Desert.

At maximum, they may represent fragments of a larger secret that players have not fully assembled.

The constellations tell a story about seeking truth.

The Sanctums protect remnants of ancient darkness.

The Abyss repeatedly discusses fate, judgment, beginnings, endings, and realities beyond current understanding.

Dimensional Bonds explicitly states that what we know is not all that exists.

Light and Darkness asks whether we have overlooked something.

And at the center of all of it stands the Gate of Truth.

None of this proves a hidden secret exists.

But it does suggest that many of the game's deepest mysteries may be connected by a common narrative framework.

The game repeatedly points toward the same conclusion:

There is more here than first appears.

"Added a little after original post"

The Celestial and Ancient Relics

Not every weapon connected to the Gate of Truth mystery belongs to the Antumbra lineage.

Several other relics repeatedly appear near major lore discoveries, constellation investigations, ancient ruins, Abyss locations, and endgame exploration areas.

While these weapons do not appear to belong directly to the Dark Pursuit family, they may represent parallel forces operating within the same larger mythology.

Sword of Starlight

Among all non-Antumbra weapons, the Sword of Starlight may be the most significant.

Its symbolism stands in direct contrast to many of the darkness-based relics.

While the Dark Pursuit weapons draw power from darkness, spirits, and Abyss-related forces, the Sword of Starlight appears connected to:

  • Stars
  • Celestial power
  • Constellations
  • Illumination
  • Ancient knowledge

This immediately creates an interesting possibility.

The game repeatedly presents opposing concepts:

  • Light and Darkness
  • Endings and Beginnings
  • Truth and Ignorance
  • Fate and Choice

The Sword of Starlight may represent the opposite side of the same cosmic struggle reflected by Antumbra.

If the Dark Pursuit weapons embody darkness, then the Sword of Starlight may embody illumination.

Whether this relationship is intentional remains unknown.

However, the symbolism is difficult to ignore.

(ADDED HOURS AFTER ORIGINAL POST)

Fated Shadow, Wolf's Fang, and the Legacy of the Greymanes

Among all the weapons connected to the Gate of Truth investigation, two stand out because of the people tied to them: Fated Shadow and Wolf's Fang.

Wolf's Fang is not merely another sword. It was the personal weapon of Jian, the former leader of the Greymanes. During the Podium of Resolve quest, Kliff is tasked with recovering it from Jian's altar, effectively inheriting the weapon of the man who came before him.

The symbolism is difficult to ignore.

A fang is not a crafted tool. It is part of the wolf itself. The weapon's name suggests identity, lineage, instinct, and inheritance. Wolf's Fang represents the path Kliff has inherited from those who came before him, particularly the legacy of the Greymanes.

Even more interesting is an old legend attached to the sword. According to one item database, Wolf's Fang was forged by Pailunese craftsmen using minerals that fell from the sky.

If true, that creates a subtle connection between the weapon and the heavens themselves, which is noteworthy considering the recurring importance of constellations throughout the Gate of Truth mystery.

Fated Shadow represents something entirely different.

The weapon is obtained after defeating Goyen on an Abyss island. Unlike Wolf's Fang, which is tied to inheritance and the past, Fated Shadow appears connected to destiny and the future.

Goyen is one of the most unusual figures encountered during the investigation. His appearance and role have led many players to speculate that he may represent an older Kliff, an alternate Kliff, or some future reflection of Kliff's path.

The weapon's name supports that interpretation.

A shadow is often a reflection, duplicate, memory, or alternate version of something. Adding the word "fated" transforms it into something more specific: a future already written, a destiny waiting to be fulfilled.

Viewed together, the two weapons appear to represent opposite directions along the same road.

  • Wolf's Fang represents inheritance.
  • Wolf's Fang represents where Kliff came from.
  • Fated Shadow represents where Kliff may be going.
  • Jian represents the past.
  • Goyen may represent the future.

This becomes especially interesting when considered alongside the Abyss descriptions collected throughout the investigation:

  • "The source of adventure where destiny unfolds."
  • "The Abyss where endings become beginnings."
  • "The end of the legend draws near."
  • "Widen your perspective, and you shall realize that what you know is not all that exists."

The Abyss repeatedly references fate, alternate possibilities, beginnings, endings, and perspectives beyond ordinary understanding. Fated Shadow sits directly within that framework.

One interpretation is that Wolf's Fang and Fated Shadow form a symbolic pair.

One is inherited from a former leader.

The other is earned by defeating a figure who may represent what the current leader could eventually become.

In that reading, Wolf's Fang is the legacy Kliff accepts.

Fated Shadow is the fate he may one day face.

HERE IS A BIG ONE I THINK. COULD BE IMPORTANT COULD BE NOTHING!!!

The Axe of Apocalypse and the Weapons of Fate

If Wolf's Fang represents inheritance and Fated Shadow represents destiny, then the Axe of Apocalypse may represent something else entirely: the end point.

The weapon's name immediately stands apart from most other legendary weapons.

Wolf's Fang is tied to Jian.

Fated Shadow is tied to Goyen.

The Dark Pursuit weapons are tied to Antumbra and the Abyss.

But the Axe of Apocalypse is named after an event.

An apocalypse is not merely destruction. In mythology and religion, the word often refers to a revelation, unveiling, or final truth. It is the moment hidden things become known.

That connection is noteworthy because the central mystery itself revolves around the Gate of Truth.

Throughout the investigation, recurring themes continue to appear:

  • Truth
  • Fate
  • Judgment
  • Endings becoming beginnings
  • Light and Darkness
  • Destiny unfolding
  • Hidden knowledge

The Axe of Apocalypse fits naturally among those themes.

Viewed symbolically, the three weapons may form a progression:

Wolf's Fang

  • The inheritance of the past.
  • The legacy of Jian.
  • The path Kliff receives.

Fated Shadow

  • The future.
  • Destiny.
  • The possible outcome of Kliff's journey.
  • Goyen as a reflection of what may come.

Axe of Apocalypse

  • Revelation.
  • Final truth.
  • The conclusion of the journey.
  • The moment all hidden knowledge is revealed.

This interpretation becomes even more interesting when placed alongside the Abyss descriptions:

  • "The source of adventure where destiny unfolds."
  • "The Abyss where endings become beginnings."
  • "The end of the legend draws near."
  • "All your efforts and sacrifices shall be brought upon the stage of judgment."

Those statements describe a progression rather than isolated locations.

Beginning.

Journey.

Judgment.

End.

Wolf's Fang, Fated Shadow, and the Axe of Apocalypse appear to mirror that same progression.

Whether intentional or not, these three weapons seem to occupy different points along a single path.

One inherited.

One encountered.

One revealed.

The beginning, the fate, and the final truth.

The Axe of Apocalypse is categorized differently from ordinary weapons. It does not appear in the weapon quick-select wheel and is stored with Abyss Artifacts, Bird Feeders, and other unique items rather than standard weapons. This suggests the game may internally treat it as a special relic, key item, or quest-related object rather than purely as combat equipment. If the Gate of Truth mystery involves a hidden trigger or undiscovered interaction, the Axe of Apocalypse should remain on the list of potential catalyst items.

Bringer of Balance

Originally believed to be a possible direct clue to the Gate of Truth due to its location and name.

Bringer of Balance is the weapon of Master Du, one of the most mysterious figures encountered in the game.

Master Du appears less like a conventional warrior and more like a sage or enlightened being operating outside the normal political struggles of the world.

The weapon's description emphasizes balance.

This is significant because balance is one of the recurring themes surrounding:

  • Light and Darkness
  • The Abyss
  • The Gate of Truth
  • Judgment
  • Fate

The Gate itself is constructed with extreme symmetry.

Circular forms.

Balanced architecture.

Radial patterns.

Even if Bringer of Balance is not directly involved in activating anything, its thematic connection remains noteworthy.

Master Du's Circlet

Unlike most helmets, Master Du's Circlet possesses unusual offensive properties.

The Circlet produces energy attacks and behaves more like an artifact than ordinary equipment.

Master Du himself appears connected to the deepest layers of the game's mythology.

Much like White Crow, he seems to exist outside the normal hierarchy of kingdoms, factions, and wars.

The Circlet therefore belongs among the game's more unusual relics rather than standard armor.

Testing at the Gate of Truth produced no visible reaction.

Nevertheless, the Circlet remains part of the larger collection of artifacts associated with hidden knowledge and ancient powers.

Constellation Helm

The Constellation Helm remains one of the most important items discovered during the investigation.

It directly connects to:

  • The thirteen constellations
  • Celestial observation
  • Hidden knowledge
  • The Gate of Truth investigation

Multiple tests have been performed using the helm:

  • Activation at the Gate
  • Observation of constellation movement
  • Veil traversal
  • Blackstar testing

No direct activation has occurred.

However, the helm remains one of the strongest symbolic links between the constellation system and the Gate itself.

Knowledge Helm

The Knowledge Helm occupies a similar thematic category.

Where the Constellation Helm appears connected to the heavens, the Knowledge Helm appears connected to understanding.

Throughout the game, knowledge repeatedly appears as both a gift and a burden.

Many descriptions imply that understanding comes at a cost.

This mirrors themes found within:

  • The Constellation Chronicle
  • Dimensional Bonds
  • The Void
  • The Gate of Truth

Soul Spear and the Question of Transformation

The Soul Spear deserves special attention because it may represent a bridge between several different systems.

Its description suggests it was formed from souls it claimed.

It is discovered standing upright in an Antumbra location rather than stored as treasure.

Thematically it appears connected to:

  • Souls
  • Memory
  • Transformation
  • Persistence beyond death

This raises an interesting possibility.

The Dark Pursuit relics may not simply be weapons.

They may represent stages in a larger process.

If true, the Soul Spear could represent an evolved or completed form of that process.

No evidence currently proves this.

However, the symbolism is difficult to ignore.

A Pattern Emerges

When viewed together, these relics appear to fall into two broad groups.

Celestial Relics

  • Sword of Starlight
  • Constellation Helm
  • Knowledge Helm

Themes:

  • Truth
  • Knowledge
  • Stars
  • Illumination
  • Discovery

Abyssal Relics

  • Guidance of Dark Pursuit
  • Vessel of Dark Pursuit
  • Thorn of Dark Pursuit
  • Soul Spear

Themes:

  • Darkness
  • Souls
  • Judgment
  • Transformation
  • The Abyss

Between them stand figures such as Master Du and relics such as Bringer of Balance.

These may represent a middle path between opposing forces.

Whether these categories are truly connected remains unknown.

Yet the recurring themes appear too deliberate to dismiss entirely.

At minimum, they reveal an extraordinarily detailed lore structure hidden beneath the surface of the game.

(ADDED 1 day later)

The Wheel, the Abyss, and the Gate of Truth

One possibility is that the Gate of Truth is not the center of the mystery at all. Instead, the true center may be the Abyss itself. Throughout the game, the Abyss repeatedly references fate, beginnings and endings, judgment, hidden knowledge, dimensions, and perspectives beyond ordinary understanding. More than any other location, it appears to touch nearly every major mystery encountered throughout the world. In this model, the Abyss serves as the hub of a great wheel, providing the foundation from which all other mysteries emerge.

The spokes of that wheel are the individual mysteries themselves: Antumbra, the Sanctums, the Constellations, Goyen and Fated Shadow, the Transporters, Master Du, the Axe of Apocalypse, the Dimensional Bonds locations, and other discoveries yet to be made. Each spoke is connected to the Abyss in some way, but they do not necessarily appear connected to one another at first glance.

This is where the Gate of Truth may play its role. Rather than being the hub, the Gate may be the ring that connects the spokes to each other. It does not create the mysteries, nor does it necessarily contain the final answer. Instead, it provides a framework through which the relationships between seemingly unrelated mysteries become visible. Antumbra begins to connect to the Sanctums. The Sanctums begin to connect to the Constellations. The Constellations begin to connect to the Abyss. The more connections that are discovered, the more the larger pattern begins to emerge.

In this interpretation, the Gate of Truth is not simply a door waiting to be opened. It is a lens through which the deeper structure of the world can be seen. The Abyss is the foundation, the mysteries are the spokes, and the Gate is the ring that reveals how everything fits together.
