are these normal symptoms?

Hi, I am currently fighting an outbreak of cold sores on my upper lip! Since then, I’ve had swelling, facial burning/shooting pains throughout my cheekbone/eye area, as well as my nasal canal feeling inflamed. This is only occurring on one side of my face (the side with the cold sores). My nose feels as if I dropped my cellphone on my nose bridge, it is sensitive to touch. My cheekbone/eye area burns when I touch it as if it’s a sunburn. My lymph nodes are swollen as well.

I am currently taking acyclovir and methylprednisonol. I am just wondering if this is normal? I started taking these meds after the swelling occurred, it is honestly what brought me to the er. I have included photos to this as well. I will add, the Dr. mentioned shingles so i’m not sure.

I messaged someone from the parklands earlier today, but I wanted to post here too so people could be aware. We took our dog to Floyd’s Fork in the Parklands yesterday. She loved the water and swimming, and we’ve been multiple times with no issues. However, she got very very sick yesterday after we went swimming. She was vomiting, seizing, and had to be intubated at the emergency vet. They tried to save her for hours, but told us she had ingested Blue Algae while swimming (which is toxic to both humans and mammals!) and she wouldn’t recover. We ended up putting her to sleep. I just want to make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else, and I know with the weekend and summer coming up it is a popular place to get in the water. So please, please be careful!

TLDR: Dog died yesterday after ingesting a neurotoxin in the water at Floyd’s Fork in the Parklands, which can be fatal for both humans and animals
