MY Premium RWD Black LR SS £650/m for 10k miles good value?

Basically the heading - I have been keeping track of Tusker's price from past few weeks/months and it has steeply increased in last couple of months (was £590 couple of months back).

I will be in need for placing an order in Oct/Nov considering all the recent delivery delays as I need to have the car with me in Mar/Apr (ideally April - new FY). I am fully aware that BiK will push it even higher in FY27/28

I am uncertain whether to have the booking done now for an earlier delivery to lock in the price, or should I wait for Oct/Nov/Dec hoping the prices be cooling down a little? I appreciate this will be mere guessing what may happen, only looking for what you would do in this situation.

Help me choose a DA orange/yellow rose please

Hi, I am based in UK (south east) and looking to plant a shrub rose in north facing front patio so limited sunlight - I have shortlisted (unable to decide between) -

Bring me sunshine
Poet’s wife
Roald Dahl

I will be growing this in a pot and a frangnant one will be better.

Is there anyone of these which will be particularly better over other given the conditions?

Thanks

What’s best for daily office wear

Hi Guys - middle age guy here (42) and work in typical corporate setting. If I could ask you to suggest one scent (or two for summer and winter each), what would you suggest please?

Perhaps would be laughed at but the only perfume I own right now is Sauvage elixir (gift from wife) while I doubt it’s for work setting.

Hydrangea Limelight

Hi All - got this delivered online and perhaps not in the best of health (sorry, I am a newbie)

I intend to put this in ground but planning to leave in the pot for next week due to hot weather (UK South east) and that the ground need some prep. Is this ok to water it and leave in pot for a week? I have topped it up a little bit with multi purpose compost and I think the root was on level.

Also, should I prune this yellowish/brownish leaves which I presume is due to delivery getting delayed? Just get rid of such leaves, is it? Thanks

Help with Generous Gardener

Planted this climber 3 weeks ago with John inees compost and DA root fungi - have been watering every 3 days (every 2 days in this hot UK weather) - the flower petals are shedding in a day (it was very windy last week), and now the blooms are looking tired/burnt even before fully flowering - the moisture in the soil looks ok.
Should I add tomato feed?
Help please. Unfortunately can’t move this to any other places.

Help with serving notice period

I have served a resignation yesterday at my company which has a 3 months notice (so officially till 17 Sep).

My new employer is flexible with my joining within 3 months, but I don’t want to join before 1st week of September due to personal reasons.

Have spoken to my current line manager - because I have no billing, he has said to release by July end (which I don’t want), I think this is save company money.
Can the current company really force me now to go early, or if they do so, should I expect some PILON payment. I have said that I can accept a release earlier by 04 Sep or serve full notice.

What are my rights here? Attached is the snippet from contract. Thanks

Leaves during notice period

On behalf of my partner -

She’s finally handing in her resignation tomorrow. Been a tough year for her receiving PIP despite being one of best employees (multinational company) due to cost cutting, lowering bell curve, office politics and what not. She is finally receiving a remuneration what she deserves (40%hike)

Question is - she has 3 months notice to serve. How are sick leaves and annual leaves viewed during the period. The current work is light so there isn’t much handover to do. She has been tortured in the past year to let go her 5 leaves too (!) to fulfil clients deadlines, so she is adamant to do minimum necessary and take some sick leaves too (may not sound ethical but we are beyond that point). All these grievances meeting did not help too when this happened - been at the company 15 years.

Jury duty - wife has to taxi taxi for school pick up

Location UK

Hi - I have a jury duty coming up soon. As a normal household arrangement, I do all necessary school/nursery pick ups and drop offs as my wife doesn’t drive.

While I am doing this duty, my wife will have to take a taxi during school pick ups as any alternative arrangements with other parents isn’t working out. We expect a daily cost of £12-£15 which adds up significantly over 2-3 weeks of service.

I work full time and jury duty will be paid by employer. While I can get my transportation reimbursed, could I expect wife’s taxi cost to be reimbursed as well as this charge falls outside of normal childcare arrangement?

What people generally do to avail Charity days from employment?

Employer provides 3 charity days as full paid leaves in a year, don’t really say what qualifies to avail these leaves - I am not really into charity other than odd local plantation drives I engage sometimes over weekends.
I also don’t want to let go these leaves - asking here to see how people view/avail these with a workaround?
