I'm really into renfaires and want a wooden rat "mask" (more of a hat I guess, I wouldn't want it to cover the face). Because the prices of mask makers are intensely high (rightfully so but still I don't earn that much) I'd have to make it myself. Question is just if that's realistic at all for someone who's only ever carved a stick to roast sausages over open fire? I have artistic skill, but it's definitely in the drawing and not the crafting area. I just really want to make this work somehow.

The brown marked part is the only wooden part, the ears, teeth and fur cloak would simply be attached. I'd love it even more if the fur cloak could be removed with pressure buttons or something, because in this summer heat I think I might die otherwise.

Mind you I'm not expecting to be done with it this season, I'd take as much time as I need.

It takes so much to get used to the handling of ProCreate if you're used to Paint Tool SAI, at least that's the case for me. Because of that I often give up drawing on ProCreate out of frustration, but pieces like this where I'm quite happy with the resulst certainly hate getting over that frustration.

I definitely need better sketching brushes though, please, if anyone knows settings or brushes that make sketching feel natural/like drawing on paper I'd be SO appreciative! I'd love to use my iPad as a sketchbook.

This was the first time I ever used Procreate to actually draw and not just sketch, it sure was a good practice. Also first time I ever in my life drew a foal I think, I'm getting more and more comfortable with drawing horses :>

It feels like there's a filter on it. Pretty bad at grasping colours and lighting so I'm happy for any advice!

Ich hab vor ein paar Wochen gefragt, ob ihr euch an Kaddis Kindheitscrushes erinnern könnt. Tja, das hier war der Grund, warum ich gefragt habe: Ich wollte ihr mal ein echtes Boyband-Poster gönnen. Selbst gezeichnet versteht sich, aber die Autogramme sind natürlich voll echt, ich bin extra bei den Jungs vorbeigegangen, ich schwöre. Für Robbie hab ich sogar eine Zeitmaschine involviert.

Ich durfte es ihr heute persönlich an der Fantasy Basel überreichen. Time of my life aber vor Nervosität kein schlaues Wort herausgekriegt, leider.
