As the title says, I’m working on a fan fiction character in the JJK universe, but I’m working on naming his Domain Expansion. I haven’t started drawing the designs yet, but I can provide the following description.

Name: Kuramasa Rei

Age: 20

Description: Rei is a new student from Jujutsu High for the accidental killing of a classmate using his curse technique. He is a massive fan of 80s/90s goth culture (always dresses in black trench coats and leather), Clive Barker, and horror films. His curse technique involves unleashing pain on those who cause him any harm (mental, emotional, or physical). To maintain control of his technique he represses his emotions as much as possible to the point where he must remain monotone when speaking. That being said, his technique sometimes has a mind of its own and retaliates against anyone if he gives even the slightest of reactions. He calls his technique “Rule of 3” as the pain dealt to others is always no less than 3 times the pain he receives. As mentioned, the curse technique is capable of acting on its own, which makes it highly difficult to fully control. Sometimes it will even manifest as a separate personality within Rei. When it manifests this personality, Rei’s voice deepens and he becomes the definition of cold and merciless, dealing the “Rule of 3” to an extreme and often lethal level of pain on anyone who so much as annoys him or gives him a headache. Because of this, Rei’s usage of this technique is restricted by Jujutsu High’s leadership, and he is only allowed to use his domain expansion when no other sorcerer’s/civilians are nearby or as an absolute last resort. To keep the cursed technique personality at bay, Rei is forced to study cursed tools to develop and design his own sealing tool that locks a significant amount of his power away. He decides to base the design off the Lament Configuration (puzzlebox) from Hellraiser.

Domain Expansion: Rei’s domain can only be unleashed when he opens the box that mostly seals away his technique. The release summons an eclipse that leads to the entire surrounding area fading to black. Ominous bells toll. Cracks form in the darkness with pale light shining through, and suddenly this veil of endless darkness lifts to reveal a massive unending labyrinth, similar to that in Hellraiser 2. It forces himself and his opponent(s) (along with anyone else caught in the domain) into this landscape with chains, hooks, barbed wire, and all manner of torture techniques at his disposal. The domain essentially tears everyone, except Rei, apart, body and soul, and seals their souls (or what’s left of them) within the box, leaving the mess of what was done for the entire world to see.

Anyways, I’d love to see what ideas you all might have for the name of such a Domain Expansion. I want to try and make it a name in the style of Hellraiser and how Domain Expansions are named in the anime/manga. If you have any suggestions for names, I’ll take all that I can get.

I’m completing a new graduate program (my first grad program in over 10 years) to get an Administrative license to be a public school admin. I’ve completed all the 5 major courses, but I need to finish the year-long internship portion of the course this year to complete the program. The program I’m in was advertised as being accessible for full-time working students (I’m a high school English teacher). However, every class has required me to write papers that have been some of the most physically, mentally, and emotionally draining and infuriating academic experiences of my life. Each one ended up being 17-28 pages. I’m now finding out that my year-long internship is gonna require me to write 6 of these types of papers and maintain a 240 hour reflection log on top of being a full time teacher and a supportive husband who is present for my wife.

I already see a therapist weekly. Does anyone have any other suggestions to make this coming year not as infuriating? I just want more work/life balance for my personal sanity.

Does anyone know if Tales of Eternia Remastered is getting a US Physical Release? I can’t find a place to preorder it anywhere online.
