It’s only been about a day and a half since Clive Barker’s new Kickstarter campaign launched and it has earned more than $436,000 as of six hours ago.

The goal of $25,000 was actually earned in the campaign’s first hour.

It’s great to not only see Clive Barker celebrated, but also the support for genuine literature in an era when so much of our art is surrounded by artificial compositions. For those unfamiliar, Barker is launching a new book series titled Library of the Dead which will serve as a spiritual successor to his Books of Blood.

With the Kickstarter launch for his latest books, Clive Barker made an exciting announcement regarding his health:

"Now, after a period of ill health, I am celebrating my full recovery and excited to be generating new work.”

The new books, released under the Library of the Dead moniker, are said to be a spiritual successor to his legendary Books of Blood run.

“When I began to create the short stories for the first volume of Library of the Dead, I knew I had found the right moment to reawaken my creative passion for unapologetic, terrifying horror fiction.”

Barker is back!

For those who bought the collector edition did you pick the physical or digital game?

So I just recently got an email from Boss Team Games saying that our collector's editions are ready to go, and we now have the option to pick from a physical or digital disc. The deadline is the 20th, and I'm now debating whether I want to go with the digital or the physical disc. For anybody else who bought the collector's edition, what did you choose?

Edit: I got the Leviathan Edition, so either way, I get the steel box, which I will display, but the disc is the part I'm "meh" on. I did the same thing with Doom, but that came to Game Pass, so I just spent 200 bucks for the statue and the steel box. But I would like to just be able to launch it from the dashboard. I know Xbox is coming out with disc-to-digital, and I'm not sure if that would be worth it.

Blue eyes, plot point?

A focus is put on Larry's blue eyes early on so we can tell him from Frank, later. At the end when the guy who ate the bugs comes back to retrieve the box from the fire he has Larry's blue eyes. Is there supposed to be a connection I missed?

First time watching through.

Made a cyanotype print out of my favorite bts still from Hellraiser

Hey everyone! I’ve been really getting into cyanotype printing on fabric lately. If you aren't familiar, it’s a light-sensitive photographic printing process that leaves a deep Prussian blue print after exposure under UV light.

I made this piece using a custom transparency negative exposed onto the shirt. I love Hellraiser and wanted a print with this photo that's been a favorite for a long time.

What does Kirsty do after Hellbound Heart?

Novella spoilers for the end of Hellbound Heart!!!

I just finished the novella in a single sitting. Excellent read, and I will be collecting more Clive Barker books.

Kirsty gets the puzzle box from the Engineer, ponders what to do now, then the story ends.

HOWEVER: do we ever learn anything about Kirsty in the next books? Does she get mentioned or make appearances, or is the story considered complete and in a sense she’s left alone? Like how Lovecraft’s characters don’t typically show up in his other stories.

I know there’s lots of non-Clive Barker content, including apparently some comics where they have her as a coenobite, maybe as an alternate universe story, but for this question I’m only considering as canon the books by Clive Barker… and maybe the upcoming video game which looks excellent enough to be considered canon-worthy, tbh.

I know there’s a supernatural detective who was played by Scott Bakula, and I saw he’s in a new book where he meets Pinhead/the hell priest. Looking forward to reading these stories.

Kirsty Tattoo

I’d love to get a Hellraiser tattoo featuring Kirsty, but I’ve noticed that most of the tattoos I see are centered around the Cenobites, especially Pinhead (can’t blame everybody, I want to get Pinhead as well). But I’m curious if anyone here has a Kirsty tattoo or knows of any good reference images/art of her that would work well for a tattoo. I’m specifically looking for realistic portraits. If anyone has a Kirsty tattoo they’d be willing to share, or knows of any good images that might work as inspiration, I’d really appreciate it! I’m trying to get some ideas together before talking to a tattoo artist! 🖤
