Not blaming the moderators for anything, just find it funny when I scroll through some posts I find really odd threads of people tearing each others heads off instead of discussing the opinion.
I.e. "You should load your dishes into the dishwasher ONLY after you remove the food crumbs" and the comments somehow make it about Dems vs Repubs or go on tangents about strawmen and debate techniques.
I guess an alternate title to this that is included in another post of mine will be "Discussion and debate of topics today is more about beating your opponent through technique and strategy like a chess game than actually conversing on the topics."
If I need to list examples, I consider you blessed; you haven't been to the darker parts of Reddit yet, or been exposed to the multiple controversies this platform still hasn't addressed.
The fact that this opinion may even be slightly controversial shocks me.
*I do admit, based on actions and societal standards, a community/religion/system can be deemed undeniably morally or socially evil/corrupt/etc. Some worldviews are ultimately deplorable to a point where being a member in any capacity is not defensible. Those groups are the exception to this opinion.*
