Unique EZ-PASS situation in Massachusetts
Hello, i’m looking for advice if there’s something I should do about my situation. I am not in trouble about it, I just want to ask about the legality of me technically knowing my situation. I come from out of state, my license plate is from NH, I have em dashes and technically an illegal combination of letters in my plate, but it’s legal because of the dashes. Apparently the Massachusetts ez pass does not read em dashes and just combines all the letters then tries to send a bill to it. But that’s the problem, the license plate it’s sending it to, doesn’t actually exist technically. So for probably the last 2 years, i’ve been going in and out of Mass, I haven’t been billed a single time for EZ PASS tolls, i do in NH. I even called and asked if I have tabs on any type of toll in mass, and they told me I don’t have any. I just want to know if I should do anything about it, or would it be fine if I just continue since it’s a system error on their end and I didn’t do anything wrong.
Thank you, i can give more info if needed.
