I am 58 don’t smoke and socially drink . I have an infected tooth upper back which needs root canal or extraction . Can you tell me if this is an abscess I’m worried it might be something nasty. It swells and gets smaller in the day and if I push on it I get a painless pulsating been there 18 months

I have had an infected tooth which needs a root canal /removal . I have not been able to get back due to finances . I’m worried that this is not an abscess on roof of mouth next to infected tooth back upper? It swells sometimes after eating and I it sometimes pulsates if I push it
