Why is there no food delivery on trains?

I recently returned from China and was very impressed. The high speed trains were fast (usually cruised 250-300 kmh), crazy smooth, and on time down to the minute. Every time I ride Acela, it is very bumpy, especially on the very limited segments where the train accelerates to max speed.

Anyway, the most interesting part was there were QR codes where we could order food from restaurants near the next station. The attendant would meet the delivery man at the station, and they would distribute the meals shortly after departing the station. I had KFC!

Why doesn't Amtrak do the same? The food on Acela is not good (where do they even source the Cheeseburgers?)

Can I afford this card on a $150K salary?

I got the CSR about 2 years ago when I was working in consulting. I recently got fired and I'm now in corp strat, which as you know pays meaningfully less.

I'm 26, pay about $2,000 in rent per month, and am relatively frugal.

Does anyone have any advice? Is this still the right card for me? And by "right" I mean I can afford COMFORTABLY.

Is CoS worth it for learning experience? Low ball $130k offer coming out of MBB

Hi all! I recently received a CoS position at a Series A startup. As someone interested in starting my own company, I thought it might be a good learning opportunity.

Unfortunately, the compensation is very low — $130k — less than half my salary at MBB. Is it worth taking this opportunity for the sake of the learning opportunity?

The counterargument is you learn by doing: if my goal is to start a company, I better start today. I'm 25, and I'm acutely aware of timing passing by. I graduated from college 4 years ago! If the CoS — similar to B-school — is just a delaying tactic / an unnecessary training wheel, I'd like to avoid it.

I received another offer in corporate strategy — a cushy 9-5 job that will pay $170k. That's a lot more money and it would give me more time to ideate / beginning building.

Best case scenario, CoS would be a great "apprentice" opportunity and could be worth the pay cut to work with a seasoned CEO. Downside, I mentioned above. Any thoughts?
